Can we filter jobs by regions?

Yes you can

The menu login/register options and login page (without woocommerce) are not working. I have created a static page “Account” using the “Page Login Template” template. The WorkScout Core registration option is set to “Seperate Page”. When the “Account” page is viewed it displays a login button which doesn’t work and a visible shortcode [workscout_old_login_form]. Please can you advise why this is no longer working in WorkScout 2.x

Use “Dashboard Page” template instead of “Page Login Template”

Working now though there are quite a few shortcodes that are not documented e.g. [workscout_my_account] for Profile. May be a good idea to add to the online documentation. Thank You.

Submitting a job. how can I change the Location option that displays “e.g. London”

I have done that..the london is still there

Please contact me via Support Tab with access to your site

Hi. I hope to add custom fields on joblistings/resemes and custom filters that uses ‘those’ fields that I made. Is it possible just get “Search and Filtering for WP Job Manager”? Or do I need additional plugin?

Hi

I think Search and Filtering for WP Job Manager and WP Job Manager Field Editor but check it with author of those plugins

I think you’re right. Thsnks.

How do I work on this error anytime I try to work on the site layout or using some plugins?

“Proudly powered by LiteSpeed Web Server Please be advised that LiteSpeed Technologies Inc. is not a web hosting company and, as such, has no control over content found on this site.”

Hi

But what error?

403 Forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied!

[jobs] shortcode stopped working on our site. Any idea why?

Are you on latest update?

Yes

1) I am trying to add the job applications link to the candidate dashboard menu

From your template-dashboard.php I can see:

< a href=”<?php echo esc_url(get_permalink($applications_page)); ?>”> <?php esc_html_e(‘My Applications’,’workscout’);?>

a >

This is the page i want to add but but there is no $applications_page added within your theme.

How do I set this up?

I have checked the job applications settings but there is no where to choose a page.

2)

Also how can we disable Resume region? or make it as not required. Because the user cant save resume until this field is added but we cant add every single region from the UK manually to the resume_region taxonomy, that’s impossible

Hi

ad1. This page has to be set in WorkScout Core -> Pages -> Past Applications page

ad2. Check in Resumes settings, but I’m not sure if that can be turned off there, this is functionality added by https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-locations/

I have added Past Applications page and given it dashboard template but it is empty. Do i need to add a shortcode to the page???

Also how do we remove “Your Resume Packages” box on the dashboard ? it is not used

Yes, the shortcode is [past_applications]

Hello, I’m using the WC Paid Listings plugin. I want to change the words “Resumes are posted for __ days” that appear on the packages in the frontend to something else. Where can I do this? Which file should I edit?

Also, is there another way of implementing subscriptions without using the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin? It’s just way too expensive.

Hi

please contact us via Support Tab about that https://themeforest.net/item/workscout-job-board-wordpress-theme/13591801/support

There’s no other option, WC Paid Listings add-on is compatible only with WooCommerce Subscriptions

On Homepage #7

How do we change “Find Job” heading and the clipart.svg background image as well as the green background colour of the top header search box?

at the moment it is pointing to your server (https://workscout.staging.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/clipart.svg

and there is no way to change it!

There’s option in Listeo Core

This is workscout theme, I cant see any Listeo Core settings? Do you have page URL?

Sorry, WorkScout Core -> Registration -> Login/Registration Form Type – Ajax popup

can we change the title – eg job and candiddate – with some thing else?

Hello! A very beautiful theme and a lot of cool functionality! I want to ask a few questions: Is it possible to make a unique title and h1 tag for each job search page by profession. For example, if a user is looking for an open vacancy for a programmer in New York, then on the search results page there will be a heading h1 – “Working as a programmer in New York” and a similar title. This is necessary for high-quality SEO optimization. It would also be ideal if pages with frendly url, domain.com/jobs/programmer/new-york and the like were saved in the sitemap.xml. Is it possible with your theme to do this out of the box? Or do you need a programmer’s work? Is it possible to use the demo mode of the admin panel? I would be glad to receive a detailed answer, thanks!

