Thank you for your interest. Custom post type is a difficult thing that requires much customization. No themes can state it works perfectly 100% with custom post types because unlike posts, CPT has custom taxonomies as well and it allows highly customization so that no theme can guarantee it’ll fit 100% with your CTP.

However, Fox supports CTP very well in many aspects in query.

Most of customers are running the latest version without any problem. There’s no problem with either classic header or the header builder. They’re 2 indenpendent modules so if you’re using the classic header, there’s no problem at all.

Are you currently using a child theme and have a custom header? Otherwise, please open a support ticket with your login info, I’ll help you to check it further.

Thanks for your kind words. We really appreciate it. MAZED image size is 480×384 but there’s no preferred one, you can use any size you want then the photo will be cropped to that size automatically.

You also have option for customizing the image thumbnail ratio, for each homepage section and for the entire website.

For example, “Logo – Culture”, “Logo – Sport”, “Logo – Cinema”. We have Text logo and want to use this custom variation for each custom category. If it possible, add “Upload Logo” feature in category settings page. Cheers

Honestly we won’t design such a feature. It’s a very advanced and specific feature so It’s more like customization service than a theme feature. At least, we don’t have any plan for such a setting in near future unfortunately.

Fox doesn’t use that plugin to handle post types. We have built-in settings for post types so you don’t need to use “Vafpress Post Formats UI”.

more detail: we just put a line of output at the top of inc/single.php (a template we will be customizing) saying “parent” if the original single.php is used, and “child” if our fox-child/inc/single.php was used. The site says “parent” when the child theme is the active one. My impression was that any templates in our child theme would be loaded instead of the parent one.

While this is a bit technical, please open a support ticket, It’ll be easier for me to explain it.

It seems your developer is understand the child theme in the wrong way. The concept template inheritance doesn’t work that way. It loads your child theme files only for template files (like fox/single.php), not for functional-purpose files (like fox/inc/single.php) and which file being inherited is specified by the parent theme (Fox).

The fox/inc/ folder consists of functional files it has nothing to do with child theme.

May I have your site URL please? If you’re using Elementor then Roboto may come from Elementor of some element which has typography option (a text element).

Otherwise, I need to see your site. Any plugin can enqueue the font so Roboto may come from any plugin.

That definitely worked in removing the except from Post Group 2’s medium and small posts, but it hasn’t removed the excerpt from Post Group 1’s small posts (which, by the way, we’re displaying as a 2 column grid). What would be the CSS for that? Happy to file a ticket if that’s easier.

I have tested the code with my site and it perfectly hides post group 1 excerpt for small posts (yes, grid 2 columns and in fact this factor plays no role). Could you please double check the code/your site or provide me your site URL, I’ll take a look.

The biggest change of this update is AMP. It’s a huge work. Also, we’re renovating almost demos to improve them.

In fact update = new features, while we can always bring new demos without any updates. They’re 2 different routes of the theme. We love new demos too but we also need to improve the core theme to improve performance, add new features.. and to make a better core as basis for new demos to come. Sometimes you’ll see a new demo like Mia or The Times or Mazed, even there’s no update

Your Smooth demo is still here, in renovating process and don’t worry, it doesn’t affect your current site at all.
