Does the theme also work with Rank Math?

Hi there,

The theme has not been tested with this plugin.

For a hotels reviews only which is best Magzine , gauge or huber

Hi there,

I would suggest Magzine. It has the most customisability.

Prior to purchase I asked my friend to show me the backend of his website, and after a bit of clicking around (on his phone) I realised It was not possible to add a site rating (in the rating panel) on a mobile browser, so you effectively can’t make reviews away from pc.

Is this something you’re aware of and is that likely to change (was android and we tried chrome, Firefox and opera). Bit of a deal breaker for a review site.

Hi there,

Thanks for making me aware of this. This is a theme bug and will be fixed in the next theme update.

Hello.

Is there a way to edit the quote section?

Thanks.

Hi there, it work with youzify?

Hi there, yes the theme works with Youzify. Youzify is shown in the Socialzer demo. :)

your live demo isn’t working, I would like to check it out because this could be exactly what Im looking for

Hi there,

I’m having no issue accessing the live demo. Is it still down for you?

Hi, pre-sales comment here. Really interested in this theme to replace an aging unsupported theme for my review website.

I appreciate you dont want to sell Guage anymore, and so would prefer users buy magazine.

One feature on the guage theme I really like and I don’t see here, is the ability to sort reviews and review scores by different metrics. Rating / age / site rated / user rated etc.

Guage has a simple drop down to show which categories, how you want it sorted and when it was posted. Is that missing in Magazine?

Yes you can do this with Magzine. You can build your own review templates and display site and user ratings in a variety of ways and move them anywhere you want. This is all done using the Elementor page builder. Magzine has all the review features of Gauge and Ultimate Reviewer plus more.

Thats fantastic, thank you for your feedback.

Do you have any guides or youtube videos that show the workflow of creating templates, adding posts etc?

Hi

I need to change the demo that talking about Hosting Reviews. I need to change the criteria here: https://paste.pics/J83D9

Hi there,

Yes absolutely. All of these things can be changed from the theme templates via Elementor.

Hello Team,

Question, can registered users submit Posts from the frontend of the Theme? I see that the submit option in the demos are to submit reviews but i want to be sure that this theme can submit posts as well…

The site that i want to setup will rely on user generated content heavily so the ability to submit post will be necessary.

Even if the theme doesn’t come with this feature out of the box can other plugins be added to facilitate this feature.

Hi there,

Yes, the post submission form allows you to submit any post type including ordinary posts. :)

Good Afternoon!

I have followed and purchased your work over many years now and always appreciate the effort you put into your themes.

I purchased Huber a while back, and while I liked it, it didn’t meet some of my needs. That being said, I had a couple questions before giving this one a go.

1. Is it possible to easily support multiple media types with the hub system? For example, having taxonomies for not just games or movies, but games AND movies? Meaning, can I have separate options for different kinds of hubs without creating a long list of taxonomies in a single location?

2. Seeing that users can rate things and have aggregated ratings displayed is awesome. Is there some sort of hook or API or something that would allow me to display a list of all the things they’ve rated on their profile assuming I integrate with buddypress?

I really appreciate your time and any clarity you could provide! Thank you!

Hi there,

1) I’m not sure what you’re trying to do exactly. Do you have a specific example?

2) There is no option to display all of the posts the user has rated, but this data is stored in the database so it can be displayed using the get_user_meta function.

Thank you for such a prompt reply!

What I mean with the first question is that with Huber there was one set of hub options that allowed me to create the custom taxonomies for a given hub. For example if I made a gaming website, all my taxonomies would be centered there. However, if I wanted to make a website that covered multiple mediums, such as movies and music, etc, would I be able to easily support multiple hub options to cater to those mediums simultaneously? I am pretty familiar and handy with extensions for WP such as toolset, so I am no stranger to CPTs, but I want to understand how extensible the hub feature is so that I can accommodate this.

As for 2, I understand. Thank you. I will have to deal with that myself.

Thank you again for the response!

1) I’m not understanding how taxonomies are related to hubs. Are you referring to hub fields? Any CPT can be a hub.

