How do you remove the sidebar?
Hi,
In our Crate theme, you have the options to choose the style of the page, so if you set the page style to classic it will have a sidebar and if you set it to grid it will be displayed without a sidebar.
So please go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Options, and set the style of blog layout to grid.

Crate is less powerful, but is also faster and it is easier to work with. In the other hand Bifrost is very powerful and lof of layouts can be created with it, including Crate theme.

I’ve already installed more plugins and they work good to disable right click, but no way with CTRL or ALT, I can open images in new page and save them by right click.

Don’t worry about late reply.
I installed “No Right Click Images Plugin” who uses Javascript, it works good, but with CTRL or ALT + left click I can open pictures in new page and save them.
I noticed with fancybox disabled CTRL or ALT + left click doesn’t work for the picture, it only opens same link in new page.
I tried also your plugin suggested (logged out, and other one deactivated) but still working everything (also right click).
I know my support is expired and I’m very sorry, but I would like to know if there is any solution to fix this combination CTRL or ALT + left click on pictures and keeping fancybox.

Hi, could you tell me how versatile the Gallery is? I like the easy handling of catergories, simple lightbox and captions to pictures. But for the Gallery itself, you show it with 3 photos in one row. Can I also choose, 2 or 4 or 5 photos in a row? Is it possible to change the margins in between and on the outside?
Finally, can I space out the Gallery in a way to seperate series? (techincally I could put white photos in between but that would look amateurish….)

Yes, you can change the columns of the gallery easily to 1-2-3-4. I can also provide you with Custom CSS, in case you need the 5 column gallery. http://prntscr.com/md5fgv
As for the spacing, that can be enhanced easily with some Custom CSS.
As for the third one, that is not supported by default, but with some Custom CSS and an image between we can get something to work.

ACF plugin just made a huge update and somehow the other two plugins ACF Repeater and ACF Flexible Content got crashed, so there’s an easy fix to this one, you have to update the ACF Repeater and ACF Flexible Content.
We have updated the theme at ThemeForest which includes these two plugins, so the directory of them is crate > includes > plugins.
Delete the old ones, install and activate and everything will work as it should.

Hello Neuronthemes, Thanks for your great work! Simple, easy and so minimal. But I have two little problems, hope you can help me.
- I’ve noticed the next prev navigation is linked to the portfolio items list, so actually I have two pages, when I’m navigating inside one of these using next prev feature it shows me projects mixed up with the other page. I would like to show only projects of that page, is it possible to fix it in settings?
- In the same way, is it possible to redirect “back to portfolio button” at the top of the page I’m visiting?

Well, if you have separated the two pages with two different categories, then it’s an easy fix. You have go at single-portfolio.php and in lines:
line 162: previous_post_link('%link',"<i class="fa fa-angle-left" />", false);
Change from false to true:
line 162: previous_post_link('%link',"<i class="fa fa-angle-left" />", true);
The same also for the next arrow on line 172.
You can do this also in the child theme, just copy single-portfolio.php from the main directory and paste it on the child.
The second issue also can get done in the same file, on the line 166.
Change from:<a href="<?php echo esc_attr(get_page_link($crate_portfolio_item_backtoportfolio)); ?>"> </a>To:
<a href="#"> </a>

Hi, I have a question about the portfolios on the home page. At the moment, when you click on an image, you are not redirected to the portfolio but a popup let you navigate featured image of the others portfolios on the homepage. Can we go to the portfolio selected instead ?

You’re right, we have still not implemented any breadcrumb to Crate, there are a lot of plugins that would support crate, I would suggest you the NavXT breadcrumb plugin, Crate will support it, I’m sure.

As I have seen in the comments and after researching the documentation, it seems that the gallery is very basic with no control over thumbnail size. Can I use another gallery plugin, like NextGEN Gallery without any conflict ?

We’ll we still have not implemented the thumbnail sizes, but you can use any third-party gallery you like, there won’t be any conflict with our gallery or portfolio.

Seems theme doesn’t work with Advanced Custom Fields 5.7.6. You could not upload gallery in portfolio item

The plugin Advanced Custom Fields just made a huge update and somehow the portfolio item gallery is not displaying at all. No worries, we have already updated that issue, so here’s what you need to do next.
- Remove plugins ACF Repeater and ACF Flexible Content
- Download a fresh copy of Crate from ThemeForest
- Grab the two plugins from crate > includes > plugins
- Re-install them and everything will work as it should.
