I’m having problems with Internet Explorer. The images are showing so zoomed that you’ll just see ‘white’ or something like. All the other browsers are showing everything ok.
http://www.poizandfoodstyle.com/Thank you.
Indeed, IE doesn’t seem to recognize events such as “complete” etc. like other browsers. It also moves loading of images to a new thread (it’s exactly opposite of what all other browsers do). We’re working on fixes to that. We’ll be moving Konzept to better code structure soon (once it’s ready).
I love this theme. But my portfolio images dont? automatically resize on the phone. How can i solve this ?
Can I have your URL , please to check that? Please use our support forum to get quick help. That’s the only place where we are able to effectively track issues like that. Thanks!
Hello again,
After testing the site: www.poizandfoodstyle.com in all browsers, I found a big issue on Internet Explorer (Version 9.0.8112.16421 – last one I think). The images are showing so zoomed that you’ll just see ‘white’ or something like.
Please tell me something about that because the most of people are using Internet Explorer (????unfortunately!) to visit the site.
Thank you.
For some reason I did not get back to you back a few months ago. I think that we fixed this thing 2-3 months ago. Now IE9 and IE10 should have this improved.
Please use support forum to get quicker help and more details
Thanks!
Wonderful, I am in Love with your quick reply habbit
. So will it come with future upgrades i.e.. In case WP gets another version and is it working with 3.4.2? and lastly does this content is easily editable from back-end? does it has a custom dashboard within the dashboard ? Let me know so that i can put this discussion to end
and enjoy my new website
Well, basically answer to your all questions is yes.
And furthermore, we’re re-building Konzept and moving it into new framework right now. It’s going to basically improve mechanics and eliminate any browser inconsistencies.
Hi Flow, lovin the theme! I only have one question/remark; the preloader animation goes to 100% even if none of the the slideshow image have loaded. For now I’m running Konzept locally so everything is loaded directly. But I noticed the preloader being finished before images have loaded when browsing your demo, but also at other people’s websites that have the Konzept theme up and running.
Would it be possible to adjust the loading indicator so that it correctly displays the % of the project / images that have been loaded? Or could Konzept even be altered so that it goes to 100% if, say, the first three slideshow images have been loaded?
Otherwise I think some first time visitors would have difficulties to understand how and know if the slideshow works. Looking forward to your answer, thanks.
Kind regards,
Patrick
Thank you!
It basically shows the progress of AJAX request (true progress – it’s not fake indicator) and if we were to make it show AJAX request + “all images finished loading” then it would take much more time to load (+5-10 or even 20-30 seconds). It was showing both some time ago but in the recent version we changed that because people were complaining that loading times are long.
Indeed loading 10 HD images will take some time. It should be possible to be adjusted but I’m not sure which part of code is responsible for that. It was just 1 single, small place somewhere in core script from what I remember. If you need more advice on that subject you may create support ticket and I can try to look for that place.
Ok. Thanks Flow. I just posted my question as a support ticket.
Even though load times might be longer, I think it’s better to correctly inform visitors, rather then to let them advance to the next slide…when the next slide isn’t loaded yet…while the indicator just indicated the project was fully loaded (a rondom visitor won’t know the load indicator is just for the Ajax request). I understand why you did it, but I’d like the load indicator to indicate for the Ajax + images. Thanks for your quick answer, looking forward to the answer on my support ticket!
Understood but let me quote the comment posted just a few days ago:
Bought theme and love the way it looks, like the functionality of the slideshow and full screen images. The only thing I am not thrilled with is the load time for projects to open up. The home page loads decently, not fast, but fast enough in my book. But when I click on a project, the site spins on the first image and I am afraid people may leave my site and not get a chance to view my work. My question: Is this slow loading b/c its having to load css/java etc…? Is it an image file size problem?
So, you see – you want it this way and other people want it the other way (they can’t afford waiting for 10 1920×1080 images to load). It’s really hard to find best compromise here.
We’re rebuilding the framework to speed it up and I’ll surely make that at least somehow closer to what you’re looking for (so that people won’t see half-loaded images if that’s possible within reasonable time).