2) I can certainly help you with this in terms of the name of the field to retrieve. All support is provided through the support site here: https://ghostpool.ticksy.com/

Please add the color for category in menus.

Hi there,

There is currently no option for this but it can be done with CSS. I can help you with this if you open a support ticket at https://ghostpool.ticksy.com/

Good day.

On every Hub page, the “Read Our Review” link in the header points to the same page. Not sure if it’s something I did, but none of them are pointing to the associated review. Unfortunately, my support ended a few days ago and this could be impacting multiple people and hopefully not just myself.

Hi there,

If you’re reporting a theme issue or bug and don’t have an active support license please email me at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact with your WordPress URL and admin login details and I’ll take a closer look.

Done. Thank you.

This has been fixed. It was my error. Do not set any posts as Sticky.

Pre-sales question – can user’s submit their own reviews? I like the look of this page: https://magzine.ghostpool.com/web-hosting/shared-hosting/servcloud/

But I’m looking for a function where users can submit reviews and those reviews be added to a listing, almost like a directory.

Hi there,

Yes they can, you can see an example of a review submission form here: https://magzine.ghostpool.com/light-gaming-review/submit-a-review/?hub=5815 This can be used on any demo

Before buying, I have a couple of questions:

Is there a limit to the fields/type of fields I can add for a review ?For example I need 10 custom criteria … Can a user add images to a review?

Hi there,

You can add as many criteria as you want.

User images can only be added using the post submission form. This can be used to submit reviews, but each review will be created as a post/page/custom post type.

I would love to buy this and use the “modern” layout with some tweaks such as colours – but do i need to buy separate tools on top to have this?

Hi there,

You do not need to buy any separate tools. The only plugin shown in one of the demos that needs to be bought separately is WPML and you only need to use this if you want a multilingual site.

awesome, thanks

can this be setup to allow anyone who is a registered user to create a review without being an admin?

Hi there,

Yes absolutely.

You can create a submission form for registered users to post reviews from the frontend without being an admin. You can see an example here: https://magzine.ghostpool.com/light-gaming-review/submit-a-review/?hub=910

1. I bought the theme and installed it on my homepage. I activated the demo theme, but I can’t bring the demo on your homepage.

2. If I buy a theme, can’t I use all the plug-ins used here? Do I have to buy WPML for a fee? Separately?

3. I need your help. This theme requires a lot of practice.

WPML is shown as an example in one of the demos. This plugin needs to be purchased separately.

Performance of this theme is very slow in mobile and desktop as per google speedtest, is there a way to improve the performance of this theme in mobile browsers ?

https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmagzine.ghostpool.com%2Fmodern-magazine%2F

Hi there,

The main thing reducing the page speed score is the YouTube video playlist. You can choose to remove element this to greatly improve the score.

I’m also looking to reduce the amount of unnecessary JS and CSS that is loaded on each page in the future.

Would this theme be friendly to products and PC hardware review sites with extremely lengthy content such as this:

https://back2gaming.com/review/hardware/laptop/rog-flow-z13-review/

Hi there,

Yes this theme will be perfect for this.

Does this theme have built-in long post splitting (similar to Jnews or Newspaper)?

I’ve gone thru the documentation but I am particularly looking for details regarding advertisement placements. Would you have a resource for that?

No it does not have this feature unfortunately.

The theme comes with an Advertisement element which can be used to insert ad code anywhere on your site e.g. the header, main content, sidebar, within post loops. The theme also has support for the Advanced Ads plugin.

I’ll look into adding more information on this in the documentation.

Hello GhostPool team, I really like the Gauge theme but since it’s no longer supported I’m thinking of buying Magzine, it is said that the latter comes with the same features but I really find many missing by looking at the demos, such as the main menu, users review, summary.. (in terms of design/layout), can you please confirm me if I can replicate these features with Magzine like in Gauge?

My thanks.

Hi there,

Gauge is still supported, but will not receive new features only essential updates and bug fixes.

Have you looked at all the different Magzine demos. For instances there’s two gaming demos that have all the features of Gauge. See here:

https://magzine.ghostpool.com/light-gaming-review/ https://magzine.ghostpool.com/dark-gaming-review/

These includes reviews, summaries, menus with games and user reviews.
