I uploaded the theme then activated it and installed all the required plugins for it. Then I imported the demo data from appearance. It imported successfully but then nothing appears on the page. Its all blank pages that come from the demo data of the theme.
Can you share a link to your site?
Try this;
Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
If you see the demo.dat or xml file in there. Remove it and upload your own logo.

I noticed that the side share buttons on a post are only visible, when “display sidebar” is turned off. It this normal?
That’s correct, to save space side share buttons are not visible when using the sidebar.
This may change when I release the next major update.

Well I tried with the firefox pinterest function (that gives an option to pin a photo from a webpage to pinterest) But that does work.

Hi! Just purchased your theme yesterday and already loving how much I can do with it but I have quite a few issues that I am hoping you can help me with.
1. I am trying to put a pic of myself for the “about me” widget that goes on the side and I can’t get it to work with this theme. I have tried even using a media and text widget but that’s not working either. I’ve seen 2 bloggers that have this widget working fine so I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
2. Is there any way to change the color of the main navigation (not the sticky header)
3. I have no idea what “post blocks” are for because they aren’t working even when I enable the block.
4. Is there a way to change and increase the font? I’ve tried to use the custom CSS code you gave someone else (to increase menu font size) but that’s not working either.
5. When I try to edit a specific widget using shift-click it doesn’t do anything at all.
Sorry that it’s so much stuff but I am just trying to get it to look a certain way

Thanks for your message.
1. Ruki does not include an “about me” widget so I’m assuming this is a third party widget. Can you share a link so I can see what the issue might be?
2. The header colour setting affects the entire header. You can then set an alternative sticky header background that is triggered when the header “sticks” after scrolling down the page in Appearance > Customize > Ruki: Color Settings > Header Colors
If you want to change the just the primary nav background without changing the header you would need some custom CSS for the specific header you are using. What header layout are you using?
3. You need to enable post block in theme settings. Here’s a short video for one of my discontinued themes that shows how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htoDfBp4G7A
4. Do you just want to increase primary menu font size?
5. Ruki widgets use content escaping (for security) on all widgets, I’ll modify this in the next update to re-enable selective refresh of Ruki widgets

Hi! Thanks for replying back to me.
I have attached a screenshot about what I am talking about with the “about me” widget at the bottom. This is what I am trying to get in my homepage and I see no way to put it.
I also followed the video you sent to help me with the post block but like I said, it isn’t working. Since you said it is from an older themes, there are things that shows up in the video that isn’t in the post block setting so that isn’t working either. The post block setting is enabled and nothing is showing up.
I am using Demo 7.
And yes, I would like to increase the font size of the menu only. Where exactly to do I put the custom code and how?

This isn’t a widget it’s the author page header set to display inside the loop rather than at the top of the page.
It takes the author avatar, social sites and bio and dispays them as you see.
Users > profile
Set you social media urls, bio and avatar
Appearance > Customize > Ruki: Theme Settings > Archive/Category Settings: Archive Header
Set position and toggle elements.
It looks like you have set specific posts in the block settings but have not entered your post ID’s. Change the post type to Recent Posts and thay will show your recent posts. If you want to use Post ID’s enter a comma separated list if post IDs in the post ID’s field.
Demo 7 does not use post blocks, but if you want to use them; Appearance > Customize > Ruki: Theme Settings > Homepage Settings > Post Loop Display Type: Custom Post Blocks.
Then set you blocks as you like.
Custom CSS goes in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
.primary-nav li {
font-size: 0.875rem;
}
Change size to whatever you need.

It seems there is a bug with the Posts Widget. When I chose the option Specific Posts and select some writing their ID, it just doesn’t work, and random posts are being randomly picked at each refresh. Could you please fix it, or if I do something wrong, to tell me how to proceed? Thank you

Post ID’s should be comma separated (E.g. 153,79,125) and select “Specific posts” as the post type. That’s all you need to do.

I just installed the Ruki demo and imported the demo data (demo7). Now, the top header menu is very large (see screenshot): https://ibb.co/5ktK2tQInstead of having all menu items in one line, they are suddenly arranged below each other. I did not configure this on purpose. How can I fix this?

Have you installed data via one of the demos using One Click Demo Install? Depending on your server limits it may time out or abort demo data if the data exceeds your maximum upload or execution time.

That’s the classic/legacy search widget. There is an update coming that adds support for more of the block widgets (inc the search block).

Hi, pre sales query. I’m checking the demos. It appears that the entire page loads at once. Like entire content is being lazy loaded. Can this be changed to disable lazy loading?

Lazyload is now part of WP core (since wp5.5). There are some plugins available that disable it although I have not tried them. Ruki uses native WP lazyload and only loads media/images when the content is in the viewport..
