Please make sure that you’re running the latest version of the Bifrost theme and Neuron Core plugin.

Hello, When PHP is set to 8, an error occurs in “class-merlin-logger.php” on line 194, and customization cannot be saved. If the PHP to 7, you can save customized.

Thanks for your comment. Now, when I switch to PHP8, I get an error and I can’t save the customization, so I’m switching back to PHP7. i’m not hurry. I think this is a common problem for theme users. Other users should improve when needed.

I tested it after optimizing the database with PHP8, but I couldn’t save the customization with an error in “neuron-core-bifrost”.

This seems to be an issue with the ACF Repeater Field plugin, so please make sure that you’ve updated the plugin to the latest version, after you update it you can switch to PHP 8 without a problem.

The Elementor Pro version is not required by the theme, so you don’t have to purchase it because you can edit your portfolio also with the free version of the Elementor.
As our Bifrost theme has 3 different portfolio layouts ( Vertical Portfolio, Side Portfolio, and Elementor Portfolio ) that can be chosen at Portfolio Item Settings > Type, to edit your portfolio item with Elementor you have to set it to Elementor Portfolio.

First of all I love the look of this theme. But I have a few questions before buying.
Regarding:
Metro portfolio – Is it possible to get different image sizes instead of just squares? For example get one long horizontal/vertical image in there instead of two squared images? (but not like masonry where the images are unevenly distributed)
Portfolio item – Is it possible to fully edit an portfolio item page with Elementor? For example: Images, animations, texts, layouts etc etc. Or do you need to do that with the Wordpress ‘page builder’ (dashboard)?
Header – Is it possible to have a translating option in the header next to the hamburger menu? For example the capital letters EN (for English) and NL (for Dutch) next to each other?
Header – Is it possible to update the hamburger menu? it looks cool, but when you click on it, the cross icon appears much smaller than the hamburger icon, causing a displacement that looks a little strange.
General – Is it possible customize the demos with Elementor and add and substract different subjects from different demos? For example: The header from one demo, the hero from another, the portfolio layout from another, the item layout from another etc etc. And after combining these elements, are they easily editable with Elementor?
**I would like to add that I have the free version of Elementor, not the Pro version.

1) Yes, you can do that you can upload your images and use the Metro layout, in the Metro layout you have the option to select the space that you want to cover the image.
2) In the theme, there are three types of portfolio items: Side Portfolio, Vertical Portfolio, and Elementor Portfolio, so if you set the layout of the portfolio to Elementor, you can freely edit it with Elementor.
3) You can add them as buttons and then link them with the translated page of the site.
4) We can take a look at it and fix it for your website.
5) Yes, of course, you can import the Main Demo in which are included all the demos and templates and then you can experiment with them, also you don’t have to purchase the Elementor Pro version, our theme is made with Elementor free version.

Besides that I was wondering if it is possible to change the transition animations in the hero and add HD videos to it in a clean way. For example when I add videos from youtube to my website now, it shows the title in the beginning (which is not good) and is not always good quality.

So, in the theme, you can either use the header that comes as default where you can upload the logo from Customizer and manage it from there, or via Elementor where you can create headers and assign them to different pages.

Thanks! now I get that it’s included in the theme and I don’t need a PRO subscription myself. But it is still an Elementor PRO feature. I’m just curious how that works. Do you (neuronthemes) have an Elementor PRO license, with which you build themes and offer some of the PRO features to your clients that don’t have PRO? It seems almost to good to be true, because for Elementor PRO I need an annually billed subscription, and this theme is just a one time payment for life if I presume correctly..

No, we don’t have the Elementor Pro license included in the Bifrost theme, the header builder was created via the Neuron Core plugin, so it’s a free feature that was created by our side. We create our own elements that can be used on Elementor free version, so there’s no need at all to purchase the Pro version of the Elementor plugin.

Besides that, I was also wondering if you have a hotspot feature? Where you can add hotspots to an image to click on and see a description.

Is there any possibility to add more than one photo in bulk in portfolio image sliders? because it’s really annoying if you want to add for example 30 or 40 photos and every time you have to add new item ant then select new image from the gallery. But all images shows up on the same slider.

There are three types of portfolios in our Bifrost theme: Side Portfolio, Vertical Portfolio, and the Elementor Portfolio, unfortunately on the Side and Vertical Portfolios you can’t add a video to the gallery, but if you create a portfolio with Elementor you can edit it fully with Elementor and add there any element you want for example image, video, gallery, text, etc…
