CSS stylesheet missing error happens when you are trying to upload the theme package instead of the theme file (named bookworm.zip). Hi, I’d like to ask about the loading speed of your custom Gutenberg blocks. There seems to be a big difference between loading time of default WordPress and Bookworm custom blocks. I tried to deactivate/activate all plugins and switch to default theme and back, but that didn’t help. I tried all possible settings combination in WP Rocket, but without any success to speed up loading speed. Please, check this testing url with my notes which block is which one.

1. The Book Author is a product attribute. Our theme uses MAS WooCommerce Brands to manage this book author attribute. Please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Brands and then assign the newly created ‘autor’ attribute as the Brand Attribute.

Hello, So this is a very very nice theme. Beautiful! The only issue I find that is also very important is that the payment gateway fields show all messed up on the check out page. Even the woocommerce payments gateway doesn’t show well. Is there a way to fix this? Am I missing somehting? Has anyone else had this issue?

Hello Dear Developers, I hope you guys are doing well & healthy! I have only one issue with this theme. When I list more then few Free & Paid books in a single row on Home or Shop Pages or any other places, It’s showing Cart Icon instead of Download Text button for both Free & Paid Books. For example, You can see the screenshot here, These both books are Free, but for the one side books on Feature Books showing Cart icon and for the other section, It’s showing Downloads buttons: . So I need the download button for free eBooks anywhere on the sites if there any amounts books are on the row. Similarly on the mobile Preview, it’s showing every where the Cart Icon only on the books if there are fee or paid.
To be more clear, I need force Download Button free eBooks on Mobile and Desktop Devices in any case. You can see the mobile screenshot here:

Very disappointed by your replay, I was previously discussed this with your support team by email, Not only this theme, but 3 other themes was purchased by our developer, I am a client, But as the Situation has changed dramatically in Afghanistan, Our developer run away from Afghanistan by Smugly Ways to Turkey, He was running for his life, Unfortunately We don’t know he’s alive or dead, cause their family has not be able to contact him tile now. But you should keep in mind, You have paid me for this theme indirectly. Now if you need me to Purchased this them again for this simple issue, which I believe it’s matter of few buttons, Then I am sorry that we don’t have active bank system and credit cards system yet, It takes time. and My theme is absolutely outdate as well. #Note: This theme was uploaded to my site by him, I am still using that.

I think there are some problems with the theme because product carrousel doesn’t work. It says “This block has find an error and it can’t be previewed” (more or less, because I have the theme in another language). What can I do?

Please clarify if you had made any changes manually instead of through the block settings. You can also use the “Resolve” button to see what is causing the error. I am using this theme with an existing catalog that already has thousands of products. One of the things that attracted me to the theme was the home page flexibility.
The home page product carousel blocks are NOT populating for anything but the default option, which is useless to me.
When I select, for example, Product Type-Categories and then select, for example, Romance, the block comes up empty. This happens on the edit screen, preview, and live page. It also happens with Product Type-Tags, -Attributes, etc. Only the default option actually populates the block.
Although I shouldn’t have to, I might be able to work around it if I could figure out how the Default option is populating. But it is only displaying the same six titles for each block, and they’re ones I don’t want on my home page. These titles have nothing special going on (they aren’t Featured, don’t have a particular attribute, etc.) and so there’s no way for me to go in there, remove whatever is causing the six titles I DON’T want to populate, and assign that function to six titles I WOULD want. Do I need to recreate all of my categories, tags, attributes, etc. for these blocks to work properly?
Please help. Your documentation has no troubleshooting info for the product carousel block and we can’t launch until this issue is resolved.

I understand they’re customizable, but they are not populating as they should. I have emailed your support team and look forward to hearing from them.
I also don’t see any information in your documentation on how to change the links for the colored pre-populated category blocks. The ones going to product-category/a through product-category/e, etc. I want to replace these with my site’s links but the block editor does not have a place to do this and the documentation does not give any information. And the HTML editor gives an error message and freezes the Home page editor every time I try to edit it that way.
Your theme is lovely but so far I am incredibly disappointed in the back end.

It simply wraps additional controls over existing core blocks. I’ll check with the support and see if there are any issues in the blocks that requires resolving and updation. ...yeah, I get that. But offering an option to populate a field from a tag or a category yet having that option give zero output is a theme issue, not a Gutenberg one. Why even offer the option if it isn’t functional? And the choice to have such extremely limited documentation is 100% on your team as the devs so again, not a Gutenberg issue. Although limited documentation does make sense if the back end doesn’t work properly.
I have double checked to ensure all of my related plugins are up-to-date (they are) and I have confirmed with my hosting company that it is not an issue related to server resources (which can sometimes make Gutenberg a little wonky). I have gone through all of your available documentation and while very pretty, it is extremely limited on actual content. I will wait a short time to hear about any updates but if this can’t be fixed then I will want to find out how to get a refund.
If the actual content in the home pages’ blocks can’t edited and we can only make minor cosmetic changes to the font or background color or whatever, then this theme is a complete waste of $$ and time.

Hello. I have tried several ways to get the theme to look the same as the image you have in TF, indicating that the theme is optimized for mobile phones and I cannot achieve it. You can create precise instructions to be able to have the header with the cart and the main menu (not the categories) in the mobile version or make an urgent update and add the cart and the main menu in the mobile view.

Hi team, This is a great theme. I install and use it to develop, but I got the issue related to loading homepage. Seem likes It take too much time to load (because of ajax loading) , It took around 9-10seconds to load. I already checked on your demo, and still got this issue.

Thank you for purchasing our theme and for reaching us. Our demo does not have a cache plugin enabled because we are making updates to our demos.
The AJAX loading actually increases the perception of fast loading website.
A theme plays a very small role. It only styles the output generated by WooCommerce. It does not make any DB calls. All data and content are fetched by WooCommerce itself.
Here are our general suggestions to speed up your website :
1. Use PHP 7+ instead of PHP 5.x. This would increase the speed by at least 20%.
2. Use caching plugins like WP Rocket or W3T Cache to cache your server output.
3. Use a CDN like cloudflare to cache your static resources like JS, CSS and deliver those files faster.
4. Optimize all your images before upload. Images make up for more than 50% of your website’s size.
5. Consider using a dedicated hosting instead of shared hosting. We recommend Digital Ocean for unmanaged hosting and WPEngine for managed hosting.
Having said that Google PageSpeed or GTMetrix is not a measure of speed but a measure of factors that could affect speed. A website can have a low rating and be very fast. You can update the theme can be updated in 3 ways:
1. Automatically: You can use the Envato Market plugin to update the Theme automatically. Instructions here: https://ibndawood.com/how-to-update-a-themeforest-wordpress-theme-or-a-codecanyon-wordpress-plugin/
2. Semi-Automatically: Sometimes, (1) does not work. You should download the latest installable WP theme zip file from your Themeforest downloads page and then upload it via Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme and upload the zip file. WP will backup the old Theme and install the new one.
3. Manually: You should download the latest installable WP theme from your ThemeForest downloads page, rename your current theme folder in wp-content/themes folder, unzip the downloaded WP theme from your Themeforest downloads page and upload it to wp-content/themes folder.
Please note that updating a theme will override any custom changes that you make to the parent theme. Hence we recommend using a child theme. A child theme is not meant to be updated and should contain only your custom changes. Also, we strongly advise that you backup your website and database before updating. It allows you to roll back the update if anything goes wrong after update.