I see what you have to deal with. For me, still, I’d very much like (the option of) a progress indicator that shows load time for all slides (perhaps combined with loading the images on the first slide first and then the second slide, and so on; so in the case a user wants to advance a slide, first images show first). I’d try to optimize load times by keeping file size of images as small as possible.
As for optimizations to the theme, have a look at the Touchfolio and/or Royalslider plugin. To me it feels more snappy on iOS devices (iPad 3 / iPhone 4S) than Konzept. Could well be because of the fact both use smaller images and have fewer options. Still might be a good thing to aim for
Still loving the theme and looking forward to updates. Keep up the good work Flow!
before i buy i got a question. Can we get a dummy data to import in Database?
Yes, there is demo XML file included. You will still need to adjust some things like contact form code or widgets but all portfolio projects, posts, pages and menus are inside that XML file.
Hi flow,
konzept theme is really great and useful!
I appreciate also the “coming soon” solution with the dribble plugin, and I would like to exploit this possibility.
The point is that I don’t need to show graphics project by Dribbble, but I’d like to use the same interface to show some press documents .pdf
Is there a way to do this, or could you recommend you a possible solution?
Thank you for your time and very compliments for your job
Thank you so much for your kind words
I’m glad that you like it!
I’m afraid there will be no way to show PDF documents ‘as is’ (as PDF ) but you can always make some images that will link to PDF documents instead of Dribbble images. It’s relatively easy. If you have some coding knowledge then I can guide you on our support forum and if you don’t have any coding knowledge then I can suggest to get some developer to do it for you (also via forum). The time that is needed to complete this is like 1h (easy change – I don’t suspect any unexpected issues with this).
ok, I’ve asked to devatic support forum yesterday, I’m waiting for an answer…
It’s because of the weekend. Nobody is checking that forum on Sat/Sun. I’ll answer it soon. Thanks for patience!
Hello,
I recently purchased your wordpress theme and thank you very much.
I have 3 questions, I will start with what I think is the easiest and end with what I think is the hardest question.
1) Do blogs have RSS feeds? If so, how does one access this RSS link? I would like to add an RSS icon perhaps to the bottom toolbar (which I enabled in sidebar). This leads me to question 2.
2) I would like to customize my icon toolbar (which was enabled in sidebar 2). For example, how would I remove the “Dribbble” icon and in it’s place add a “vimeo” icon?
Lastly, this is probably the most difficult one to answer:
3) In my contact page, I added the necessary wordpress plugin to enable the contact fields just like in the example you have set up. The problem I seem to have is the field box for “NAME”, “EMAIL”, and “MESSAGE” are unaligned, so the “NAME/EMAIL/MESSAGE” text sits a couple pixels above the empty field box where it should sit inside.
Furthermore, I notice in the example you have set up that if you click in the “NAME” box, the word disappears and you are free to type.. the same goes for “EMAIL” and “MESSAGE”.. how would I enable that on my own contact page? I am thinking that perhaps it brings it back to the issue with the words not be aligned correctly and nested in my fields… The link to my contact page is here. You should be able to see exactly what the problem is.
Please advise, and again thank you very much for putting out excellent work.
1) Yes. Standard WP feed. You can access it like this: http://themes.devatic.com/konzept/feed/
2) We still use image icons there (PNG) and they can be modified here: http://themes.devatic.com/konzept/wp-content/themes/konzept/images/connect2.png (you can either replace existing image or add new one).
3) On support forum in sticky threads there is correct Contact Form 7 code (with labels). http://support.forcg.com/topic/common-questions
I hope that helps and thank you so much for your kind words

Hi Flow,
Thank you for your response. I will adjust the image icons… I notice that there is also a connect.png.. maybe I can use that. But it seems like it will require a lot of trail and error because of the ‘CSS no-scroll’ values that will need to be adjusted.. perhaps in the future you can create an easier way for us to change these icons? Maybe setting up a map for us so we know what values to edit in CSS ?
So I tried to access my feed and it doesn’t seem to be enabled. I try adding the ’/feed/’ after the domain where my page is set-up and I am getting a 404. It’s very odd considering that the ’/feed/’ will work in the example ‘themes.devatic.com’ address you set up for yourself but it doesn’t seem to work on my individual domain. Do you recall if anyone else has had this issue? I have tried searching through the forum and it seems that no-one has touched this issue… I am at a loss to figure out why my feed is returning a 404. Even after adding the ’/feed/’ after my domain where Konzept is setup, I know it should work but it just isn’t…
What files do you think I could look at? I am thinking there is some kind of feed file that perhaps needs to be edited.
