I’m interested in buying this theme. I notice that when using the shapes (tested with firefox, chrome and safari) on the portfolio page the portfolio items flicker their full box before the shapes take effect on the page. This sort of takes away from the magic. Is there a fix that prevents this flickering when the page loads?

Maybe this can be managed with some Extra JavaScript, but I haven’t noticed this issue (nor anyone else made remarks about that), so we never thought about adding such a workaround.

You have to upload these new images to bigbangwp/images/icons/ and new filenames will appear in drop down list…
Ok the portfolio is Wp PERFECT compatible, WOW !!! ;)))) When i look the website and I open the portfolio page, even it has another Name ( for example Courses) , the URL indicate XXX .com/PORTFOLIO/name of the page.
Could i change the PORTFOLIO name with another one? Thanks

hmm it works with pages but it doesnt work with portfolio elements, when i change the word, all the portfolio items in homepage links to wrong blank pages)
you have to update permalink settings…

and with all the pages it works, but portfolio link me to blank blog page.

Go to Settings – Permalinks and choose some other setting, update and choose original setting…

Is there a way that we can embed a youtube video into a Portfolio page via the Video URL field, and have it start playing automatically on page load? We tried adding &autoplay=1 in the url, but it didn’t seem to work.

I think this is something what prettyPhoto script do.
You have to edit javascript/prettyPhoto.js (manually because you can’t edit it through WP dashboard)
Near the end of the file is autoplay parameter which you have to change to true.
I put a website together for a client using this theme and, to no surprise, they want there logo at the top to be displayed at a larger size. What is the recommended size for the logo and do you have custom script that I can utilize to accomodate a larger size? Thanks.

You can’t do that out of box. Advanced Extra JavaScript code is necessary and it’s beyond our support.

Last question… My portfolio images are squashed when I open any one of the portfolios, I think it may be because the social icons are on the right side of the image? I How do I disable them showing in portfolio but remain in the blog? I’ve deselected the social icon in the portfolio but it keeps defaulting to appear?

On portfolio posts you have to insert images to Extra images (on the right hand side, below the featured image). Remove all of your images from editor and leave only some description text there.
Absolutely loving this theme. I have (hopefully) one last question. Is there a suggested size for images in Settings > Media? I want to ensure that I keep the same size and/or ratio found in the demo content.
This is responsive template, so there is no just one (suggested) size for images. You have to prepare your images (resize, crop…) on your computer before uploading them to Media library.

Create portfolio items and assign them to filter subcats. Each portfolio item must have featured image (thumb which will be shown on portfolio page) and Extra Images (slides on portfolio single page)
Go to new page and add portfolio shortcode where parent category will be selected.

}
17px is top/bottom padding, 15px is left/right padding.

these 2 single portfolio pages are the same. packshot page has the WP gallery in it. Just remove gallery from the page content and use only Extra Images (like you already do).
I cannot for the life of me find the bigbangwp.xml file. I just purchased this template and it does not seem to be in any of the folders can you help me out finding it?
