BuddyPress Follow. The last update of this plugin was… 7 years ago (2015). Currently, it causes critical errors, and you install it by default in selected demos (YouTube). This significantly lowers the level of security. Apart from the fact that BuddyPress is one of the worst plugins in the WP repository, e.g. with reviews like this that are 100% accurate:

Hi Jnews -

We purchased a while back but our support ran out. We’ve NEVER asked for any support.

The problem is the video gallery on the homepage has NEVER worked.

Also, the drop down menu with thumbnails on the category menus has also NEVER worked.

Also, we can’t find where to change the font color of the links on the articles/posts pages.

TBH there has been SO MANY BUGS it’s frustrating. It has not worked well at all.

So we’re going to ask your help for the first time. Thanks.

After updating my theme to 10.8.2, my site isn’t working again. After several attempts, the JNews Essential Plugin doesn’t install. I keep seeing this message on the homepage:
