Hi there! Long time user of your theme. When using Templates 3 and 4, there’s no map icon for users to toggle if they want to search via the map. Is there a workaround for this? I love both the style of 3 and 4, less intrusive to the eye imo. Is there anyway of adding the map icon toggle to these templates?

Those two template don’t include the map section. It would require modifying theme files to achieve that.

Hi, one of my clients is using this theme.
I’m optimizing their SEO. Permalinks in this theme are NOT optimized. For any taxonomy, you’ll have a slug /ex-slug/, but for the child-taxonomies, you will have also another slug /ex2-slug/, meaning the slugs don’t show the parent category and there is no option to change this (ex. mywebsite.com/listings/ex-slug/ex2-slug/post, this doesn’t work).
Also, taxonomies are applied to all the listings, and then you add some filters to it so explore page don’t show them. This is a seo error too because we can’t make this type of permalinks mycars.com/cars/ex-tax, you will always have mycars.com/category/ex-tax
there is no way to create a page for taxonomies archives and you’re forced to add a slug base.
Ex. mywebsite.com/my-categories/cat1 - this works fine, but remove cat1, and you will get a 404 error instead an categories archive page
Hello, after new update WP Rocket and its Delay javascript files is not compatible. See the images here https://imgur.com/a/p2gmWDn We had to switch to Defer JS which is not what we need. The tabs in the listings are again loaded and showed below all the information on the listing page. Even reviews, some search, woocommerce etc. Even though it’s disabled in the listing settings. In the WP Editor? WordPress only allows that button for admins, we don’t have a solution for that.
Also, how can I switch from the visual editor to the HTML editor? In the past, this option was available. The listings I have currently have both images and content, but I am unable to add images or HTML to the listings.

Yes it is done but when a user wants to see their bookmarks it apears Error 404:

The other thing that can cause the issue is if you’re using a translation plugin (e.g. Loco Translate) and you’ve translated the my-bookmarks string. In that case you need to add the translation in the link of the bookmark link. Check if that’s the case.

No that’s not available. When you click on a category or region however the url will be */category/category-name/ or */region/region-name/. Example from our demo: https://main.mylistingtheme.com/region/london/

I have a questions about API calls after the longitude and latitude of the listing is saved in the listing.
When someone searches for a nearby listing on a phone, does that make another call from my Google API or is it from their phone IP?
I’m just wondering if a lot of phone traffic looks up nearby listings if that would increase my costs with API calls to Google. OR is the API call only when I create the listing.

Listing coordinates are stored once when the listing is created, and no additional API calls are made for it.
When searching for listings, API calls are made when the user uses the Location filter to type their address or search for a specific address to narrow results down to. Once the address is selected, there are no additional API calls needed to perform the search, it’s all done on data stored on your website already.

So to be clear, API calls are when i create a listing AND when a user searches for a listing based on their location proximity.
The user on phones will be sent to the search page which will filter the listings to the proximity of the user on the phone
API calls are made whenever you use the location filter. When you’re on the phone and filter by proximity a call is made to get your location.

When I try to display the company name (listing 1) in the preview card of listing 2 and 3, I got the listing ID. It works great in the single page : https://connect.loirevalley.co/explore/?type=formations&sort=ajoutes-recemment

Since the update -
The location does not save when adding listings. They’re no pins on the map. No location on the single page listing.
We then try to edit the listing > front + back end > enter location again > even lock the pin > This still doesn’t work.
We did also try regenerating preview cards, and removing old data.
[ resolved by logging out / in ] created a post on the forum

1. We can’t give you admin access. For a normal user you can create an account with a test email.
2. The theme allows you to create two different types of users, you can name them anything you want.
