hi, I read the whole long list of version 4.0 on facebook! awesome! One thing, most of our readers are on mobile, can you add any more features? I would like to add maybe a Button to the menu from the smartphone (like on desktop) Maybe 2 different buttons (I had to use the css for now).

Thanks for the suggestion too. There is a big list of demos in the pipeline currently, so I’m afraid if a Millitary one is made, it is some time away from being made. However, is there no existing Zeen demo that you could use as a base for your site? I imagine if you switch the colors of one of the demos to simply be more millitary-like, it would look fantastic and together with the images and logo should look great

I just had a look and see your ticket has been replied to already earlier today 95% tickets are dealt with by the support team very quickly. Hi there – hope you’re well – just wondering if there is a way to force the default Let’s Info Up display to push the image above the text box when viewed on mobile – it’s split half screen at the moment, pushing the post text down and looks really ugly on mobile sadly. Yes, there is an option to show “last updated date”. I’ve enabled the “show updated date in byline” option (it appears above the main post title) and edited this post so you can see it in action:

The Zeen dev site is running WordPress 5.7 without any issues, so I’m not sure what issue you are describing exactly.
Please open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and share all the relevant info – such as including a relevant url where the issue can be seen and any other relevant info that could help the support team investigate. Such as, did you disable all plugins to test if one of them is the real cause of the issue, etc.

Hello friends. First I have to say, I love ZEEN. And now, a little issue to fix. The responsivness in bad on mobile phone, take a look on mobile as well. The text on mobile has only 3-4 letters, the related posts are in one line (3columns). It should have only 1 column. Hi. This is an amazing theme. I’ve been working with it for a newspaper project. Something I miss is the ability to have more freedom on categories, so it can have a different logo (if it is a supplement) and the posts on that category can apply the same logo/menu/sidebars. I guess you can’t do that. Also, you could add an option for bylines on each block based on categories. And some more options on Typography. Thanks.
About the dates: there should be an option to change to a shorter date on the post (different from what you use on top of the header on the menus) or change from the X Days Ago format either on the blocks or single post view. You should add that to the Substitutions options.

Really happy you like Zeen so much. The exciting v4 update is coming soon too, and it’s going to get a whole lot better. Typography options have seen big new improvements in it too
You can already set a different header logo on individual categories though, there are theme options for that. If you need help doing this, open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and someone from support can give you a hand.
The theme also has the “X Days ago” format as an option, ask in support if you don’t know how to set it.
Re the date format, this can also be changed already, ask support too

Thank you for your answer. I will do that and open a ticket. I tried the different header, but this doesn’t apply to the articles from that category. Also about the dates, for the top of the header is good to have the full date, for recent news in blocks and single posts can have the “X Days Ago” format, for all the others a short version like 14 JAN 21. That will be great.
Another feature I miss is the option to have a block with the last posts by author, where you can see the avatar and the articles alongside.
Looking forward to v.4. Great job so far.

Can custom fonts be used?
I watched your YouTube video breaking down your web builder since I’m unfamiliar with it but didn’t see how you’d change the fonts in the blocks.

That video is actually from Tipi Builder 1.0, the builder has improved leaps and bounds since then (Zeen v4 will be out soon) and a new video showing the latest version of the builder is probably overdue
But yes, you can set different fonts to all editable text. Here is a screenshot showing what I mean:
The highlighted text was set to Montserrat font, the rest of the text is Playfair Display font.
The fonts that appear in that tool are the ones set in the theme options panel, as well as all system default fonts. You can add more fonts in the Tipi Builder too, but as fonts are heavy it is important to not go over the top and load too many. Unlike other builders, Tipi Builder encourages performance and design to ensure great results. Here is a screenshot of the Tipi Builder’s extra fonts loader option:

Now i have this wonderful Theme one Question, when i visit my Temporary Website with this Theme, then i don’t see the Logo Area. Only when i visit with a Mobile Phone. The Logo is behind a black frame!

A syntax analysis software gives me this:

And I found the solution that recommends adding this to the functions.php file, my question is if this is viable or can cause any error.

Hi Chris,
I just recently installed Zeen and just wow… It can get overwhelming with the tweaking to obtain basic results (Post with video/Image gallery, etc) when starting from scratch, nevertheless, I made it my mission this month to tackle and familiarize myself through a demo site.
For the mobile version, is there a way to align the Search icon to the right with the rest of the icons same as on Desktop? It seems to default to the extreme left corner before the Logo, I’m trying to keep that space for the logo only while on mobile.

The theme is 100% compatible with PHP 8 (Zeen demo sites are running it right now), those warnings are generic PHP quirks and I can confirm that the Date archive warning has already been patched up and will be included in the next theme update.
The customize color tool has not been reported before, but it’s also been patch up now. But just to calm any fears – These are just debug warnings, nothing to worry about for production site as they aren’t actual problems/errors.
Re the search icon on mobile, there are different mobile header designs in Theme options > Mobile, did you try a different one that puts it on the other side?

Hi, the Let’s Review plugin seems to be running into an issue with the latest WP version (5.6.2).
I get a white overlay over the entire page when I click to visit one of the pages on our site.
The issue seems to be with the “swipebox-js”. Once I hit the ESC button on my keyboard, the overlay goes away but it still won’t let me navigate to different pages.
Will you be addressing this bug soon?
