How can I pull in the 3 or 4 most recent blog entries on to the homepage?
Hi,
you can show 3/4 blog posts on home page only if you use portfolio shortcode on the page which is set to be home in Settings -> Reading.
If you’re using Latest posts for front page, then you’ll see on the home page the number of posts which you set in Settings -> Reading.
I hope this makes sense…

I searched through the comments for an answer to my questions, apologies if it has been posted and I missed it.. I noticed many repeat questions and can understand any frustration.
What font was used for the ‘BIGBANG’ logo? Great theme, btw.

I have encountered a few problems as I’ve been working with this theme and I’d be very happy for any help you could give me.
1. I’m having the same problem as ‘nomoredull’ – when using shortcodes for columns that the columns after the first one do not horizontally align. Deleting all line breaks and spaces doesn’t seem to help.
2. When using a centered title at the top of the page (like your ‘Home’ page on the demo page), it drops down rather than sit centered between the two lines. Similar to what’s going on i question 1 above.
3. My About pages consist of two sub menus (like your demo page) but I can’t figure out how to get the ‘About’ link to direct you straight to the first drop down sub menu like on your website. The reason why I want it like this is because i want ‘About’ as the main menu, the another title at the top like where you have ‘Team’ on yours.
I appreciate your help. It’s a great theme.

1) you’ve deleted it from HTML editor (not Visual)? This should work (but only from HTML editor)
2) Try to wrap it with one column shortcode
[one]...[/one]3) In WP Menu you can rename the menu item. This is the structure I’m using

Also, do you have all fields populated in Brankic Panel -> Contact (FROM field)
I’m online. And Yes, all fields are populated in Brankic Panel (except captcha). Don’t you think it’s a UNIX permission problem on my FTP . I tried 745 and 777 – no issue.

Hi, I’ve noticed that when using shortcodes for columns that the columns after the first one do not horizontally align. They seem to drop down one after the other by 10-15pixels. Is this a bug or is there a fix I can use? It is the same on your live demo site.

you should delete all line breaks and spaces (in HTML editor) between shortcodes.
Great theme! I ran into a problem while using the theme together with the polylang plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/polylang/). Most of theme works with the plugin activated but the category names, both portfolio and blog, go blank and I can’t create or assign them to the post. Any thoughts or quick fixes?
I need to be able to host the site in 2 languages. Open to suggestions.
I’m great anti fan of language plugins
My solution: create 2 folders on your server and install 2 instances of WP. Each one should be separate website for each language. In the WP Menu of 1st installation add link to another language and vice versa.
Manage these 2 websites separatelly. Not much more work and you don’t have to deal with these plugins.
Per your suggestion, if we run two separate websites, how would we link between pages across the two sites, without manually inserting a separate link into each page? i.e. from the team page in one language directly to the team page in the other language.
This theme is gorgeous! Love the multiple portfolios.
One Question: In an individual portfolio page, when I select a photo from the slideshow it currently pops up a light box saying “null” is this suppose to light box a larger image of the selected photo? If so, do you have an example?

I love the light box, on the page http://demo.brankic.net/bigbangwp/portfolio/carum-rarum/# the pictures under the text pop out into a light box. Is it possible to have the photos in the slide show on the right to pop out into a light box view when selected so they can be seen larger? Or is it something that would require me to hire a freelancer?

To add prettyPhoto lighbox pop-up you should add prettyPhoto[] as rel attribute for link. Click on the image, click on Edit Image icon, go to Advanced settings and in Link Rel add prettyPhoto[]
Or, you can add this to Extra JavaScript in Brankic Panel and you’ll have that effect on all images in that section

I want the page without the “DesignerRoo” logo on there, but I want the “DesignerRoo” logo to show up on all the other pages as well.

for every page there is an option to remove title (check the Brankic Custom Fields below the editor)
To remove logo only from http://www.designerroo.com/blog-1/color-eater/ add this to Extra CSS

Hi I would like to know how I could set the blog to a smaller width. I don’t want to use a sidebar but I would like my blog page to be centered and not fullwidth, let say something like 75%. Now it is streching my images and they look weird.

blog style 3 is what you need. To change some other layout as per your wish is very hard (a lots of CSS rules need to be changed)

960px wide is the optimum. However if you use bigger image it will adjust to the width of slider.

Figured stuff out with the static page. I’m not used to the simplicity of wordpress so sometimes it’s way easier to solve than seams 
So i have to put all changes made in the css directly in the brankic pannel?
Also I was wondering i have this weird advertisement setting on the BigBang pannel which i enabled on all my posts but i still get this crazy roll over advertisements. Where is this coming from?

it’s better to use Extra CSS if you change only few things. If you’re CSS expert, change it in CSS file, but keep that changed file (because updating the theme overwrites all files, and not the Extra CSS in Brankic Panel)
Not sure about what advertisement you’re talking about. There is no such thing inside our theme, so check your plugins.
There’s something weird with your blog page. Try to update the theme because it looks like there is an error in some of the php files…
