Hi, I’m interested in purchasing the theme but I’m unclear about the flexibility of formatting the homepage. Is there some sort of shortcode for showing “latest posts from the blog” in place of where it says “recent work”, and have the latest blog posts show? This is really important, since I would like to features blog posts from several different categories on the homepage dynamically (as latest posts from each category). Thanks!

homepage is just a normal page, like all other pages on live preview. You can combine almost everything you see.
Recent work section is shortcode where you can select any category you have. All portfolio pages are pages with just one shortcode where you can define category, shape, columns, number of items to show…
If you want you can tell me exactly how do you imagine your home page (with the content from any page from live preview) I can try to make it and show you.

for some reason, it is not showing up in the colour when you are on that page? Could you advise as to how and where i change this?

this is because you’re not using WP Menu (Appearance -> Menu).
Create new menu, and select it for Top menu.

Hi, i’m having a problem with text align. It was all ok sin cesome hours ago, but now with i use for example a Two thirds + One thirds, the 2nd one allways get one space down, not aligned.
Even in the Features-> Collums page (that i still have on) is happening. Do you have an idea of what i could have done that makes this happen in every page that have this shortcode?

I’m trying to display a youtube video for the feature image of a blog post. I’m using the pretty photo code as you said to but it comes up with the youtube viewer with no file to watch saying that its unavailable.
Do i need to install a plugin in was it included in the bangbang zip?

no plugin is necessary. Is your YT video URL full, or shorten?
You have to use use full URL of the page with video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fer4JUpYWV0 )
Footer Issues
Hey, I’ve been playing with some of the css to style the theme a little more to what I would like. However, I’m not sure if its something I did in the css files or something else, but my footer seems to be cut off and I’m not really sure why?
Also, my footer is floating in the middle of the page on the following pages:

I understand, but would really like the footer to work so I’m willing to “start over” to get it too so I’ve installed the complete 1.7 theme update and replaced every file, but my footer still doesn’t seem to want to cooperate. Can you take a look and give me any suggestions for what to do to make it work?

Hi,
you have to insert widgets into each footer sidebar if you want the same layout like we have on live preview.
For footer left and right sidebars we’re using just simple Text widget and for Fotter 1, 2, 3 and 4 we’re using our widgets (included in the ZIP file you’ve downloaded in folder plugins).
I’ve tried that but I’m still not able to get my footer to work at all. I’ve tried putting the “Brankic Photostream Widget” in every option just to see if it made a difference. I even left your default info filled in, in the “Brankic Photostream Widget” (Footer_1st_Box, Footer_2nd_Box, Footer_3rd_Box, Footer_4th_Box, Footer_Left, and Footer_Right). I still didn’t have any success. My footer still appears “cut-off”.
Do you have any suggestions?

Very weird.
Try to remove all photostream widgets from footer sidebars. Insert only text widgets.
If you use all the same data in more than one photostream widgets, xcript will go mad (at least one parameter must differ: network, username or number of images)

Hey, just thought I would let you know that with some playing around I got my footer to work. Turns out I had a gallery plugin activated that wasn’t actually being used (I dont think), and that was somehow making it so that my footer didnt work. Anyways, I got it working now.

How can I change the background of the centred title? I’d like to use the white background colour for some parts of the layout and create gaps with the centred titles, so the background image becomes visible.
Also it would be great to know how I can make the background colour slightly transparent.

To make background color (in boxed version) transparent, add this to Extra CSS in Brankic Panel

0.5 in the example is amount of transparency. 1st 3 numbers are RGB codes.
Centered title doesn’t have any background color. Here is the declaration.

We don’t have plans of updating icons. However, it easy for you to do with minimum knowledge of any image editing software. You have to replace one of the icons you don’t use with new one…

It’s responsive, so image adjust to the width of container. This width has different values depending on screen size.

hallo i have installed just the theme , but when i write a page and i click on shortcode button, it appears a list and then if i click on a button ( for Example ” portfolio” a popup appears but nothing inside. i have tried to do the same in another server and all works, but not in myne, any suggestion?
As you can see this happens only on some servers. I’m working on update with fix for this. Meanwhile, check the HELP folder with PDF with all shortcodes and options.

Quick question about the rotating banner on the main page. Right now the navigation of the slides is controlled by the Left and Right Arrows but I want to make it so the slides are referenced by a navigation below the banner. You can see what I mean here:

About banner/slider. You can’t do that out of box. However I’m sure there are slider plugins which allows something like that.

I love how clean the theme is – One question:
On my homepage, I’m using the 4 column portfolio shortcode with a hover effect (to show an excerpt). Is there a way to keep this hover effect, but get rid of the two buttons on the bottom? – and make the whole hover an available link to the post?
Reason is – the two icons on the bottom – people keep clicking the magnifying glass – and not knowing there is additional information once they see the lightbox appear.
Awesome theme though! Almost exactly what I was looking for.

For me, only logical place for clicking is Title. We can’t change the code to allow clicking anywhere because there are too many things to change.
It’s easy to remove preview icon, just add this to Extra CSS in Brankic Panel

You can’t have video in sliders. You can use video URL custom field, or Additional HTML custom field (explained int he help file)
and sorry, i didnt mean in the slider, I meant to display video using the URL custom field… I put the relevant URL into the custom field section and a box for the video appears on the page but there is an error message and the video can’t be played
It’s explained in the help file what format you have to use in this custom field.
YouTube or Vimeo must have full URL (not shortened one) of the page with video. MOV or SWF have additional code (examples are in the help file)
Hi there, I have purchased your theme and I really like it, but am just having an issue with the portfolio. I am a total amateur (this is the first time I’ve tried to create a site with wordpress) so please excuse my ignorance.
I imported all of your site info into my new site as I figured it would be easier to see how everything is done, but when I go to the portfolio (4 column) set-up, it doesn’t display like your website. The filters are not visable (it just says ‘ALL’ at the top), the thumbnails are squashed and only some thumbnails show on the page. it’s explained in the help file. There are instructions what to do if you don’t want to use portfolio shortcode button (how to grab correct cat_id)
Sorry, there’s only 3 short paragraphs on this in the help file and none of it is helping me! I have used the shortcodes (it’s set up exactly the same as yours, as I just imported the dummy file) and I’ve double checked that the shortcode matches the shortcode string in the shortcode pdf file provided (it does), so I just don’t see why it’s not displaying correctly?
Is cat_id value correct?

I’m having trouble with the image sizes using extra images in portfolio posts. Even though I am sizing the images each manually, the slideshow isnt showing them at the correct size. Especially with portrait images – default seems to make portrait images full page even though they are sized.
Can i fix this? Or can only horizontal images be used in the portfolio? Is there an auto size feature for the portfolio images?

images are responsive to the width of website. They are 100% wide. If you have only portrait extra images, use twin slide option.
