Hello, I am experiencing a problem with the theme and elementor. I have never used elementor before using this theme. Elementor is listed as required when importing a demo, so I migrated to elementor. Though, when I create a new page using elementor the widgets do now display. They are showing underneath the header and can not be viewed on the page. Even when I try to add a spacer to push the content down more, it has no effect and the widgets still are hidden underneath the header.
Hi eVersatile, thanks for your purchase! You can only use Elementor to edit pages created with Elementor (like the landing page) or create new pages. This is because, for example, BuddyPress pages cannot be customized by Elementor (BuddyPress doesn’t allow this, not the theme), if you need to customize something you’ll need to do it via code (pages like profile, newsfeed, members, etc).

The problem is not with already made pages. When I create a new page the content does not show. It is hidden under the header.

You can either:
1) If you don’t need the header and footer, choose the “Elementor Canvas” template under the settings (gear icon) -> “Page Layout” option when editing the page with Elementor.
2) If you need the header and footer, since the header is floating above the content in order to scroll with the page, you can add a “Spacer” Elementor element (you can find it under the “Basic” section) and set its height so that it is the same as the header height so that the content at the top of the page is not hidden.

I had mentioned in my first post that I tried the spacer, and it has no effect. As if the spacer isn’t working at all. I just tried it as canvas and it works, but I need the header… So that would not be good enough.

In the blog archive, in the navigated 2nd page or so, when I open a post and press back button of the browser to return to the archive, it is the first page of the archive. I want it return to where I was. If I was at 3rd page of the archive and opened a post, I want it take me back to 3rd page of the archive, but it always force me to return to 1st page of the archive.
Can I change this?

Hi,
Regarding BuddyPress activity, there are activities from posts and other custom post types. They appears in backend (Dashboard>Activity), but not all of them appear in frontend (https://mydomain/activity).
Why is there a difference in frontend and backend? Is it possible to arrange the appearance?

You get notifications for replies on your forum topics or comments on your status updates, among others. - Shop is powered by WooCommerce, it doesn’t have that feature - Yes, you can edit them, but when “locked” they are always coins. If you want, you can edit the badges completely (names and images) - Yes, it comes with a demo importer, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXEgduXEupk everything you see in the live demo is included - You can select to not use forums, just please keep in mind that due to Envato’s support rules, we can’t help with installations/customizations.

They are shown like that because the quests aren’t unlocked yet (the icon means locked or “open” quest)! Once people earn them, they will be shown the colored token, this way people are encouraged to finish the quests to “unlock” the tokens!. What you see in the live preview is an example of some of the tokens locked.

Besides the landing page, when one publishes a blog, where does it show up? 2. Can a member can upload article independently without the admins help? No dependency in typing, uploading video & pics and publishing article.

Hi, the landing page doesn’t have a blog section, you’ll need to customize the theme if you wanna add this, just please be aware that due to Envato’s Support Policy, https://themeforest.net/item_support/what_is_item_support/28612259?url_name=vikinger-buddypress-and-gamipress-social-community the support team can’t help with customizations.. Posts show is the blog section. The WordPress blog feature works from the backend and they have an already really powerful editor with lots of blocks and features (and constantly getting updates).
If you don’t want to grant access to the complete backend features to someone, remember that you also have the option to give users the role of “Editor”, “Author”, or “Contributor” https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/ which allows them to write blog posts from the backend but “locks” some of the other features. As for roles, the theme doesn’t have that integration.

This is a magnificent Theme. I see a few shortcomings and because of that I wont be able to use it. One of which is the front end post submissions. I read just 4 other reviews whom two of asked exactly the same question. Your answer on both was disappointing. You are foolish not to invest some effort to listening to the people who actually buy your theme. They after all, are the people who you are doing this for. Your obvious disinterest of doing the suggestion is very disappointing and shows not business sense.
Thanks samfourie, but if you read the reviews like you said, you’ll also see that lots of the reviews mention how we implemented other suggestions that were requested by other buyers, like light/dark switch, color presets, verified members, avatar types, ads integration, hooks and more (if you see the changelog, you’ll see almost a year of updates), so we do not take kindly you calling us foolish as we listen and implement. You’d realize that we can’t possibly add everything that all buyers ask for because the list will be endless and we have to consider what’s best for the theme in the long run. If you’re looking for frontend post, then we don’t recommend this theme.

I don’t have support anymore, and to renew it, at 50 dollars, and to have an answer that can be long, or even that doesn’t solve the problem before a month, for the moment, I don’t have the means
We consulted with the dev team and they told us that this isn’t even included in support because this is not a feature of the base PMP plugin, the base plugin doesn’t have an option to choose different colors for the bottom of the membership names (the only option is for bbPress, NOT the membership tags), so this falls under customization under Envato’s Support Policy. Also, it seems a little extortionate to bad review the item in order to force us to provide help with something that’s not even included in support.
Hello. I’ve been trying a couple of different plugins for “Link preview” on buddypress, and none seem to be working with vikinger theme. Is the theme going to be compatible with any plugin? Example https://wordpress.org/plugins/activity-link-preview-for-buddypress/, or will it have his own feature for this?

Hello. I started using this theme and I noticed a couple technical/bug issue. When a user registers and logs in, when they go to the forum section it errors to a 404 page. It usually happens for new members and as a test I created a new user and received the same problem but then eventually it seems to fix on its own at a random time. The other thing was I was using the toggle for light/dark theme (using the default) and sometimes it does not toggle back to what I had originally. I actually kept clicking on the toggle repeatedly and then eventually it kicked in and worked. I don’t know if you would have an answer to this but is their a youtube embed option / plugin for newsfeed and the forum section that is supported with this import. Just want to make sure beforehand so I don’t break anything. Thank you!
