Hi If I add custom code to file theme-styles.css.liquid it will be erased after the next theme update? Do I need to do it in a child theme? TIA

In next update, you can copy code and paste it into new theme source. We recommend you remember the codes you have added into theme.
Or you can create a new css file for your site to write your own code and copy the same code of this file to new source.
It’s really not practical … we should have a separate css file that we can keep active after each update ….

best example is my existing website, redbeautytextiles.com: collection stock showing see here: https://redbeautytextiles.com/collections/malabrigo-sock, menu? just hover over my main menu and you can see that it’s expanded out; so top level menu is on bar, secondlevel shows on hover, third level shows on hover.

We are sorry for our late response. We have checked you site. The problem is if your website only have single products without options, it is easy to count instock
But if your products have multiple options and each variant in option has a different number of instock, it cannot show on collection page.
You will choose to show the instock of variant or of total variants.
Is it possible to display the variants as if they were individual products in the collections or homepage?
This function is not available in theme now but we can offer as a custom work for your own website
Does the theme have a shoppable image feature?

1) there is a “Sauce” logo on your demo for the instagram feed page. what is that and how can it be removed? Does it require additional subscription.

Hi, I love your theme design. My client has products that have multiple colors. For example: jewelry that has red, black and green parts. So I need a product filter that allows me to filter for every single color and show me this jewelry when the user is clicking on ‘red’ or ‘black’ or ‘green’ filter. Products are variants with the color name ‘red-black-green’ but I do not want to have an automatic shopify 2.0 filter using this variant color, because that’s more than 100 different combinations. I thought that I can do that inserting tags in product variants, BUT I cannot insert tags in product variants. Probably I need to use Metafields or a variant-tag-adder plugin. Is this possible with your theme or is there a better solution? thank you

I need to now if I can tag product variants with your theme, with or without an external help/plugin (no subscriptions). And I need to filter shop products based on that tags in the product variants (not the tag of the main product page).
You can choose Pre Purchase Category to submit for presale question without using purchase.
- About your question:
Ella theme is supporting Shopify Filter (you don’t want it) and Filter by tags (You need to add tags for your products)
We don’t have available filter function by using metafield so we are so sorry for this.
