Is there a way to list a grouping of images like in the portfolio http://stonehillblogs.org/test/column-4/items-shaped-as-circle/ except when you click on the image it just opens up a large image without a link to an external page?

Excuse most of the above, figured out some. But the slider/video shortcode is definitely not there and the 1/2 + 1/2 column shortcode is not working. Any ideas?

there is no slider/video shortcode. You’ll have slider on any page/post if you insert Extra Images (below Featured image).
Video is inserted via Brankic Custom Field, or directly in the code (it’s explained in help file)

Just downloaded yesterday and the only page templates that are showing up are blog 1-6 and the 2 contact templates. Also, the 2 column shortcode is not working. Aslo, how do I get the flexslider to work? I’ve uploaded a featured image and a secondary image but they just stack on top of each other.

Hi, i was able to disable one of the two buttons that appear on rollover of the portfolio thumbs (down right). Now i want also to change the icon of the link for another one.
I have find the icon image, my problem is that i want to change it for a bigger one in x size. Can this be made easily direct in the Css files?

Hello, I never received a reply weather you set up my site like the Live Demo. I went to my site and I guess you did. But for some reason the gallery images are not showing in the Home page and in the portfolio page, and none of the bottom widgets are showing at the bottom of the pages. Please help. Thanks.

Your cache plugin is making me so much problems. If I change something in the backend, I can’t see it on Front end because this plugin caches some old version. Also, some of your Yahoo plugins is making a mess so shortcode button doesn’t work.
I’ve disabled these plugins, but problems were still there.
I suggested clean WP install…

Still shortcode button doesn’t work as it should. Maybe this is something with your hosting, or a plugin, really can’t know for sure.

There is no max image size. Images respond to the size of the screen. Of course, there is no need to use images with more than 500KB because of loading time…

portfolio type must have big image on the right. If there is no image(s) you’ll have empty space.
Not sure why do you want to use portfolio layout for that. Is there something you don’t like in “normal” post layout?

Portfolio layout is a shortcode. You have to select category to show in that layout from drop down menu…

Is it possible to change it so a user with the Editor role to change the custom fields for the alternate title? The “Brankic Custom Fields” area is blank for the Editor role.
They want the Editor to be able to set the alternative page title and text next to the page title.

as I remember there is a plugin (called something like “user role manager”) which can alter/change roles for each type of user.
Plugin solution is a much better option for this kind of issue.
If I used a plugin then the client will have to rely on it being maintained.
I had at a look at the code in the “bra_custom_fields.php” file and changed the current user capability requirement from “manage_options” to “edit_others_pages” for the relevant fields. Only users with the Administrator role have the “manage_options” capability, the Editor role has the “edit_others_pages” capability.
This has solved the problem.

Hi, thanks for the great theme. I’m half way through developing a site for a client: http://www.rankfinfraser/wordpress I have a couple of issues I can’t seem to find a solution for: 1. There is in extra ‘custom-divider’ above my title on homepage I’d like to remove. 2. How to get the social buttons onto posts and projects (Sharing is not in the wordpress menu).

custom divider issue is fixed in the update which is approved few hours ago.
There is and option in Brankic Panel -> Blog for showing sharing buttons.
There are a tones of plugins for adding sharing options if you don’t like our share solution

I tried to update to 1.7 by uploading and overwriting the unpacked folder via ftp into wp-content/themes. I got the “can’t open file” error on all pages. I uploaded 1.6 again and it’s working okay. Just thought you should know.

My wife loves this theme… just purchased for her food blog and she is thrilled. One question (for now anyway), she has been basically dealing with plain WP and so the recipes she has created are all posts… no problem there. The “problem” is this, when I add a Portfolio to one of her pages I’m unable to filter based on her Post categories, even though they display perfectly.
In light of that I’m guessing that she will have to recreate all of her posts as portfolio items, is that the case? Not a huge deal, but it would be great if the filter would work correctly on Posts as well as Portfolio items. It looks like it should work based on the shortcode creator, just doesn’t seem to work…weird.

You (she) will have to create new (parent) category and for each category she now has to make this new category as parent.
After that, insert portfolio shortcode and select this parent category.
Only problem is that with portfolio layout there is no pagination

Everything is working well for me except getting the portfolio items to display.
I want a “portfolio” link on my main page (which I was able to set in the nav section)
When I try to create a new portfolio item and preview it I just get 404 errors or Nothin loads.
Trying to figure out where to inject the portfolio shortcode, but it’s really confusing. Is there anywhere that explains how to set up a portfolio much like the demo?

It’s explained in the help file.
Create portfolio category and subcategories (which acts as filters). Add portfolio items and assign these to subcats. Go to new page and insert portfolio shortcode (from drop down menu select portfolio category)

You can add some Extra CSS to center these sections.
Below the slider you can add whatever you want (all types of portfolio, blog, columns…)
