Hi, for WooCommerce product pages mobile view, would recommend that you put some sort of dots below the gallery to indicate that there are more images to be swiped. Otherwise it looks like one image and some users can’t find the other ones.
Also, do you know the best way to get out of using the flickity carousel overall? The update got rid of the scrolling gallery and would much rather have that on mobile.
- Ability to change blockquote font size
- Ability to change logo max-width or max-height size on all three devices
- Ability to change logo subtitle font size in the typography section
- Option for search modal bg color to match reading mode
- Option to put tabs (possibly accordionized) below the product summary in the sticky block while gallery on the left is scrolling
- Add dark mode documentation that explains how to fix some elements not converting to dark mode. Is there a CSS workaround?
Related to dark mode, going from dark to light, the logo stays on light until the page is refreshed. Is it related to LiteSpeed cache?

Dark mode elements not turning is likely a theme quirk, in v4.0.4 a few elements that weren’t changing do change now.

Check this in mobile view. The gallery has more than one image, but there is no way to know unless the user swipes. For you and me, that’s no issue because we know how to navigate websites like pros, but the average user will just assume there is one product image. Consider adding dots at the bottom.
Did you add Flickety to the theme or did WC start using it? Seems like Flickety has lots of options for slide behavior and display. https://flickity.metafizzy.co/options.html
What I need to do for a specific use case is get rid of Flickety entirely for the mobile gallery and just display the thumbnails in full vertical.
Update for anyone who finds the above comment and wants to make custom Dark Mode modifications…
Just find the CSS selector you want to customize and add this before the rule:
.mode--alt--b
For example if you want to change the excerpt font color in dark mode, you would add this to your style.css in your child theme:
.mode--alt--b .excerpt {
color: #ffffff !important;
}
Ah gotcha and totally agree. Will look into adding dots there as they should appear. Flickity is a Zeen implementation, so it has full control over it all

Has the ability to make the ‘Lets Info Up’ box landscape disappeared? I used to be able to choose between portrait and landscape orientations, but now the choice is gone and it just shows as portrait beside my blog text.

Not at all, the option is still there. In fact, in the latest version you are now able to select a different design option for mobile and desktop too. Go to Appearance > Install plugins to check if you’re on the latest version.

Hmmm… yes I can see the option to select a different mobile design. And I do seem to have the latest plugin for Lets Info Up (1.4.1). But no options for desktop. I’ve taken a screenshot so will open a ticket and send.

WooCommerce Issue: Clicking an external affiliate “Buy” link does not actually load the page. The “Buy” button just spins for a second and nothing happens.

I have installed the last version of wordpress (WordPress 5.7) I have a blank white page appearing when I click on any link of the website.
I can see you are aware of the issue by searching the comments here and others are having the same issue.

TROUBLESHOOTING UPDATE: I’ve just deactivated all plugins and tried the Buy Now button again but still not linking to the external link so confident it isn’t a plugin conflict. All themes and plugins are up to date.

I think you should be fine to update, your customizations should not be affected. Just make sure to check the documentation’s new section regarding breaking changes when upgrading from v3 – v4. There are only 3 minor ones, but you should be aware of them in case they apply to your site and you need to make tweaks (they are easy tweaks).
To see the differences though – You should check the changelog at the bottom of the theme’s description page here on Themeforest – that shows all the changes that v4 includes from the previous v3.9.8.x.

Thanks much, Chris. Turns out the only thing I had to do was reset my base font sizes, which for some reason dropped down by about 5 px.
That said, it sure would be nice if you could fix the conflict with NextGen Gallery so that I could edit with Tipibuilder without having to turn off that plugin…
Ah I see, there is a minor quirk with responsive typography options at the moment – but it’s been fixed for v4.0.4 which is due out this week, so I’d recommend not changing the font sizes until you update to it to ensure it’s all good.

FYI: I’ve updated Zeen from 3.9.8.4 to 4.0.2 and it kills the Spotify embeds. I’ve switched back to 3.9.8.4.

It works with the embed code, but not with the automatic oEmbed via URL.As I use in all my posts the oEmbed code it doesn’t work. I guess a few people will also confronted with this bug. I stay with the 3.9 version until it’s fixed. Thanks.

Hm, nothing changed with oEmbeds though, although it could be related to the new lazyloading of iframes. Could you please open a ticket and share the exact code you’re using + instructions on where you’re putting it (is it in Gutenberg, Tipi Builder, Classic Editor, etc) so the support team can investigate. If it’s a new issue, it will 100% be patched up and likely be included in the v4.0.3 update.

Hi Chris, sorry for my late reply. Yes, your hint was right. After turning off the new option “Lazy Load Embedded Iframes + Videos” the Spotify embeds works again. You’re doing a great job.

i’ve used the custom editor for all my work (used gallery posts for the most part) ... i’ve just switched to gutenberg and it seems zeen converts one post at a time … does zeen do a batch conversion (is this possible) ....

please note the converter failed to scan … it needs to be updated since it is tested for up to wp version 5.3.7 … i’m running 5.7.1 and zeen 4.02
Hm, I don’t know of other plugins that can do it unfortunately, however, you can report that failed to scan error to the plugin author and I’m sure they’ll fix it via a plugin update. However, just so you know, not converting old posts to Gutenberg won’t cause any issues, they’ll continue loading as they always were.

Ah yikes, no I wouldn’t bother rolling back WordPress! Bit of a hassle, probably best to wait for a plugin update and do it that way. Until then, you could just leave the old posts.

<path…. html is an SVG image, I don’t know where you have an SVG on your site but that’s what it would be a part of (the reaction emojis are SVGs for example). However, don’t worry about max dom depth or child elements messages, they are not important and can’t be reduced (Unless your site is a super, super basic site, such as Google.com’s homepage).

Zeen hasn’t been officially tested with that plugin, however, if you test it on TwentyTwenty theme (default WordPress theme) and it works well there – then it will 99.9% likely work the same in Zeen. This is because Zeen follows best WordPress coding practises so plugins that work with the default theme (also written following best practises) will work similarly in Zeen.

Buddypress and MyCred make a great pair for creating a great community site.
Is MyCred plugin integrated with Zeen too like Buddypress? If not, are you going to go in that direction?

Yes, the theme is compatible with BuddyPress and has Theme options section for BuddyPress too. However, I’m afraid that the theme has never been tested with MyCred. If you run it on TwentyTwenty theme too, does everything you want from it work as expected? Because if so, it would be the same in Zeen. Style-wise it would likely be very similar to what you see there too. Buttons/general items might automatically inherit Zeen’s style (if the plugin’s code allows for that) but other than that, there is no specific code in Zeen targeting that particular plugin.

Hello. Curious if there is a solution to closing post SVG image lightboxes?
We have several posts that use SVGs (in post not featured image), and when clicked on, the lightbox expands 100% width and height, with no option to close the image or click on the screen to go back to the post.
Perhaps simple CSS to force container height/width? I coulnt find it. Help appreciated.

I was refering to individual posts – within the content, I have several images that are SVGs. When the image is clicked on, the lightbox opens that SVG image to 100% height/width and there is no option to close the lightbox (like an X in the corner).

Basically was on PHP 7.2 and my hosing support told me they had to change it to 7.3 otherwise the whole website suddently went down.

V4.0.2 patches this all up. The issue was due to code being used that is not compatible with old PHP versions.
The theme is compatible with all the latest PHP versions, including PHP 8. It’s really recommended to use a modern PHP (at least 7.3), as you’ll get a good performance boost overall.
V4.0.2 will be out in a few hours and has fallback code so it works on older PHP versions too, but I’d really recommend looking at upgrading your PHP version.
