Hi there… first off, fantastic theme!! I am wondering if I can use banner blocks for sub-category images? I like how the image zooms when rolled over. I have added banner blocks for the main categories but for subcategories I cannot seem to find where to do this. Hopefully you understand what I mean. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for your support! One more question… How do I change the category image dimensions that displays at the top of the selected category page? At present it displays like a banner, but would like to make it almost twice as high as it is currently.

Because it crops the image and misses most of what I want to display.

Options for that are in Journal > Skins > Edit > Image Dimensions > Category…

Hello Journal Theme Supporter. I am big fan of journal theme. very awesome Theme. I suggest all my client to journal theme to my first choice.

One of my client was purchased themes

They have 2 issues on the website :

1:) When hovering any dropdown on the home page like menu, search, account, language, and cart area in the header section.

after moving the cursor from their content dropdown shown as it is. don’t hide or disable the website.

I’m getting spam from everywhere, can there be such a theme? spam subscription spam messages how do we stop this? no extensions offer spam support to your theme opencart excludes your theme and does not recommend it, how do you plan to solve this spam problem? default opencart reCAPTCHA work register form?

Hi, please make sure you have the latest Journal version (v.3.1.8) installed and you shouldn’t have spam anymore. For additional spam protection, you can always enable captcha mechanisms in Opencart which apply to Journal Newsletter and Journal Contact Form modules too.

Hi, in the slider Image Dimensions options you have different tabs per device, you can input smaller dimensions in the phone tab.

in checkout, our payment gateway is not working. when switching to opencart checkout, it works. most of our customers drop at checkout page with out completing the order.

I found a bug. I don’t have support right now but I just wanted to tell you about it. When a product is disabled, it still shows up in featured products module.

Hi, if the end-product is different store (different catalog, products, etc) then yes you need one regular license for every domain/store as that only covers a single “end-product”.

I had disabled “add to cart” button for product with “0 price” and I have configured an “extra button” for “call for price” purposes. On desktop everything is OK, but on mobile the “extra button” for “call for price” does not show up. I’ve triple checked if there is any option uncheched for mobile view but there isn’t. Below is the excerpt from theme documentation: The Extra Button module is available for the product page and product listing (grid/list views). Up to two buttons may be activated at the same time.

Link button acts as a normal button which can point to any link. This includes opening Popups, such as one with a contact form in it which can be used for enquiries, or any other popups with any content.

This works OK on desktop but not on mobile.

Also Journal 3.2 is compatible with Journal 3 ? I mean can we upgrade 3 to 3.2, or fresh installation is required.

Hi, it’s better to update Opencart to the latest version first and then Journal. To update Opencart, change template to default Opencart template, update Opencart and make sure everything works fine when using the default Opencart theme first and then enable Journal and update it to the latest version. As for v.3.2, yes, you can update v.3.1.8 to v.3.2 just like any other update, but some third party extensions may not work after, as explained here: https://www.journal-theme.com/beta-v32/

Is there an option in the theme to change the product picture when clicking on the color of the product on product page? e.g. when if i click red color then product picture become change to red dress, if i click to yellow then product change to yellow dress.

Hi, styling options for that element come in our next major update, Journal 3.2.

Currently it’s inheriting the color from the font in that menu item style.