Hi

we don’t have such functionality, it would require custom modification but we don’t provide such services. We also don’t have admin demo access

hello

few questions please:

1. is there a way to add images or attachment to the new post a job form? will this plugin work: https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-field-editor/ and if I add image field with this plugin how can I make it to show in the post and in the listing, or it will be automatically populated?

2. is there an option to add image to messages (or attachment)?

3. Is it possible to merge employee and candidate role? I only need one user role that can post jobs and apply as well. I don’t need two user roles. more like freelancer to freelancer job board.

Thank you

Hi

ad1. This plugin will work but there’s no “gallery” option in single job view so that would be added

ad2. No

ad3. Yes, it could be done

1. This will be done by copy single job view template file to child theme and editing it?

2. Is this something I can hire you to do?

3. Can it be done without code?

Thank you

ad1. If you want to add gallery to job template then yes, the recommended way is to have this file in your child theme

ad2. We don’t offer customization services

ad3. No, but it’s simple one line change

Hi I can’t see mobile menu in mobile version of theme. Is there any settings?

No, that should be displayed by default, can you share link to your site?

Having
.right-side {
    display: none!important;
}
in your child theme style.css doesn’t help ;) that code hides the whole part of header that has that button

Hi! I’ve faced a problem with “job categories grid” on the front page. It doesn’t work as it is shown on your demo site. Could you helm me? 1) When I choose “Yes” for “Browse Catagories” Button – it is still not displayed on my front page as it is shown on you demo site. 2) When I choose “Show job counter” – Disabled. Counter is still shown on categories. What to do? My website is https://mobitalents.com/

Yes, I’ve done it

Thank you! :-)

Hi! Could you remind please where I can manage and edit menu at “My Account Page”?

wp-content/themes/workscout/template-dashboard.php

Hi there!

I see your theme allows employers to view all the candidates and their information that applied to one of the jobs that they posted.

However, is it possible for an employer to view a database of all candidates that has registered on the site? Or is there perhaps a plugin that will allow this?

Hi, isn’t “resumes” funtionality what you are looking for? https://workscout.in/resumes/

Oh wow awesome! Thanks so much that is what I’m looking for. Don’t know how I missed it.

Hi team, I am trying to improve the speed of the site. I would like to get rid of WPBakery Page Builder. Would it be possible for you to make a home page only with wordpress blocks? Is there any shortcode just for the job search bar? I would like to, for example, add a first block with a background and then add a shortcode block with the search bar. Then a new block with the job offers. Is it currently possible to achieve this with the theme? I try to do it on a local wordpress installation but it doesn’t work.

Hi

It’s not possible, at least not without some modifications. Theoretically all WorkScout’s WPBakery elements are available as shortcodes (check /plugins/workscout-core/includes/class-workscout-core-shortcodes.php and /plugins/workscout-core/shortcodes).

The job search banner is not added by WPBakery, but it’s built in page template “Page with Jobs Search”, but there’s no easy way to get rid of the WPBakery and have the same content/layout options.

hi, There is a problem with the password recovery function & he theme & workscout plugin. At the very last step of password recovery when you submit the new password , the submission will fail giving an 503/unknown error. If you test this on your demo site, you’ll see the same error. This function works fine on our base WP theme.

thanks, I’ve sent a follow up email, would you be able to have a look?

I understand there is a problem with Wpengine hosting. Would you be able to share more details so we can bring them up with Wpengine At the moment, we only know that this theme doesn’t fully work with Wpengine but without the details, we can’t really contact Wpengine to look further into this?

Hello, when I have jobs pulled in through GoFetchJobs, it proceeds to populate the map, but all of the text within a pin on the map reads “undefined”

Please contact us via Support Tab with link to your site, I’ll check it
