Hi.
I use OC3 with Journal3. I use extension, that update prices automatically every few minutes. It works everywhere except on home page, because some cache is blocking it, so prices are frozen. After we disable all cache and everything possible, there is no progress, so I believe that Journal 3 use some cache only on home page. I do not have active support, but before I purchase it can you confirm me this is true and will your support team will be able to help me with instructions how disable this function manually?

Hi, Journal cache is saved in storage/cache folder in files starting with journal3. prefix, just delete those files after importing data and that should solve your issue.

Hello, I need to upgrade our old shop on OC 1.5.5.1 with Journal to OC 3, but for me its very complicated a take long time and everything could go wrong. So I want to ask if is posible to make new installation of OC 3 on testing domaine (not public) and use new copy of Journal and then export and import all settings and customers from old shop to the new one, test it to work everything right. May I do it? At the end of process there will be again only one OC shop with one copy of Journal.

Thanks Guys, – This is definetly on the Journal side using Journal checkout – even selecting bank transfer as a payment method the error comes up in the browser console.

It cannot be replicated in your demo stores as the only payment option you have enabled is cash on delivery, please enable bank transfer or any other form of payment and you will see it, I’m not opening a support request as this is not my only issue, this is a theme bug that is affecting everyone
We have now enabled Bank Transfer payment method in Demo 1 and everything works fine, maybe you have third party extensions that interfere with your checkout page, have you checked your installed extensions first?
I have tried to open a ticket but my support has expired, I have payed for it before at least twice but barely asked for help I think one or twice… I belive 6 Months is a short period of time knowing that you do not allow custom work or modficication othen than Bugs fixing which in good terms we are the customer and the testers that allow the theme to be as good as possible it could be.

Offering unlimited support to unlimited users is not sustainable, at least this the conclusion Envato came to when they set up the support rules and we agree with them. We’re just one of many authors selling our product through their marketplace under an exclusive agreement, in other words we can’t sell the theme outside the Envato ecosystem since they also have to take their commission from every transaction, including from the support renewal. Moreover, it would be unfair to people who buy extra support on a regular basis so we hope you understand our situation.
With that said, we do make exceptions when an actual bug might exist, but in cases where 3rd party extensions might be involved, this falls outside our support scope.
If you can rule out other 3rd party extensions and still feel this is a theme issue, you can send us a private message via the contact form on our profile page, with temporary access to your setup so we can take a look, however, if it’s not directly related to the theme we may not be able to help.

I do understand, but I also know that at least you guys could have also a valid form of a Open forum on your website or at least maintain it into Opencart as it’s the base platform where the theme works. And not just only give us the paid form of support Thanks for understanding the users too
This is a commercial product, and also the most pirated Opencart theme. Keeping our support within the Envato marketplace at least provides us with the knowledge of whoever we speak to has at least purchased the theme in the past, even though support may have expired.
So we have the comments here for free communication where bugs are reported without support.
Support only comes in play when you run into issues which cannot be replicated in the default implementation, and thus it’s not a bug but a compatibility issue or something else, not sure without investigating.

Hi, your support is expired and needs to be renewed in order to file tickets. However, your issue is related to the fact that the module is using our demo data so you need to populate it with your own data and also apply the Items per Row rule, since now they are all 1 item wide. Search our docs for Items per Row.

The current Items per Row are not global in nature by default, they apply to the module you assign them to.
In case you need the same Items per Row rules in different places, you can create a reusable variable and apply that in multiple places, however, they won’t affect anything else.

Also, it should be noted that we’re working on a new approach for the Items per Row. The current implementations will still work the same, but we want to introduce an extra “Automatic” type feature that should assist with initial layouts.

Regarding Support: With Envato, are there actually no longer support packages available, only 6 months? There is also the handling fee.
Are you aware of any longer support packages, or do you offer any yourselves, other than buying the theme new and having a year, for less than the price of 2×6 months support? That seems strange.

In this way, the products that are in stock on the category, search pages and other pages will appear at the top.

Regarding: Top Menu Bar, Secondary Menu Large Icons (Wishlist, Compare). the Heart and Arrows on the top right side. There is no Tooltip or mouseover option, yet, right?
We can only either always show or hide the Menu Title, or is there another way to kindly explain to customers, what the icons mean?

Hi, that’s probably because there isn’t the same proportion as on desktop so the slider adjusts the image. Try to input different image dimensions in the Phone tab from the Image Dimensions option in your slider.
We are working on more intuitive slider controls and resizing mechanisms but I don’t have a timeframe right now.

On demo 1 you have the “login, register, wish list, compare” next to the right of the search box. I’ve just spent hours trying to find out how to get those back, I must have turned them off or deleted them, but I can’t find a way to get those back. How do I activate or make them again?

The “Top Menu Module” is missing all modules just has none, is that normal do I have to create the new modules myself?

Well if the modules don’t exist then you don’t have them anymore, for whatever reason, they could have been deleted (like any other module). So just create new ones again and assign them to your header.

Not really, unless you exported your setup and have it saved so you can re-import it.
There’re no reasons why modules would simply disappear unless you deleted them or imported a different setup (like a different demo or other local exports) that would override your current setup. Or you may have unrelated database issues, can’t really say. Best to just recreate them.

2. Product availability date
Is there a possibility to show the availability date on product page. On product creation page you can select the date when the product will be available. Can this parameter be visible on product page?

Hi, from the error message, there seems to be a problem with some of your images, they cannot be processed by the webp converter, please file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this. As for the available date, there is no such option at this point, to add it to the product page you may have to edit some Opencart and Journal files, please consult with an Opencart developer for more information.
