How do you control the blog excerpt length on the blog page? I’d like to increase length of number of words displayed in the excerpt, thanks!

ahh I found it, you mean in the settings of the blog module on a page, where you can use the pagebuilder. I was talking about the default wordpress blog feed page to see if you can increase the length of an excerpt
Oh, that can be changed in the index.php file(in the theme folder) at line 20:
global $gdlr_excerpt_length; $gdlr_excerpt_length = 55;
This file can also be edited in a child theme.
Our portfolio filter “All” button quit working with the latest update. The portfolio categories are working, but the “All” filter button is missing, it just looks like an empty button. We are running the latest version of the them and of Wordpress.

We haven’t come across this issue with our other users.
Could you try this after disabling your other plugins and see if it helps? If that resolves the issue, you can reactivate them one-by-one and see which one is causing the trouble.

Figured it out! I had manually selected all portfolio categories, but the fine print said if you wanted to select “all” then you actually need to deselect them all. Once I deselected them (command-click) the “All” button reappeared. Thanks!
When I click on the gear icon to edit a page nothing happens. Everything is updated and cache has been cleared.

This is disabled because of lack of space on smaller screens. You can enable it by adding this css in Theme Options Panel > General > Page Style > Additional Style:

Has anyone else had a problem with the Global Gallery and upgrading to the newest version of WordPress 5.5. I am running Flawless 1.7. The lightbox feature doesn’t work with this WordPress version. I had to revert back to WP 5.4.2 for it to work. Has been an issue on several of my clients website where we use the Flawless theme. Any Suggestions?? Thanks.

Out of nowhere, my Portfolio section just stopped working on the homepage. The portfolio posts are still there, but the homepage section just will not show up. I’ve updated the theme, everything else works fine. Do you know what could have happened?

When editing a page, it stays on even if short title is turned off among the page options. WordPress 5.5.3 and php 7.3, but all pages are in the same state. How do I do it?
After you updated the theme and still have issues, please make sure to follow this.
1. Make sure that you clear browser cache or test with another browser and see if the problem fixed or not.
2. Try to deactivate other plugins (except GoodLayers plugins). See if it’s fixed or not.
3. Go to theme options and click on ‘Save Changes’ button.

Running the latest Flawless update. Then updated to the most recent WP 5.3.2 and none of the text or design/color settings from the theme options are working now. I’ve tried turning off all the plugins and the issue still persists. Is this a theme issue? If so, do you have a patch for this? It’s a major concern for our client’s business right now! Thank you.

You can add any html/shortcode in the Theme Options Panel > Overall Elements > Top bar > Top bar right text option.
There’s no option to add content to the left side though, you will have to edit that directly in the header.php file (in the theme folder) at line #52.

Recently updated site to WordPress 5. I downloaded the Flawless theme files and replaced those on the server with the new version. It is now showing Flawless Version 1.6 now. I deactivated, deleted and reinstalled and activated the Goodlayers plugins (still showing them as version 1.0), but the site pages are still not working correctly. Won’t let me edit the Content Modules (Content/Post Type Item). It seems to be working with the Title, Personnel, etc. Modules (Content/Post Type Item), just not then Content modules. Please advise.
Hi, This may happen if you have disabled the ‘visual editor’ in the wp-admin > users > your profile page.
If that’s not the case, then could you try this after disabling your other plugins and see if it helps? If it does, you can activate them one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

The same thing is happening to me with the white text as documented 10 months ago by “smartwebcanada: Hello, Text module not working…” (see previous comments above).
I have white text suddenly, and am unable to toggle between tabs, open/close page builder items, or save pages.
The theme, plugin, and Wordpress are all using the latest versions. I also sent info to the support email. Thanks!
