I have a problem when installing de theme Skrollex on my WP site.
I’ve installed the Layerswp parent theme, and now when I upload the theme. I’ve a fatal error on my website.
Can you please give me your help to fix this bug.

The theme only supports the version of Layers that can be downloaded from the link in the current Skrollex documentation. The problem can also be related to third party plugins. Try disabling all plugins. If the problem occurred during the upload of the theme, then this may be due to restrictions for upload file size. But usually other messages are displayed in this case. In this case, you need to change the limits on server or upload the theme using ftp or other tools that the hosting provider offers to upload big files. Also try to install theme on clear WordPress instance. To say exactly what is the reason, you need to look at the messages in the error log on the server. Ask your hosting provider where to look it.

We are unable to access the page builder components in the customizer. When we initially installed the theme, everything worked we’ve kept up with the updates and are running the latest version of everything but when we go to edit the Home Body layout, we cannot add sections or widgets. We do not see the widgets that are currently there.

In short, if you have latest version version of WordPress now, fixed version of Layers and latest version of Skrollex should be used.

We’re using the Creative One Page template. I am having difficulty identifying where I can change the filter (All, Photography, Web, Design) parameters or indeed remove the filter from teh section.

And the fiter in question is located in teh Our Work section.

Filters can be added or deleted via “SX Section / Column / Display (eye) / Filters”. Columns have they filters. If you assign new filter name which does not exist, new name will be automatically added to filters on top. If your delete some filter name from all columns, the name will be deleted from top.

so based on how this theme was advertised on envanto market, I assumed once installed I was able to load video backgrounds in layers, it seems I have to buy layerpro for this ability now at $59?

Layers Pro is not required. All the features that you see in the demo and in the product description are implemented in the theme itself. Layers Pro is not supported on Skrollex, message about Layers Pro are for using it with other themes. I do not recommend installing this extension with Skrollex. Dots are generated automatically for each SX Section on the current page, which has Anchor ID set in its properties.

I think what you want can be done using the web server settings. Also, in theory you can just rename the folder where Scrollex is installed in WordPress, but this has not been tested and if you also rename the folder where Layers is located, you will need to change the link to this folder in the Skrollex code and this will have to be done every time updating Skrollex and there may be some other issues as this has not been tested.

The theme does not support slider sections, you will most likely need a plugin for this. There are sliders that you can see in the Work section, but that’s probably not what you want. There are also animated background images in the sections, but these are not what are usually called sliders, they are just animated background images, they cannot be controlled using the user interface.

I installed everything, following document instructions, and publish, but when I go to visit site, I don’t see skrollex suzi theme, with video bg, I see blank skrollex theme? Changes that I done are not visible on my website?
If the video cannot be loaded for some reason, then the page is waiting to be loaded, but you should see a preloader and a theme-style border. If you have something else, give a link to the page, maybe it will be clearer to me what is wrong.

Most likely theme zip file is larger than max upload file size allowed in configuration of your server. Please either increase that limit or upload the theme via FTP or via cPanel or ask you hosting provider which tools should be used for upload large files.
Hi, I have installed the Skrollex theme, but when I installed it it broke with the message “The parent theme is missing. Please install the “layerswp” parent theme.” i already installed layers for elementor but the theme still doesn’t work. please help, thanks.

Try disabling all plugins, but most likely this problem is due to restrictions on server. To say exactly what is the reason, you need to look at the error log on the server. Perhaps there is not enough memory or the hosting provider has restricted access to some resources on the server. Ask your hosting provider how to view the error log. There are also WordPress plugins that show the error log if it is in the usual places. You can post error messages that are logged in the time when the page is created, and I’ll help you figure out what’s causing it.

