You can use third party plugins. On pages created with the Layers editor, including preset pages, you can use plugins that woeks as shortcodes or widgets. On pages that are created by the standard WordPress editor, you can use plugins that works as shortcodes or blocks.

Please post link to you page. On mobile devices only self hosted video backgrounds are supported. Video which loaded via file URL.

Please specify where the video is being downloaded from. From your own server or from YouTube or Vimeo? Which version of Skrollex is displayed in admin panel?

The video has been uploaded to my media library. The version of Skrollex is the latest one as I mentioned before – Version 2.7.

This is most likely due to the caching settings. Probably the old version of the scripts was cached somewhere. Try disabling all plugins, clearing or disabling caching.

It is also possible that you are using a video format that is not supported on your mobile or on your browser version.

Hello, we have managed to get the video working on Android but not Apple iPhone. You mentioned that the video format may not be supported. Which formats will work on all mobile browsers? The video is mp4. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the ability to autoplay depends on browser’s security policy. On iPhone in Safari, autoplay can only work if it is allowed in the browser settings. Also autoplay may not work in battery saving mode or in low battery.

Ok thank you. In that case I will place an alternate image for the background. Only the alternate image is not showing now. I have selected the image through the place provided on the background video widget. Why would this not be working?

I checked. The theme scripts do not handle this situation correctly. In the near future I will upload update with a fix of this issue.

In the meantime is there any way I can fix it? I have designed the website around the background videos. Is my only option to remove background videos or have blank background for users on iPhones?

I do not use this plugin and do not know how to work with it, but if I understood you correctly, then you have some options in the pages that you create with a regular editor. Try to open the Layers page with a regular editor. You may be able to change these options there. But I’m not sure if the page will open normally after doing this. Better create some test page and try on it.

You must have the best practices for your theme in adding SEO meta-tags. This is what I am asking you. HOW DO YOU RECOMMEND ADDING SEO TITLE AND DESCRIPTION TO THIS THEME’S WEB PAGES? I am not interested in adding new test pages just to add SEO meta. If this theme does not allow easy adding of SEO meta, it should not be sold as a theme. please advise.

WordPress does not support SEO meta editing. And I do not know themes that support it. But there are third party plugins that support such features. If I understand you correctly, then you are using a plugin that allows you to do this in a standard editor or somewhere else. I suggest you set these parameters for the Layers page in the same place where you set it for regular pages. If the plugin allows you to do this in the standard editor, then open the page with the standard editor and you will see the same options. But keep in mind that the theme has not been tested with third-party plugins, so it is safer to first test the plugin on a page you don’t need.
But you can try to do this right away on the working page for your own risk, most likely you can roll back everything using Revisions if something goes wrong.
Also, do not edit the content in the standard editor if the content was created in another editor, but if you set some parameters on the additional tabs that the plugin adds, then most likely it will work fine.

All other themes that I have used support Yoast SEO. Obviously, this theme was not designed to work with an SEO plugin because you do not have an easy way to add SEO to the site. I must say, this theme has an exciting design but there are backend issues that need to be corrected for this theme to be useable. I do not want to give you a bad review to warn others of the issues that I am having because I want you to be successful. I would use this theme for other clients if ALL of the issues were addressed. Are you planning on adding usual functionality to this theme. LIKE – 1. Easy SEO meta tag input 2. Ability to add a MOBILE image for the homepage hero image that is sized for mobile while having a larger, wider image for desktop for homepage hero image At least these few changes would allow what should be included in a theme. The theme is not tested with third party plugins, but I just tried installing Yoast SEO and set the title and description for the page. It worked without any problem. I haven’t checked the other options, but they are also available for the page as with any other theme. Please understand that the theme is not tested with all third-party plugins and I cannot guarantee that all third-party plugins work correctly. I also may not know how to use some third party plugins. But if you have any problem, you can describe it in detail, post error messages and I will try to suggest how you can solve it.
As for the second question. Usually in themes there is no way to add different background images of sections for different devices. But I’m certainly not sure that such themes do not exist. For the background of sections, images that depend on the aspect ratio are usually not used. Probably this function is in little demand and therefore such a function is not planned in the near future. The fact is that if you use an image as a background that depends on the aspect ratio of section, then you may have problems on large devices, depending on the shape of the browser window or the user’s zoom parameters and the amount of text. In the theme, all color settings are carried out using color schemes. The documentation has links to several videos on working with color schemes. Please see this videos.
Background images are scaled automatically to fit the section. As the aspect ratio of the section depends on the size of the browser window, you should not use images that should not be cropped at the sides or at the top and bottom. Place such images in the foreground. Use for backgrounds only images that can be cropped on any side.
Don’t use empty columns for layout. This will not display correctly. Unfortunately, in the SX Section, it is not possible to set white space on the sides. Perhaps this can be done in third party plugins. If you use blank columns on the sides, this will behave unpredictably depending on the size of the screen.
You can only change your blog design with custom CSS if you have coding skills. Or you can use third-party plugins to display the list of posts in a different way.
