We’d like to be able to add profile photos for about 30 of our VIP members. We tried adding a couple of avatar/profile photo plugins but they just hung up. Is there a way for us to do this from Admin or do we need to login as each member to upload a profile photo? Thanks

WordPress recognizes avatars through email addresses and gravatar.com.
You also can’t use a 3rd party plugin to do that, because VidMov stores the avatar in a different way.
Ideally, you should create a ticket through the support tab. Because it needs advice from our technical support. I can’t help you here, because it doesn’t have that option.

1. Could you add a Download Function Like in your VidoRev Theme?
2. Could you add the ability to set custom “Like/Dislike” Emojis?
3. Im using the VidoRev theme with over 1500 embedded videos. Is it possible to import those videos to the new VidMov Theme automatically?

1/ There is definitely that feature. It is available in the product development roadmap. It will appear soon after other important features are added.
2/ Do you need to change the icons of those buttons or do you need something else?
3/ I cannot answer this question. It belongs to the custom work, normally will have to develop a tool to extract and import data. This depends on your existing data. VidMov is improved and developed completely different from VidoRev. Therefore, the data structure of the two themes is completely different. I think you should create a ticket through the support tab to be reviewed by our technician.

Your theme is exactly what I have hoped to find after deciding to rebuild my site. I have a question about the sidebar pertaining to Post Extension (widget) or any widget that goes in the sidebar. What would be the best way to alter what shows up in the sidebar based on what video category, or what page you are on. Right now it seems the sidebar has to be exactly the same on every page on the site that shows the sidebar. I’d like certain playlists to show up in the sidebar depending where you are on the site.

How to set the content of side menu navigation bar?

1/ Elementor only helps you with some specific tasks. It is not the key to change everything on your website.
Some pages are specifically set up to display specific elements and functions. For example the “Buy” page, which displays the functions from myCred. VidMov only allows that area to display functions and shortcodes from myCred as well as features from the theme. It does not display “the content” of the page. Therefore, you cannot use Elementor to edit it.

2/ Side-Menu: What do you need to set up for that location? If you need to change the navigation bar, please visit: WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Add a new menu or edit your existing menu ( Then scroll to the bottom to the Menu Settings location and choose Side Menu to put it there )
For Channel related features, please go to Theme Settings -> Channel -> Side Menu Settings Tab
You can also add widgets at the bottom of the side-menu by: go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets ( Then drag and drop and set the widgets for the Side Menu – Sidebar )

VidoRev will not be able to use features from VidMov.

Congrats, its a good start to great theme. I feel many feature are still not there, hope its being actively developed for long time to make it complete/comprehensive enough for various use cases.
While i build my site using your theme i noted down some points/features which i was looking for in the theme/ideally expected them but wasn’t there, so please consider them to have it in your theme:
1. Get inspiration from Boombox Theme you will find out many good things to implement in your Theme
2. Beside Trending – hot, popular & custom using Sorting Parameters/Criteria’s & Statistical Timeline (get idea/inspiration from BoomBox Theme)
3. Architectural change to allow Single User create, publish & maintain Multiple Channels instead of 1 User = 1 Channel
4. Special Archive/List page for All categories & All Tags just like channel/cast i.e name of category/tag together with photo for visualisation of Terms
5. Custom Reactions (get idea/inspiration from BoomBox Theme)
6. Show some specific Categories as Badges to Post on Archive/Single Page
7. Share section on Single Video Page should be more accessible, right now its not that visible so will cause less sharing by users
8. Personalised Recommendations to Users based on User Data, Subscriptions, History, etc
9. Make available all Sorting Parameters/Criteria’s in Trending Setting (views, like, dislike, etc)
10. Statistical Timeline in Frontend sorting widgets together with Sorting Parameters/Criteria’s (most viewed + weekly, etc)
11. Sort by Views in Elementor Blocks/Theme Widgets
12. Statistical Timeline Option in Elementor Blocks/Theme Widgets
13. Add multiple videos using search to playlist from playlist screen/post in Backend
14. Allow Different Slugs for Archive & single i.e. allow ‘videos’ for archive & ‘video’ for single

We read that Channels are Members, which is a little odd but we can deal with that if there is a way to promote some channels differently than others. For example, we have 17 channels with QUALITY content that we want to list separately from members who join to watch content, not to post it.
Otherwise we will have thousands of channels when we have thousands of members and most channels will have no content, which makes finding a quality channel much more difficult.
We thought of making Playlists or Series into Channels but only if everyone can see a list of all playlists/series, not just their own.
Is there another option you can think of? A custom field?

You can categorize them into specific tags or categories.
Then create specific pages for each specific showcase and use Elementor to build that page.
Of course, you can create dozens of different pages with many different ideas tailored to the content you need to display.

Here you can set it to show video posts according to different criteria (in which category, which tag…)
Channels is a community feature that makes it easy for members to display their content without having to spend too much time setting up or creating new channels. Their job is to submit video or audio posts.

Hi, I have a question regarding mycred. Is something like this possible. visitor buy some credits and after send it to user or channel (or split it for more users), if he likes the video from them. I do not want to restrict the videos like pay per view, but something like twitch do. The get credit if they like it.
