Hello I sent a loom video link to express my issue someone looked at the video I sent because I get notified, but nobody responded, please respond to my support, I just purchased this theme and having good support would be very helpful.

Hello Madras, Thank you for the response, I did get the email but I am being told about doing css work, I love this theme but is seems to have to do css code for almost anything that is not working correctly.

It seems that this theme is really built for coders/developers being that this is the case, in my opinion it would be a great for you or your team to create tutorials it would take a huge burden off of you always having to answer soo many of the same questions.

Even is it is css related if it is shown in a video it would be soo much easier for your average customer to understand.

These are simple things that you and your team can do that I truly think would make a lot more customers happy many of the questions in this feed could have simply been answered if you had a video tutorial on your theme because many of the same questions are asked over and over.

I will continue to try and work with this theme and reach out to support until all is working the way it should work.

Please take my suggestion into serious consideration.

Customisations are many levels. Simple ones are available through theme options and complicated ones through custom code.

While customisations are outside of support scope, we continuously improve our theme and customer experience with inputs from the user. We also try our best to provide custom code for custom requirements if it does not consume much time.

Hello, I would like to know if this theme can be customized without having to use css, like to add footer widget and change the background color and text color, can this all be done with theme options?

Hello there,

Thank you for purchasing our theme and for reaching us. We can made theme styling only with custom CSS code and there is no option to change background color and text color with theme options.

You can change the themes primary color in Vodi > Styling.

1. You can add the custom CSS code in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

2. Vodi is built for Gutenberg and is not compatible with other page builder.

I want to use this theme to host texts. That when people click the “play now” button, it takes them to a text page with some images, is it possible?

Thank you for your interest in our theme. The theme uses WordPress custom post types. You can use just the texts however you’ll not be able to change the terms like movies/videos, etc.

I recommend that you try out our theme before purchase. Please email our support from the Support tab and we’ll setup a trial for you to test our theme’s features before purchase.

Hi there,

I have some questions about Vodi:

1. I notice you somehow tie in to IMDB (without an API?) for ratings and video data like cast and so on… can you do ratings and video data without IMDB? Ie. if the information is not in IMDB can you fill in the data yourself?

2. It looks like you support multiple genre’s or categories – are these premade or can you add and remove categories?

3. Can site visitors rate and vote for videos (for eg. if we ran a competition and the video with the most votes would win and/or highest rating)?

4. Reporting – is there a reporting dashboard that gives analytics like – video with the most watches, votes, highest ratings.

5. Can you add multiple clips for a single “movie” ie. we’d put in a 5s animated logo for our brand, then after the movie or episode we’d add in a 15-30s reminder to vote and rate the films. This would be for Movies or series episodes.

6. If a user starts watching a series will it automatically load the next episode or will they have to click the next episode?

Thank you for your interest in our theme. To answer your questions :

1. We do not tie with IMDB. All content in our demo are fictitious. Our theme uses MAS Videos plugin which as a TMDB Importer which uses TMDB API to import movies into WordPress.

2. Yes, you can manage categories/genre’s as per your wish.

3. Yes, your users can rate and vote for videos. We use third-party plugins for that. You can use your own third-party plugins.

4. No our theme does not have reports. However third-party plugins that you use for ratings and views provide these reports.

5. I am not sure if I understand correctly. However, you can email our support, we’ll setup a trial for you and you can test this.

6. No we do not have an auto-load next episode feature.

Quick question, you mention that the Ultimate Membership plugin will work well with your theme. With that plugin I think it has woo commerce in it to. Will installing woo with your theme cause issues. I do not know much about the ultimate membership plugin, but will purchase that as well, extremely quick learner.

Also I do a live stream on Youtube. It takes some changing of the embed code to get to show up on websites, but that should work with your theme as well, as it allows for embeds. Is this an Iframe?

Not really sure if I need the movies or tv shows feature, for sure the videos. But will I have complete control over the categories and everything if I choose not to use the the movies and Tv shows feature.

Also is there a way to remove the frontend upload feature? I do not want individuals uploading videos. Is that possible, or easily done?

Where can I globally rename „Movies“, „Videos“, and „TV Shows“ like I can rename the permalinks? Same with Persons. I wanna give the theme my own category names.

1. Our theme does not have any WooCommerce specific code. If you are looking to restrict your users from accessing your content, you can use any of the popular membership plugins. These plugins generally work independent of the theme and only require minimal integration with the theme.

2. Our theme uses WordPress’s oEmbed feature. To put simply, if your embed code works in WordPress post it should work with our theme as well.

3. You can disable front end upload and Movies/TV Shows using custom code. We can help with this custom code.

4. Renaming post types require custom coding.

Any plan to do movie database like TMDb? Currently your theme is streaming site Is there any chance you will add movie database site?

Thank you for your interest in our theme. Vodi can be used as a movie database. We’ve included Movie v6: https://demo3.madrasthemes.com/vodi-demos/main/movie/paradigm-lost/ and Movie v7: https://demo3.madrasthemes.com/vodi-demos/main/movie/the-tale/ for this purpose.

Now I know it can import on TMDb, 1 last question, where is image host server locate? local drive server or TMDb server?

Yes, we’ve included TMDB importer which imports movies. Images are imported into your website as a featured image.

I recommend that you try out our theme before purchase. Please email our support from the Support tab and we’ll setup a trial for you to test our theme’s features before purchase.

Thank you for getting back. This feature is not available and will have to be custom coded using third-party plugins. Unfortunately, we do not offer customisation services so you’ll have to rely outside of our support for implementing this feature.