You should be logged in as admin. Also check your permissions to edit theme files. If you have this permissions, you should have “Appearance/Theme Editor” in the admin panel.
Hello, i am logged in as admin of course. This theme had an option to edit colors without edit the theme files – the option was in Appearance – Theme colors, and in the customizer on the left like a settings icon and when you click on thet the colors appear. Now its not there.
Try disabling all plugins. And check the user rights. If for some reason you do not have “Appearance/Theme Editor”, then the color editing function in Customizer will also be unavailable.
Thank you for the advice. The SiteGround Security plugin was a problem, i will check with them why when that is on these options don’t work.
Scrollex runs with Layers. Its asking me to update to Layers Pro and after I did that it stopped working.
You don’t need Layers Pro. All additional features are implemented in the theme itself. Skrollex only supports the free version of Layers. Layers Pro may only be useful for other themes.
Hi again, still didn’t get an answer about the best SEO plugin for Skrollex. I also would like to ask why in the demo in the contact section there’s a contact form (I can only see this [contact-form-7 id=”999999” title=”Skrollex”] and where there’s a button that takes you to google maps I can only see this sx_map button=»Locate Us On Map» latitude=»42.487606″ longitude=»-71.115661″ zoom=»14″ colors=»G»sx_map_marker text=»Our sales office» latitude=»42.485100″ longitude=»-71.113256″ Also looking at the theme on a mobile or tablet the main menu doesn’t appear as it’s in the same colour as the background. Sorry about all these questions.

Menu problems should not be with the default settings. Try disabling all plugins or give a link to the site, I’ll see what the reason is.
Hello x40, Having some issues with my Theme that I purchased from you. Getting this error “The “layers-widget-skrollex-section” block was affected by errors and may not function properly. Check the developer tools for more details.” Also upon opening the Dev tools in my browser this error showed up that is related “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()” I downloaded the Layers Updater (was successful) and installed it. I was then able to get into the OGLA Layers section to try and Style my site but the “Boxes” that should appear only have a spinning ball on them (like it’s loading). I’ve tried Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Look forward to hearing back from you. Love the theme except for this small issue.
Hi, I bought the HTML version and now I have got the Wordpress version (the one that I wanted) I have a few questions. Which SEO plugin do you recomennd? The menu on a smartphone has nothing to do with the one on a PC. Could you let me know why and how to change this?
The theme is only not tested with those third party plugins recommended upon activation, so I can’t recommend a specific plugin for SEO. Users have not reported problems with these plugins, I think most will work.
The menus on any device should be the same. They are configured in the admin panel, just like any WordPress menu. This is described in the documentation on the WordPress site.

If you unpack the downloaded archive, you should get a scrollex.zip and a documentation folder. What you have inside this archive? Make it sure that you correctly unpacked it.
Hi, I’m using your Skrollex theme for Wordpress and added a second page which i used the same Ruby theme as the main page. The navigation buttons from the first section at the top of the page don’t hide on scroll. Instead, they show behind the text in most colour options and hide between the more solid colours in each section as i scroll. Is there additional CSS or anything that i can enter to force the buttons to hide on scroll? I only noticed the issue happen after i had added a word from the page edit in the wordpress admin panel

I’m not sure if it’s something browser specific as when I’m in private mode on Safari, it doesn’t happen but still happens on Edge. I haven’t gotten to try Firefox and Chrome but the fact that it happens on one browser is enough to raise concern IMO. Mobile view is fine, but the desktop page is where i see it. On the following page:

This goes away if i change the colour to a solid black theme but that’s not what i wish to do, and it doesn’t happen on the main page. Scroll down more, the buttons are visible in the “Barney” section, again in the “Angie” section, you can see them in the next one, “Nancy” too, and “Nikita.” They disappear behind the more solid background of “Billy” and come back once again for “Mav:”
They're also visible in the final section titled "Other Useful Links."Any help to retain the colours of the sections but hide the buttons more successfully is fully appreciated. Thanks.Click on buttons shortcodes in editor and change “Float Bottom” to “Home B Buttons” via combo box on popup toolbar.
If an element is given a float position, then it stays in place and is covered by other sections as it scrolls. If the sections are transparent, then the element will be visible. So it’s better not to use floating elements if you have transparent sections.

Allso in tablet view I would like it to display two placeholders, then a linebreak, then a centered placeholder, another linebreak and then the last two placeholders. Is this something you could help me with?
