Hello,

I’m using the Dorian theme with a valid ThemeForest license.

My site currently runs WPBakery 7.8, which I previously updated from your Google Drive / Dropbox bundled packages. In the latest Dorian package on ThemeForest I can see that WPBakery is still 7.5, while the current WPBakery version is already 8.7.2.

Unfortunately I can no longer find the shared Google Drive link you used to provide for bundled WPBakery updates.

Could you please send me the current link or the latest bundled WPBakery package for Dorian?

I’ve just bought and installed this theme, then completed the installation of the Demo data (selecting “All” when doing so). It completed successfully, however there seems to be an issue with the Slider which simply loop loads and never appears. https://mediaspeak.tv/business-home/

I’ve restarted everything now, flattened the hosting, enabled HTTPS before installing Wordpress and the Dorian theme. Installing the Demo content (via Import) is taking ages, is there another way to bulk download this locally to install it?

Ok demo data has now installed but the same issue exists, so is this theme not designed efficiently for https configuration? I don’t really want to use a HTTPS rewriter, can’t you update the theme to properly support SSL with relative URLs?

How do we update Slider revolution and WP Bakery on the Dorian theme?

It’s ok i was able to do it from WP updates page. Would not allow me to do it via the main plugins page.

Once you update the theme all of the bundled plugins with available updates should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins.

Bundled plugins do get updated with the theme, however, you should know that in case you need latest version of any bundled plugin you can submit a ticket at our Help Center or contact us through this email (just add your purchase code in the mail) and our support agents will provide you with latest version.

The option to enable autoplay on Testimonials, unfortunately, doesn’t exist within the theme, however, you can set the animation speed here.

Firstly I love your themes and have purchased at least five over the past few years and have not had any issues with any until now with Dorian.

Can you please let me know when you will update Dorian theme so it works with PHP 7.3 or 7.4. Also to run on current Wordpress 5.8. It hasn’t been updated since December 2020.

PHP 7.2 will soon be obsolete, Wordpress states “WordPress has detected that your site is running on an insecure version of PHP.”

Siteground my host stops are depreciating 7.2 this autumn, so the site will no longer work without an update. They recently changed the PHP to 7.4 and it breaks the site, as does 7.3. (I’ve turned off all plugins apart from the theme recommended plugins and it still breaks)

As you have over 800 sales it would be advisable to do this at the soonest opportunity.

Can you please let me know if and when you are planning on addressing this.

Please note that our developers are constantly working on updates for all our themes.

At the moment we don’t have any ETA when the new update will come out but we hope it will be released soon and you will for sure be notified once a theme update is out.

We tested our theme with PHP 7.4 and it works fine on your side. As for the new version of WordPress you can try to use it and if you are having some issues you can try using Classic Widgets plugin as a temporary solution until we released theme update.

There is no option to display the category filter for the products. You could try finding a plugin for this, but we can’t guarantee it will work. We haven’t tested Gumroad, but you can try it yourself, although we can’t guarantee it will work.

We have this theme installed for a client and we have encountered the same type of issues that others are reporting regarding the portfolio, and the https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ is not resolving the issues.

The issues we are experiencing:

1. The functions of ‘multiple upload’ section are not working

2. We have Yoast ‘Duplicate Post’ installed and assigned to the portfolio. This used to work fine, and it still works on regular posts/pages, but with the portfolio it just spins for several minutes and then generates a 404 page.

We have…

- updated WordPress to the latest version - updated the Dorian Theme - updated Yoast plugins

So all of the related items are up-to-date.

Again, we did install and try to fix with: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ but it does not resolve the issues.

Please let us know what to do going forward.

Good day I need to replace the icons in the “Edge Showcase Items” (the circle on the home page with icons all around and info in the middle when one rolls over the icon). I experience a problem with the Edge Portfolio Image (multiple upload) function. the “upload” and “remove all” buttons are not working anymore.

Any news when this theme will get an update to support the latest PhP, WordPress and Woocommerce versions? The last theme version is more then a year old now…

Please note that due to safety measures related to COVID-19 the updating of our themes is a bit delayed but please note that we are working really hard on this and that we are constantly working on updating all our themes, however, we can say that the theme is compatible with the latest version of WordPress and PHP as well as it is compatible with the latest WooCommerce as well. You will get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme as well as it will be added in the theme’s changelog once the update is out. At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out.  You will for sure be notified when the theme update is out. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I found one problem though, this might be not related to the woocommerce version, not sure: If I create a “variable product” in woocommerce (as described here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/ ) with different sizes (imported from attributes), it looks all fine in the backend. The product page has an empty dropdown list though. I can type the size I want (e.g. child, adult,...), but they do not get listed, which makes it useless for clients which do not know the exact term. Is this an issue of the theme, variable products not supported, or am I doing something wrong?

it’s been 4 months your team said they were aware of the issue I and others have presented to them and would be working on a fix in an update…it is still NOT fixed my site has been unusable for 4 months now nobody can shop on my site because the drop down for product variations doesnt work.I removed all of my products from being public waiting for a fix. I have been more than patient and understanding at this point. The fix I found on my own actually breaks other areas of the site and makes navigation unusable so its not really a fix at all. I think at this point you’re losing a customer I cannot trust that your themes will continue to work for me or my clients or that you will even fix issues that arise. I cant offer to extend my support license if in 4 months issues that are critical still arent addressed. Also the support in the past has taken days just to get access to the separate platform where you get support on and then more days for an actual response to my concern. its just really poor customer service.

I’ve tested it on my local and the issue has been reported to our developers, and we expect the fix to be implemented in one of the upcoming theme updates.

I replied explaining I found where the issue was and that disabling that file (mentioned in my above comment) fixed it but caused another issue with navigation not working so i couldnt keep it that way. I was told my only other options were to downgrade my woocommerce, which I did & it changed nothing. The issue was the theme itself. I had to remove my products so people could not shop and they have been that way since march. As of this date no update or fix has been given and your support doesnt offer any solid help only to disable things or roll things back. None of which fix the issue.
