Good Day, I just purchased and installed the theme, but it came blank, I thought i was going to have it installed like its showing on the preview and all i just need to do is Replace and customize. there are no pages or menu created by default, kindly assist

After I installed the latest theme update, the Topbar right content is not working properly. Here is the domain name https://www.firstunitedchurchojca.org/
I’m referring to the Version 3.8. Also, sometime the entire main menu area just malfunction. For example, you can click on event page and it does not take you to that page – the url is correct however the page display is wrong.

If any of your link in the menu is redirecting to wrong page then try clearing the permalink cache by visiting your WP Dashboard => Settings => Permalinks page.

I believe it has to do with something permalink custom structure that comes preset with template. I spend several hours with my hosting provider and we could not find any issues on the sever-side. After the version 3.8 update none of the permalink setting works other than “plain.” The site works fine with the Permalink Settings are change to “plain”, however, when it is set to “custom structure” that when the issue discussed earlier exists.
So instead of https://www.firstunitedchurchojca.org/events the page url would be https://www.firstunitedchurchojca.org/?page_id=2074 and that’s not what there prior to the update.
I don’t have an issue paying for additional support because I’ve purchase it before. My only concern is that when there is an issue directly with the template itself, do I still need to pay for support to get it resolved?

Thanks for your comment. If this has been a general issue with all the other users of the theme then we would have fixed it already. I can see the pretty permalinks works for me and no other users reported the same as of now since this version’s release.
I am not asking you first hand to renew your support but to get a website checked by the support team you must open a ticket. If you would like to get this checked by my development team then please send an email to envato[at]imithemes.com If they find any issue with the theme then it will be fixed in the next update of theme soon.

Our home page is slow to load and we cannot figure out why. It just sits there for while before loading all at once. We optimized our images and also switched to a faster host (Siteground). All the other pages are lightning fast but the home page still gets hung up. When it finally does load, its fast….but it just sits there for a while beforehand. We are using the slider revolution header with 3 banner images and no other images on the home page. I think last I checked, each image was around 300kb in size.

Correct account now.. So I have some issues with the Sermons built in template. I’m wanting to only include video of sermons, not PDF or audio and yet a PDF icon still appears next to each sermon post, alongside the vid icon. I have nothing entered (url or upload) for a PDF. How can I get rid of it. Also The button for each posted sermon reads “continue reading”. I would like to change that text since it’s only videos. Can you please advise?

What’s is the difference between event and eventer, sermon and isermon. I think the theme is built with event plugin and that’s the default, can it be change to eventer ?

Events and Sermons manager comes built in the theme itself with which all the demos have been using. In the recent update we included our Eventer and iSermons plugins in the theme as well. This is for the users who want to use them after switching off the built in functions from Theme Options => Event and Theme Options => Sermons. You may use the new plugins but keep a note that you need to use these plugin’s shortcodes where you want to list your events and sermons since the built in functions won’t work.

What I meant was, are there any plans to enable other users create and submit their own user-generated content? Example; Can another preacher create account on the site and submit their own sermons/videos/audios?

what is the “Core Plugin”? Is this something I can test before purchasing?
I’ve had other themes’ “core plugins” cause catastrophic issues, and I don’t want to purchase a theme that won’t work for me.
As per the new Envato WP theme guidelines anything that doesn’t come under theme directory territory needs to be added outside in a plugin. NativeChurch core plugin includes custom post types, theme options framework, demo importer, podcasting files etc. Unfortunately there is no user test website available. Thanks

Hello guys. I switched Next Event for Last Sermon in the notice bar but now the audio player has other style: gray color, rounded sides, thicker… Its not aligned and I dont like it. What happened? It used to be thin, longer and black like in sermons pages AND the one in the Home Version 1 Alt in your Demo´s page

Thanks for the reply. I discovered that the responsible is the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin but if I deactivate it the whole site schema breaks. Any suggestion?

I want to purchase this template but on the demo page in mobile view the more coming events and the recent sermons are displaced side by side and the date on more coming events are not displace well. Also the blog post only display in half of the screen. why does it display so.

Hi, Bought two days ago. Was wondering how to work on the footer since OUR CHURCH ON TWITTER at the footer seems to be un-editable. Moreso, can I swap that twitter for another social feeds?
Secondly, If I increase the height of the landing page image in the Slider would it have any debilitating impact?

You can manage footer content from Appearance => Widgets => Footer Sidebar. Theme comes with built in Twitter Feed widget but for other social media channels you can use any third party plugin.