Thank you, Bobby
Thank you Flow,
Sorry about the delay in response but it took me a couple days to solve problem 1 and problem 3. Because I was moving my wordpress from one domain to another, it was a mess and there was alot of issues with broken links and paths pointing to my old domain.. in the end I decided to delete everything and start with a fresh install with my backed up mySQL database.
For the contact form problem I ended up following the instructions subtitled ‘Some optional steps to take during the installation of theme’ at the link you provided (http://support.forcg.com/topic/common-questions).
The only thing I need to adjust is the social media icons which I added on the sidebar. I understand that I can either change the PNG image or perhaps change the code to point to the ‘connect.png’ image, so I’ll see which is the best way for me to get that done.
My only suggestion is that perhaps in the future you can make it easier for people to switch out the social media icons in the sidebar? That way we aren’t stuck with icons that most don’t use (i.e. dribble).
Thanks for everything!
Hey Flow, one more question.. to get fullscreen images for the slide images what dimensions do you recommend? I am uploading 1920×1080 but for some reason they aren’t displaying as full screen… I can’t seem to find the recommended image dimensions on the documentation so I figure I could ask you this quick question.
Thank you.
Hmm.. nevermind my question regrading the image size! I found that if you upload different images with the same name, the uploader gets confused. I didn’t realize that every image uploaded had to be labeled differently.. I was uploading images as “1”, “2” and so on..
Quite a few messages have appeared since my last reply
Can you please move all that to our support forum with list of what’s still remaining? I’ll provide you code and instructions then. Thanks!
I love the theme , very nice concept but I am affraid visitors can have problems with navigation : some fixed arrows in the projects would help ,first project with text and picture in the background. There is also some bug with the header transparancy in IE. I had some questions in the support forums but without answer for now. I hope your help me soon.
If your questions are on support forum then they will get answered soon (you can bump your thread if you wish). We’re getting like 1 request every 30 minutes, so I’m sorry for delays.
I’m sorry … but the code inside this template is horrible …mix of html / CSS and jquery in a very complicate way ….. into the header for example …. 1900 lines .. WHY ????
Sorry for that but i don’t understand your rules of coding into this template.
I try to just modify some simply elements and it’s so complicate …
There is quite clear logic behind this but I’ll need to know what exactly are you trying to adjust. If you could create support ticket on our forum that would be great
More or less …..for example , i don’t understand why you cannot use an JS file and put most of your js coming from your header ….
sorry for that but header file is unreadable …..........
We can do that but since some modules need PHP output it has to be PHP file and since it is being executed in more places (and it is connected with functions.php AJAX calls) it has to be somewhere where it’s accessible from all pages. So, if moved to new PHP file – it still would look similarly.
It’s readable and code has proper indentation everywhere but I agree that it’s very complex code. There are a lot of AJAX requests and complex math formulas everywhere. We also use rare (and also complex) mechanisms to perform some additional actions that update URLs and other things.
As for style tags – they are all put in <head> section of the document and it’s again – only those styles that need PHP conditions.
Basically – you shouldn’t update that part of script because it is CORE script of slideshow (loading projects etc.). You are perhaps interested in standard HTML and CSS modifications. I would be able to help you if I knew what are you trying to do.
it’s just for information .. i’m a developper from 15 years , so i’m not afraid just disappointed …. your code can be less complex for reading … for sure …
it’s just a remark …..
Regards,
It’s not my code to be honest but we outsourced it. Thanks for your suggestions! We will be moving a lot of Javascript to CSS3 eventually, so it will surely become less complex.
Anyway, I think that there’s nothing to edit in header.php for you and you’re looking for other scripts. Nobody would understand contents of header.php because it’s almost “compressed” version. Especially slideshow calculations and AJAX calls are not readable at all by human and are not meant to be altered – some of the scripts have only one compressed version and we do not have uncompressed one because we bought it from other companies for single use in this project.
If you’d like to change some particular things like thumbnails script, styles or even HTML structure of project container then it’s much easier and it’s not the place that you’re looking for.
