1. How can I use a background image for the header? I want the logo to be on top of that background image. I didn’t see anywhere in settings for that.

2. How can I change the theme width? It’s just too wide on my laptop. I have to set the browser magnification to 90% to get the proper look.

3. The images on the homepage are not all the same size. Some appear smaller than others. It throws off the look of the homepage just a bit. How can I make them all a uniform size?

Hi,

Carrino does not support header background images. You can set a body background that fills just the header though.

Appearance > Customize > Background Image

Thanks – Steve

The problem with that is that it changes the background of the entire website. This seems like a rather basic feature that all themes include. Is there no code that can be added to fix this? I’m not sure what to do other than try to remove the header and hardcode an image there – but that’ll probably break something.

Header background images are added to all of my themes in the next update. Until then you can simply add your background image with CSS;

I’m trying to get a small update out before the new year before a major update early in 2023

.site-header { background-image: url(https://www.url-to-your-media-file.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center center; }

Thanks – Steve

Hello,

Very interesting theme! One presale question, are you able to make nice pages with this theme or add content to the homepages? In the demo everything looks very template driven which is perfect for posts and archives and certain components but looking to also have flexibility for more content on home page, about page, etc.

Thank you!

Hi,

Carrino is primarily a blog theme. However Carrino is also a Gutenberg theme and supports all Gutenberg blocks. So if you can build your pages in Gutenberg Carrino will work with them.

I hope this helps

Thanks – Steve

Thumbnail Size: Landscape

I hope this helps

Thanks – Steve

I bought this theme today and was very excited about getting it installed. Unfortunately, I got an error in Step 2 (Demo Data) that I am unable to resolve. This was a fresh install of WP + Woo Commerce.

I tried uninstalling and starting from scratch again, but I continue to get the same error. I can’t progress past this step, which is disappointing. Can you help? The error is as follows:

Import tax rates Sorry, there has been an error. The CSV is invalid.

To clarify, I was trying to install the them on a fresh install of WP + WooCommerce, i.e., no other posts, images, etc. as clutter. The theme installs o.k. but I am completely unable to get the demo installed. I bought the theme specifically because I love the look of one of the demos, and I would like to upload it exactly as is and replace the demo content with my own.

Hi,

Carrino does not include any WooCommerce demo data only post/page demo data. So you can install the demo data but there’s no option to install a demo with Carrino (I’m working on demo installs for the next uddate). But the docs include a full setup guide for Demo 2 https://www.3forty.media/docs/carrino/#demosetup from that guide you can familiarize yourself with the settings and build any layout you want.

For Demo 8: with Demo 3 Hero/Featured Posts

Follow the guide. Skip hero settings (or disable Hero) or don’t install/activate the plugin if you are not using it.

Featured Posts:

Change Thumbnail Size to Portrait, Change Post Style to: Cover

Finally: Appearance > Customize > Carrino: Theme Settings > Homepage Settings: Post Loop Display type: Custom Post Blocks

Disable Sidebar.

Now head on over to: Appearance > Customize > 340 Media: Homepage Post Blocks > Post Block X. Enable block and configure as you like.

I hope this helps

Thanks – Steve

Hallo,

I have a problem. Failed to install template. It reports: The package in the form of a .zip file could not be installed. The template is missing a style.css file with cascading styles.

Can I actually import a real demo that’s fully populated without running through a laundry list of operations to make it look like a demo. It defeats the purpose if demos if you have to create them.

Hi,

I’m working on demo imports for Carrino. The purpose is/was to help familiarize the user with theme settings as at the time not many themes were using the Customizer panel for all theme options. Once familiar you can use the options to create your own layout and layout.

Now most themes have at least some Customizer options it’s not required anymore so I’m adding demo imports.

Thanks – Steve

Hello, my Woocommerce plugin does not work on mobile for my customers.. could you assist in figuring out what the issue is?

Can you share a link so I can take a look? 3fortymedia@gmail.com

I’ve just installed this theme and I like it, but some content in a single post is a few pixels to the left of the text. For instance the Table of contents box and some embedded ads via HTML – there are some dots slightly out of the frame. How do I fix that? I can’t attach screenshots here…

Hi,

Can you share a link to your site so I can see the issue 3fortymedia@gmail.com

Thanks – Steve

Hi, How to add 404 Error page?

Hi!

Recently, I changed the hosting of my website, and now Wordpress doesn’t work very well. These are the issues detected: 1. I can’t change anything from the theme (Carrino). 2. I can’t create new posts. 3. I can’t receive comments.

Please, do you know if the problem is the theme? Maybe I have to do something to activate it in the new hosting?

Thanks!!

Hi,

You will need to contact your web host. It sounds like a domain propagation or database issue.

Thanks – Steve

Hello, I am trying to create pages without the “title” filed out. I don’t like how it looks at the top of every page. However, if I get rid of it, my page is titled as “untitled” is there a way to circumvent the title?

Hi,

Yes, you can do that with CSS:

.the-post .page .entry-title { display:none; }

I hope this helps?

Thanks – Steve

Hi, I Have already have my website running well and can we use this theme on that?

Yes of course. Carrino works with all of your existing Gutenberg and classic editor content.

Thanks – Steve

Hello! I had a question about the theme. Is there any way for me to update the font in the theme? I would love a more feminine font if that is possible. Thank you!

Hello Steve,

on my website there is a problem with the Core Web Vitals and there with the Cumulative Layout Shift (in the desktop view – mobile everything is perfect). I’ve been trying to figure out where this is coming from and I think it’s the header menu.

There, the size of the logo changes when scrolling and thus also the size / height of the menu bar. Is it possible to prevent this so that the size of the logo and the height of the menu always remain the same, even when scrolling?

Thank you so much!

Best regards, Malte

Try this:

@media (min-width: 1061px) { header.site-header.sticky-nav.fixed .logo-in-menu .custom-logo, header.site-header.sticky-nav.fixed.logo-left-menu-right .custom-logo { max-width: 100%; } header.site-header.sticky-nav.fixed .logo-in-menu .custom-logo-link, header.site-header.sticky-nav.fixed.logo-left-menu-right .custom-logo-link { font-size: var(--logo-font-size); } }

Thanks – Steve

Hi,

I’d like to increase the default content font size on my posts. How do I do this? I couldn’t find it in the Customization settings or the documentation.

Thanks, Arnold

Hi,

You can do that with CSS:

.the-post .single-post .entry-content:not(.custom-excerpt), .the-post .page .entry-content { font-size: 1.125rem; }

Change to whatever you need.

Thanks – Steve

The price of this theme was $39. Why $59 now?

Thanks – Steve

When will the discount be again?

I have no plans to offer another discount.

Thanks – Steve
