Hi, & thank you for a lovey theme. However, there still seem to be a few basic issues: 1. There is no possibility to turn off the gallery icon on the classic blocks – shown on the main page are especially problematic. I’ve had an additional CSS added but on the current update it doesn’t work anymore. 2. The Masonry Block has a dark overlay even if all settings are correct and should show images as they are – on Home page. 3. There seems to be no way of changing the title text dimension on Slider A set as main slider on the Home page. I’ve checked all the information here and the additional CSS, to no result. Thank you,

For the Author Box on Author Page, is there a way to only display the author name, not other information. Currently it is showing profile picture, join date, and article number, I want to remove this info.

Yeah it’s possible The theme follows WordPress coding standards, so you can use a free plugin like this to import/export Zeen’s theme options: https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/

Just my review… after two years of ZEEN usage… 7/10points – I like ZEEN very much, but!!!!
1. It is very easy to use. Very intuitive. 2. It is fast and well coded, search engines like ZEEN 3. It has nice, modern and fresh look (70% of elements/areas) 4. Font administration si preeety cool 5. Post writing styling is nice in admin, what I see is what I get 6. Very nice compatibility with other plugins 7. Updates frequency is nice
but…
1. I think, Codetipi should leave Tipi builder at all and tranform all existing blocks into the Elementor and Guttenberg, I expect this can bring many new ZEEN customers. Everybody knows Elementor / Gutenberg, nobody knows TIPI builder. Tipi Builder is after two years still on the starting line, and we are not able to produce multipurpose pages, because magazines are not only posts in these days (if we want to earn money with our services).
2. Header area, there are still so many bugs, because hundreds of combinations exist. After two years, I am not able to reach header combination, which fill my needs and work well.
3. Mobile responsivness is not good – example : some of the post layouts look teriible on the mobile – especially the Hero areas with cover picture. What has to be one column, it has two columns layout on mobile…?? What? Try to write long title and subtitle,, it look terrible… Who makes the testing? etc,, the issues with mobile responsivness are many…
But I like ZEEN very much, it is good choice for blog, but if you need multipurpose website with strong magazine and strong service area, it is not ideal yet.

Happy to hear you like Zeen, but with regards to the mobile issues you refer to, no one has reported anything (and I haven’t seen any issues either), for stuff like that please just open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and include urls, steps to recreate the issue and screenshots to make sure we’re seeing the same thing.
All issues/quirks/bugs will always be improved/fixed, but unless you report them when you see them, it might never be fixed as I don’t know about them!

Good Morning, i have used the zeen demo “freebies” (demos.codetipi.com/zeen-freebies/gift-wrapping-scene-maker) to setting my website and all it’s fine. The issue is: the post images are not alligned to the text but are left (same as the demo). The problem are the AdSense banners because follow the text position and final effect it’s a chaos. How can i do to setting the post images allign same as the text? Thanks

I went on the demo url you shared, but that’s all working as expected – that article layout is designed to work that way. If you want the text to align on the left side, you need to change the article layout to one without a left info column.

For some reason my Tipi builder will not save anything. It just has the loading sign continuously going. I have tried disabling all plugins and Wordpress, Envato, and Zeen are up to date. Any idea what else I could do? I no longer have support on this theme, so I hope you can suggest something. Thank you so much for your time and super awesome theme!

Gosh that doesn’t sound good, but you will need to open a ticket in the support system and include login details so the support team can go and investigate deeper. The builder is definitely working fine though, so it’s 100% something isolated to your site.

I originally made this support ticket but it been five days so I’ll post it here.
I bought zeen back in august and installed it into WordPress. Long story short I accidentally deleted the theme. Now when I try to re-download and upload the theme every time I press install it says the link has been expired. What do I do? Can you give me a new link?

Hello friends, I want to report a small error. For an audio post when previewed in a specific category – does not work for classic blocks of the pattern does not work small icon with headphones, instead of this small icon it shows the image from the embeed player (no matter what it is, here spotify, mixcloud and the like inserted). Can you please check?
Next I want to ask, in the editing of the post I see the possibility: “Podcast mode” – what does this option do? I didn’t find any information in the manual – before it was enough to just make an audio article, is it some new upcoming template function?

Currently it changes the language of the byline, so instead of By Author it would say Hosted By Author. This feature will be expanded further once the Podcast demo is finished.

Hello, i’m using Zeen for a while and enjoying it.
Quick question. How can I modify the Lets Review Schema Settings? I need to have a “reverse rating” (ie. 0 starts = BestRating and 5 Stars = worstRating ). Any way to do it adding some quick code on child functions.php?

Ooph I’m afraid not, the worstRating and bestRating schema code is all hard coded – no one has ever wanted to make the bestRating be zero before! I’ll look into adding extra filters to be able to make that possible, but can’t promise anything right now!

I can try to modify the hard code if you give me some hints on where to do it. I’m just afraid that if I don’t work on the child theme, all changes will vanish when updating. It shouldn’t be too hard to change this two fields, am I wrong?

Hi hope you’re well – I’ve noticed since the update that the paragraph ‘p’ is wrapping the text on the front end at the beginning and end of every paragraph. I’ve tried editing it out in the code editor but it just won’t stop appearing.
It’s really annoying as I can’t find a way to fix it. I’ve tried doing fresh posts, changed the layout, deleted the info box, changed the gallery style, copy and pasted and rewrites but the blighter won’t disappear – thought you’d want to know 
Ok so I just opened an affected post – I opened the paragraph block editor and changed the text size from Default to Normal – the ‘p’ at the beginning of the post disappeared but it remained at the end of the post – if that helps???

