My site – yaabot[dot]com gets splashed with a white screen overlay and a random icon on the top right if I click at any point on the screen. I’ve disabled several plugins and cleared the cache, but this hasn’t changed the result.

You must have a review enabled in the post, that is showing your current score. Edit the post and disable the review if it isn’t needed.

I’m not 100% sure what you’re referring to exactly, I think you might be talking about WordPress Full Site Editing? If so, that is something that is unrelated to normal themes. It is a new WordPress system but is very early and not recommended for live sites yet. You can’t create powerful sites with it yet.

A year ago I bought this theme but I didn’t get to use it. Now I’m looking at the possibility of using it in a project. But, I have to ask, is it still compatible with Wordpress 6.1.1? Is there any upcoming update on the roadmap or should I look for another option?

Yes, you can definitely use it on WordPress 6.1.1. Zeen is one of the few well coded themes that actually just works and doesn’t break with every WordPress update

Video Player. The only way to setup this works with source = format. If i take source = post there is only limited content to find and a search does not find any of the post items i look for. And there is no way to setup a second video Player. Can not manage to use more than 1 video Player?

Zeen is definitely still supported, have no worries there
The next update is on the way, however, it’s important to know that Zeen is one of the few well coded themes that doesn’t break with every WordPress update. The reason many other themes have to release lots of updates is because they break every time WordPress updates.

After all – one of the best themes for newspaper, the documentation is not well documented as said. Tons of possibilites, but no description for example did not find anything about adverts details… Where is the ton? I do not get promo slider working, simply not showing up. Also did not find any docs even within editor it says so: read the docs… The zeen doc page ist horrible to read very limited and has no search. Same for review system – did not understand demos as well. Seems written for Nerds only…

Hmm, I have never used that plugin so have no idea how good it is. It seems to create a custom post block. But it uses Visual composer plugin, which is very old, so I have a feeling this plugin is outdated. So I’m afraid I don’t think I would recommend using that plugin.

I found it eventually, it was a text in the widget in the slideout menu (non mobile) which I was not using hence I couldnt find where it was. I deleted all the widgets.

Why is the latest Zeen version padding my Mark Elements, which is causing bad spacing? This is what it’s doing: mark {background:#eee; padding: 3px 5px;}
When I try to override it in Custom CSS it doesn’t work (reviewing the website elements show both). I can’t find anywhere in Zeen to set/fix/update this. It’s causing all colored text to appear with bad spacing.
This is from style.min.css?ver=4.2.4
Note I manually edited the file and removed the padding and it’s fixed now; but not sure why it was added in the first place.

You should be able to override via the Custom CSS option, try adding !important right before the trailing ; to force it through.

Hello dear Codetipi, i want to purchase ZEEN but i have an issue i would love to ask about before deciding whether to or not to buy when i click on article on the demo, i get the article open but as i scroll down and the article comes to an end, i automatically bumps into another article and as i scroll down i reach another one and that goes endlessly i can’t even reach the footer as articles are open in one line … what i see in most websites is when i click on a title, i get that exact title open and that’s it, and if i want an other article i will have to click on its title and so on … could you please tell me if it’s possible to go against this and have the title opens alone without having all other articles of the websites hang on one rope. thank you.

Yes, you can 100% disable that feature if you don’t want it on your site. It’s a simple on/off option in the theme options.

that’s sad. i waited long enough with zero reply from your side. So, i purchased another theme. reconsider checking your potential customers’ queries.
No problem, hope the other theme fulfils your needs. When it eventually doesn’t, I hope you check out Zeen again and consider upgrading to it
Sadly, Tipi does not work on fresh customer installation, even without plugins…. Minimum Requirements are all there… By the way, the handling of tipi was much better in earlier versions…
Surprised that it is not possible to use tipi on posts… Some lack of tutorials? Or just a bug which costs me many hours to find out its not normal? The customer is not amused, but wanted to use zeen…

hi , woocommerce files are outdated , when will the updated files be available? zeen/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 3.8.0 is out of date. The core version is 7.0.1,

No need to worry, it’s just a warning notice, as WooCommerce can’t know if the custom template is incompatible. It’s 100% fine though so you can ignore it. Although the notice will not appear in the next update.
