I have got 3 questions :
1. How to update? within shopify if possible. Are we gonna lose the content if we update the theme?
2. How to make changes in the theme in staging? Don’t want to publish but want to make changes and publish the changes later. Is it achieved by creating a duplicate theme and making changes to the duplicate file?
3. Is it possible to import a new demo on the duplicated theme?

How to update theme without losing content?
I’ve tried updating the theme via Shopify and get the following alert ‘Updates are not supported for uploaded themes If you want to take advantage of theme updates, you need to install a theme from the theme store. When I upload the theme from the theme store the theme defaults to original default demo page content.
How do I fix this?

Hello Since i update to the latest version when browse any collection and click on page number 2 it loads same products for first page if i click any other page number it keeps loading first page items

Will demo content after purchase will be present? the pages, images and all else, similar with a WP install of demo?
All demos and templates will be exactly like we show in our item description.
What i mean is importing demo content, is it even possible on shopify? Because prior to purchasing we are not seeing any option of that.

Thanks. I’m still not sure if we can IMPORT the demo data similar to how it works in WP (without the images as u said).
Also, we are waiting for the WP version refund still..
We have bought the product here again. The documentation data is so different then what’s in reality in Shopify or the new Foxify app. Where to validate the theme license on the new foxify dashboard? and choosing themes.

Good theme. Before I purchase I want to know how to add collection description at the end of the page – not at top. Also, how to show sold out products at the bottom.

You can use metafields to show the collection description at the end of the page: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/custom-data/metafields.
We don’t have any option to display sold-out products at the bottom/end of the product list yet. Hopefully, we will have such a feature soon!

Hello, what can we do to help you?
Sometimes one just needs to add static tabs or accordions without it being all about a product or pulled from a page. Just information like on ingredients and other general info. Can this be done with your theme? I don’t need a tab section that deals with the product, but a tab we can add an image and some text…simple.

Hey, guys. I want to remove country and state from cart drawer. because I just need to show the zip code. For a moment I will only sell to one country. Shipping is based on zip code. The country and state field is unnecessary. What’s the best way to show only zip code in cart drawer? I just need the country and state field to be shown at checkout not in the cart drawer.

Hi, I really need to add product subtitle all over. As far as I can tell I need to create a metafield and add some custom code in several places. Is this the case with this theme too, or have you found an easier way to handle this? I cant believe there isn’t an App for this yet. Scrolling all the way down to add a subtitle is quite ridiculous.

Support expired…ok but you guys should fix the product page layout for variant. Only 3 out of 7 layouts work well for the variants. For the others the price does not change and the buy button becomes grey

Also can you add an author byline to the blog section? I find it odd that in the WordPress Minimog version there is a byline or “author box” but in the Shopify version there isn’t… basically this https://apps.shopify.com/author-signature-by-lfs
It’s a staple of blogging to have a section for the author listed along with the proper author schema markup. I’m actually amazed no one has mentioned this before and would be a massive improvement to the theme and its not too hard to code into the liquid theme.

I’m not sure why you advertise that the speed is fast because when I run any of the demos through Googles Page Speed Insight tool it fails all of them. I love this theme but kind of concerned with the speed being so slow / affecting SEO.

Yes thank you and please do fix this because marketers (SEOs) can easily tell if a site is indeed optimized or not.. it’s almost like false advertising if it says its “optimized” and then it’s not. Looking forward to the update!

Hello, I checked the autoplay option. The video has autoplay ok, but when inserting the Vimeo link in the Minimog theme, the Vimeo share and play/pause buttons appear. My Vimeo link is already out of share and play/pause options. Nice theme. Is the theme and/or FoxKit able to detect a users location and set the currency and language automatically? Or are the currency and language drop downs manual only?
If no, what add on are you using in your demos for the currency and language switchers? They go well with the theme and I’d like to use them together.

Regarding your question, FoxKit and Minimog are unable to detect a users location and set the currency and language automatically.
1. You will need to use a third-party app to translate, we only support displaying the language selector.
2. You can set up the currency selector in Shopify Markets settings.
3. If you want to change the currency and language to users location, you can use this Shopify app https://apps.shopify.com/geolocation