I have a question. Did Zeen support Elemetor? Is It possible to build site like this: https://gamesguru.pl/ using this theme? I don’t know it’s only me – when I go to demos in ZEEN theme, there 1-2 second delay to reload page (this connected with text and image) – it is only demos problem or in full product there is also this delay? (I have this delay only in yours theme Demos – for example when I go to Newspaper theme Demos, they realoded right away)

Yes, Zeen is compatible with Elementor (some Zeen customers use it with no issues), however, if you want to build that gamesguru homepage, you can 100% build something similar (but much better) with just the theme and Tipi Builder.
The Tipi Builder loads ZERO extra dependencies, so it’s much, much lighter than Elementor (Loads lots of extra CSS/JS/HTML code). So unless you have to use Elementor, I’d recommend not using it so that you can get great performance.
The demos load images once the user interacts with the site (scroll, click, etc), but this is a feature from WP Rocket plugin, if you don’t use that plugin, then that won’t happen. And if you do use WP Rocket, then you can turn that feature off in the plugin settings too.

Hi! I found a possible bug in the otherwise “best theme” ever.
When you choose layout 8 – the narrow content with wide images etc, the images gets aligned to the right and gets very small ( about 30% width) on mobile screens, or when you resize the browser-window.
Could you pls check into this…

Hi again… I sort of had that feeling, The theme having such a high quality – so this “slip” seemed unlikely… Thanks for your reply and the stunning theme….
Embarrassing: It was my fault. I added new values to “extra css” for align-fs .alignwid and replaced the marign value of 45px to {margin: 15px 0 15px 50%;, but forgot to add “transform: translatex(-50%);”..... So problem fixed….

And this is why “bug reports” are also considered theme support and you need valid support package to ask authors for help on Themeforest. Because a lot of the times, the bugs reported aren’t actually to do with the theme

I’m not 100% sure BuddyBoss official integration will ever be added to Zeen though, as it’s a third party premium plugin, and there is no way to test it easily.
If you have BuddyBoss already, test it on TwentyTwenty theme (default WordPress theme). However it works and looks there, is likely how it would look/work like in Zeen, as Zeen follows best coding practise and compatibility with third party plugins will almost identical to default WordPress themes.
The theme is compatible with BuddyPress though

Can I submit a suggestion for the suggestion box…
A search bar with the option to enable search suggestions that show when a user starts typing… and the option to change what a user can search for for example only products, only blog posts, only buddypress users etc etc.
A search bar would be really good for shops and buddypress sites especially because it prompts users to explor and search your site more than just a clickable icon. A search bar can also change the whole look and feel of a header. Big ecommerce sites such as amazon, ebay always use search bars instead of just icons (while im thinking of ebay lol another suggestion would be multivendor plugin compatibility thats always a winner for a theme!).
For instance I really like the header layouts but a search bar where the big ad space is would be perfect otherwise its just a big white space for me at the moment.

I’m afraid that isn’t really a feature a theme should have I’m afraid! The theme can only show real search results via ajax, not suggest things.
You can turn off the theme’s live ajax results, and instead install a plugin such as this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/auto-search-suggestion/ that might do the trick!

Oh yeah thats what I meant I just wasn’t good at explaining what you would call a drop down box with some results when you start typing would be called. Yeah suggestions would need AI and a lot of cpu.
My main suggestion was just for a search bar that we can place where we want in the header really

WooCommerce is very complex and default AMP does not work with it at all. You need to purchase the AMP for WooCommerce extension (AMP for WordPress made and sell it), but I have no idea how good it is.
If I’m 100% honest and you asked for my advise, I would say to avoid using AMP.
Zeen’s mobile site is MUCH faster, better designed and more powerful than AMP, and Google was taken to court over AMP so it no longer unfairly prioritises them in search results (that’s why you never see AMP on mobile searches any more).

I use zeen almost a year. If you have nothing to do with coding forget. 50% thing needs code change, there is lack of options in UI (e.g. main manu has checkbox to change in darkmode but secondary menu not so it not change in dark mode and you need find functions in code)... There is no clear user instruction with functions description. Documentation for zeen is very technical and complicated for normal human. Support answered, of course, but mostly they are not able to help in anything as for them everything works as expected – surprising, right? :))) From user perspective – this is application under development, only for advanced users and coders. For me – it’s useless and time consuming. Price to quality: 3/10

I’m sorry you feel this way, but I’m really confused. You 10000% do not need to change code at all. In fact, you shouldn’t ever change the code at all as that is terrible practise. If you give me one example of code you changed, I bet it can be done without coding.
Secondary menu: It does have a dark mode icon option.
Documentation: Feedback from other users is quite the opposite. And the extensive API and hooks sections are the only technical ones, but they are to help agencies/developers extend the theme in any way they want.
What section did you not understand in the documentation? If you give proper context, I can look into it and perhaps it can be expanded/re-written.

Hi is there not an option in TIPIBUILDER to save page to draft or sheduled update? I made a full page for cybermonday.. but the only thing that i now can do is to leave my pc on until monday.. as i only have a save button. :/

The Tipi Builder is part of a normal page’s system, meaning you can use it on a draft page. So if have a page set to draft or schedule to publish, it will do exactly that.

don’t see how that can be working. If the page already exists.. the only way to save you a new tipibuilder layout is to press the save button. In wp customizer however, you can save a draft or schedule. (like you also can do in elementor builder) would be a very handy feature if this can be made in the TIPI builder, Chris.
