Don’t need help with using posts and post categories, managed to figure that out. So only issue is with the filter not filtering the entire category only the items displayed. Also is there anyway to change the order of the filters (ie. the order of the posts sub categories) so they don’t have to be alphabetical. Thanks again.

I’m trying to create a portfolio page to show the 4 latest posts (across all categories) and then filter by category (showing the latest 4 in each category). The filter seems to only be able to filter the initial number of posts so in my case it will only filter the 4 posts not all the categories. Right now I am actually testing this with portfolio categories and sub categories so help using posts and post catagories in the portfolio page would also be appreciated.

Thank you for the reply, I think you may have misunderstood me. I will try to clarify. I have a home page with a slider and a portfolio shortcode that looks like this: [bra_portfolio title=”Featured” cat_id=”48” no=”4” show_filters=”yes” columns=”4” shape=”“]
The ID refers to my parent post category which has a few subcategories which then become the filters. Very basic really. Currently because my no. is set to 4 it will only show and filter those 4 most recent posts what I would like to do is have it show the 4 most recent posts but have it filter all the posts so to try and clarify the behaviour I am looking for: It will never show less then 4 posts because if I click a filter it will show the 4 most recent posts in that sub category.
I hope that clarifies, thank you so much for the support, I have been delving into the isotope code to try and sort this out but I am not getting very far.

I’m having a HECK of a time with this theme and I consider myself fairly wordpress savy ??
1. Can’t get ANY portfolio stuff to show up, I have categories and then subcategories all arranged… some work some don’t? 2. Can’t get Vimeo videos to play anywhere anyhow? What specifically am I supposed to put in the url…it mentioned full Vimeo url so I put https://vimeo.com/50633604 nothing shows up, vimeo box shows up, but no video?

1) Have you tried shortcode portfolio? It must work if you have items (with featured images) in categories
2) For Vimeo, you must use http, not https.
are there alternate sliders to add to BigBang? maybe without the Nav Buttons, so that it just acts as a slide show?

you can’t new sliders easily (you can always add some plugin)
You can remove nav button if you add this to Extra CSS (in Brankic Panel)

You can change some slider parameters in slider.inc.php (Appearance -> Editor). Near the end of the file are settings for blog/portfolio/page sliders…
how can you make the slider on the first page move a slower ?

I have a question about surfing with the mobile. My blog is starting to look great but when I use a phone the mobile version is not doing well as it shows the code instead of button boxes for example. (tested in Android phone and iPhone). It there anything that can be done or be considered.

this is very weird problem. I can see you’re using a lots of plugins. Try to disable all of them, because I’m 99% sure it’s something about plugins…
You were 100% right! the plug in that was my problem was Jetpack por WordPress.com, which is a big big pitty (as it was the best plug in of all I had) :o( I am sad about that, but I’ll try to look for substitutes.
If you can have it in consideration for future updates..I’ll be happy to recover that plug in.

well, to be honest, i think there is nothing wrong with our shortcodes, but I’ll try to figure it out why this happens…
Question – when updating this theme, Is it necessary to update the widgets as well? I’m currently using 1.5.2 and see that there’s the 1.7.3. So does that mean that current widgets I’m using is also 1.5.2 and much has changed in the code since 1.7.3?

I do have an issue though. The button shortcode won’t pickup any colours. They all just display as grey. Any ideas?

buttons have static colors (not depending on theme color style). You have to define it’s color in shortcode[bra_button text="Small" url="http://www.brankic1979.com" target="_self" size="small" style="rounded" color="yellow"]

You have to use WordPress Menus (Appearance -> Menus)
If you don’t use this menu, all pages will show up there…

I’m a bit of an amateur and need some help with the social media widget.
I select the facebook icon and then enter the url address that i want it to head to, my facebook page. However when i click the icon it tries to redirect me back through my own site, anyone know why this is or what i’m doing wrong?
Instead of directing to www.facebook.com it is going to www.mywebsite.com/home/www.facebook.com
Any help from anyone would be great. Im also struggling with getting my photostream to come through on pinterest but one step at a time ay?

Sort of. I got the blog working again, but /blog always goes to the Archive of the Blog and not to the page titled “Blog.” Is this normal? Is there a workaround? You can see here – http://creekside.me/blog/
This is because your page and category have the same slugs and you’re using post name permalink structure. In this structure page and category blog have same structure and in that case archive template is used (WP related)
Try to change slugs, or names of page/category…