Full slideshow slides output is placed in framework/.../slides.php and it’s much easier to be modified (even by someone not experienced at coding).
Hey I am editing a friends website, and all I am getting is a blank screen with the footer.
Can I have your URL , please? Can you please open support ticket on our forum? Thanks!
Flow, just a simple wish:
could you replace the URL rene.xsigndll.com in the description to: www.renehaas.com?
It’s finally published, so thanks in advance
Rene
I’m looking at all back unanswered comments today and just to confirm: it’s been replaced long ago
Any planed updates?
Yes, we’re re-building Konzept and moving it into new framework right now. It’s going to basically improve mechanics and eliminate any browser inconsistencies.
Sorry…And the 4th one…Its possible delete the animation with the line and %charging? Thank you
Yes. It’s enough to give it display: none; in CSS .
Hi…Some questions 1.- Has the theme a Blog? 2- Has the theme slidebar with ‘search’ engine? 3.- It’s possible embed in each projetc buttons linked with social networks?
Thank you
I’m sorry for delayed response. Here are your answers:
1) Yes.
2) No.
3) Hmm, that depends – social icons are available. You can add there some thing but the others might not be as easy to be added.
I’ve found this theme http://wpthemes.rubenbristian.com/wowway/# (that works with the same principle) that renders perfectly in Chrome Mac. Did they maybe use different code or something… ?
Yes they did – they use simplified version version of many scripts (like simple modal boxes and not fullscreen slideshow). I’ll check if something can be done to improve that. Thanks for your thoughts!
Great thanks a mill! I noticed the same problem in Safari for Mac. Good luck.
Hey Flow, this is really a beautiful theme and I’m thinking of buying it for a portfolio project. The only concern I have is: When you are on the portfolio tiles page, and you make the window smaller, it has a flickering effect. Is this fixable?
Thanks! What browser and system are you using? I haven’t noticed that on Win7/FF.
Im on a Mac and Im in Chrome. Would be great if it can be fixed
It works fine in Firefox… So its definitely a Chrome issue…
Chrome gets constant updates every few days, so it may get resolved soon but I think that it’s MAC issue in this case because in Win7/Chrome everything is fine (no flickering at all). Or rather – it is Chrome issue but only on Mac – Mac renders graphic differently and it has tons of problems that Windows doesn’t have (for instance PNG cursors doesn’t work in Mac/FF).
Hey Flow, I’d love to buy this theme to build a photo / video portfolio site, but there’s no video playback on iPhone/iPad right now? Is there a chance to add this?
Thanks, Ralph
It should support YouTube and Vimeo videos on mobile devices (please check if demo does). We only disabled HTML5 videos to save transfer because mobile devices are usually not designed to handle 20mb+ HD videos (especially on cellular Internet connection). I hope that helps
Hey Flow!
Man this theme is rad. I’m interested in buying but am concerned about mobile.
How does the user on mobile know that they can scroll through the portfolio and see additional images? On desktops, we get the big arrows where the mouse is to show us we can click. But on mobile?? Am I missing a feature?
Looking forward to your response.
Thx
Rob
Thanks
On mobile it works just like Google Images or other galleries – user will need to swipe images to the right. There is no indicator or instructions because we consider that intuitive.
Hi, I bought the theme and I’m wondering about two things:
1 – I wanna change the color of blog posts titles. I’ve tried to find it in style.css but without luck. Could you tell me how to do it?
2 – When I’m in ‘Contact’ page and I try to go to ‘All Works’ nothing happens and I just see the background image. How to fix this bug?
Thank you!
I’m not sure which blue color is it. Theme has monochrome B&W colors everywhere. Can you please show me some example? And selector is: .page-title.
If you mean comment bubble image then it’s PNG image that is located in /images/ folder.
.extended-blog-title a:hover {
color: #3B95B1;
text-decoration: none;
}
Thank you! It’s perfect right now!
Another problem: I can’t see the ‘google maps’ on background and I don’t know why. I used the contact code and have linked my own location… http://www.poizandfoodstyle.com/contact/
You’ll need to generate big Google Maps screenshot (we use JPG image to load everything faster) and put it as background image. Putting there real Google Map is not recommended because it will only cause website to load slower.
