Just purchased the theme.
BY doing some changes in theme settings, I lost comments. How can I get them back?
Is there a way to show social icons in the header instead of the share dropdown?

The theme doesn’t have the option to disable comments – it’s a built-in WordPress feature. You can enable and disable comments globally under Settings > Discussion, or individually for each post in the right sidebar when in edit mode.
Regarding your other question – the social icons can only be displayed as a dropdown in this theme.

Hi, very much considering purchasing this them, Can it be used without Jquery? Is there a layout etc that does not have it built in? Trying to get 100% page scores.

Thanks for showing interest in our theme. Currently, this is not possible because some of the core functionality of the theme is using jQuery. You can try and modify JS files and use native JS, which is only necessary for your website but would require significant modifications.
On the other hand page score is one of 2000 ranking factors so I would make page fast but I wouldn’t chase for 100/100. I would focus more on content and backlinks of the website.

I believe you are referring to a static page. Yes, you can choose not to use the theme’s built-in homepage template, but rather a static page with any content you like.

Unfortunately, the new Elementor Pro does not cooperate with Tirx theme in some important part. For example the Gallery module does not work with this theme. I have open a ticket to Elementor support for that an they have proved me that with any other theme, the modules works perfectly well, here is some problem.

Hi there – trying to update my blog to PHP 8.1, but ` wp php-compat—php_version=8.1` and ` wp php-compat—php_version=8.0` are showing this theme as failing the compatibility check. Any ideas how to fix or when this will be updated to work with modern PHP (or if it already does). I have Version: 1.2 but I don’t see which is latest.

That’s excellent news! Thanks for the comment! From what I can see, bbPress works almost perfectly out of the box. It needs some minor CSS tweaking. Maybe have a dedicated theme page included to allow the sidebar. It should be fairly east to accomplish.

I just realize in theme options > Posts section, i choose “Posts section chooses from > Latest posts, the posts in this section do not display the latest posts that i just created. Could you please explain how this section display posts.

Nice theme, i am trying your test version, but it would be nice if layout B should have year meta, currently post date only has day and month, without year. Is there any part in your theme that can turn on year meta for posts.

For each layout you can turn on the date meta under Theme Options > Post Layouts. The date meta displays the year as well.

sorry, it is not the meta entry, it is post date, As i inspected the web code, then i can see the post-date, post-date-day, post-date-month, but no post-date-year. I want to turn on the post-date-year. I can’t find the post-date-year in css too. Is there any way to have post-date-year available on your theme option or i have to customize it after purchasing.

Hello! I wanted to find out how to have non-picture and picture posts to co exist. Now I’ve seen the global and per post settings however I’m unable to find how to set an image to be the posts link image without the Capital letters from appearing.

I think I might have caused confusion, lets say that I have 10 posts, I want 5 of the posts to have the dropcap lettering and another 5 to have the featured image instead of dropcap. Without having to alter the code of the theme how do I accomplish that?

If you are trying to display a combination of a drop cap letter and featured image in a post listing, there is no such option. You can choose to enable or disable drop caps and/or featured images globally, for all the posts in the listing.
The option is available on a single post view, but not on the post listings.

Also I picked up some issues with the header on a physical device (Samsung S10+), when scrolling down the website (triggering the change in header, to the point where the new header arrives), I saw that if I decide to change direct (go up) there’s a gap that appears between the top of the screen. I tried to replicate in a browser at smaller resolutions and it doesn’t show this effect. The mobile browser used was chrome..
