Let me clarify, to make series of videos and images for the background you can mix both of them (video and image) right? And This is applied as a series?
Or only Images can be grouped and only One Video Per Page can Be applied?
I was planning to loop several videos and images on the home page background. how do I go about that?
And I also would be nice if there is a hide/unhide button for the content area so if people watch videos etc on the home, they can hide the content…

Also I dont know if this is a bug or not, on the latest WP version 3.5 when I click upload on the themes options page for images (the grey upload button) nothing happens.
For the backgrounds you can’t mix videos and images. Videos will be shown instead of images. Images can be grouped, videos are one per page.
We will add a button to hide the website to watch videos in full screen in the next version.

Okay thanks, let me know, as I thought I can cycle through videos. Anyway, will find a run-around for that feature.
Next follow-up question. When I set the background to a certain video, it works okay on all major desktop browsers, but on mobile browsers, the video doesn’t play anymore (i.e. android, iOS) have you tested this theme feature on mobile browsers? If the video doesn’t work, is there a way to have a default image there when they load it on mobile browsers so that the video is replaced by an image instead?

We did test the background video on mobiles and tablets and decided it was better to disable the video and use background images instead. The theme will use your set background images on mobile instead of video.

I can confirm the WP 3.5 bug with the uploader. I’ll release a new update with the fix, I’ll try and get the full screen video mode into this update too.

Okay, will let you know if I find other bugs. Let me know via PM if you have the update roll-in as it prevents me from loading a default BG for mobile browsers. If you have instructions on how I can set a default BG manually let me know too.
I can’t PM on this site. Still working on the update, but I can give you the fix for the uploader now. In the file /admin/js/plugins.js lines 35-42 is the jQuery Actual plugin, if you replace this code with the latest version from here it will fix the problem.

Hi, One small bug found (if it is a bug). When I set up a default background image, it works fine, it loads fine. Then when I leave the window to work on another window tab on the browser, then go back to the same page, the background image seems to disappear?
What browser, browser version and OS are you using?

Additional question (couldn’t find it on the Documentation), on the Portfolio page, once I add video items, you have to manually set an image for the thumbnail using the featured image correct? It doesn’t add the video thumbnail automatically right? (Just clarifying in case I missed something)
On the same page, I have another bug (if it is a bug) when I set on the portfolio page to display for example 5-columns, the page displays 4-columns instead of 5, so when you select 3-columns it displays 2 so on and so forth. I think it is a padding or container width issue easily remedied by a global CSS change, however I want to run this through you guys first if it is a native issue or isolated to my own install…

Yes, you will need to add the thumbnails manually for videos.
It does sound like a padding or width issue, it doesn’t happen for us though. If you see the demo site all columns are correct. If you can send us a link to the page we can help you diagnose the problem.

Thannks for the offer, will send you link to the page when Im done with it. Just to clarify the issue, it’s limited to the default theme when set to the page. Then since the default width of the container is around 640px or something and the image width is around 220 for the 5 column, it doesn’t fit correctly and fits only 4. I did a workaround on this by assigning a bigger width to the container.
Just a follow-up for the disappearing background bug, it only happens btw if you only set a single image. For the slideshow the only bug is on first load sometimes the image gets pushed a little to the bottom then when it cycles it expands okay.
Been satisfied with the theme so far and have extended it to what I would like it to look like.
Just following-up, have you found the issue with the disappearing background? It also exist on a default clean install.
Another Bug Report, on Mobile Browser, I can report it works okay, except the videos on the background will revert to the default background images. There is an error when setting groups for background images possibly because wordpress updated their media management system.
Lastly, one Mobile bug is that when on the Portfolio page, the background images instead of fading in and out and smoothly transitioning, they seem to render line by line. It doesn’t happen on other pages though…
Just a side-note. Is there any way I can promote your Theme using an Affiliate Link? And then am I allowed to offer Customization of your theme for those who plan to purchase it?
I haven’t yet been able to replicate the problem with the disappearing background, but I will investigate again. I’ll look into the other problems also.

Just to help with the issues.
BUG1: Disappearing Single Background and Erratic Slideshow (related to disappearing BG)
1. Tested on Safari, IE6,7, FF 17.01, Chrome 2. It’s No Big Deal but it’s there. Sometimes the BG just goes Black. 3. Happens if you open the site on a Tab, Go to another Tab for a while and then get back to the Tab and BG disappears, I think it’s a cache issue.
BUG2: Group Images Theme Options Panel Consistent Error on Upload of Grouped Images, Works Okay on Single Upload Images on the First option BG one by one, Therefore Unable to use setting a group of images on the posts backgrounds. So only runaround is to upload one by one on each post.
1. On WP 3.5 haven’t tested on other WP version, must be related to the change of WP to their Media Upload System.

Thanks for the links and inputs. I actually like the background video extension and the way the admin panel is organized but I plan to re-do the whole navigation, look and the content that overlays the video.
Basically what I need from the theme is the background capabilities. I want to put my own spin on top of it. Thanks for the input, I will run through my check on what I can do with your excellent theme before I finalize a purchase.

Yes, you can change the credits to whatever you like. You can do this easily in the Theme Options panel – Footer – Footer left column content.
Yes, you can do as you please with the theme – there are no restrictions. But you might want to read the license agreement.

The TimThumb script that is used to generate the thumbnail images does not work well with URLs containing the ~ character, can you use a different development domain?

Hi, This theme is great, but is there a way to make it play the background music continously, after someone clicks another link?
The thing is that now, the music can be played in the background as long as I stay on the same page. Once I go to another page the music is reloaded and starts over. I need to play the music in the background continously without reloading it after clicking another link. Can you please help me out with this? Thanks in advance.
This would require that the page content is loaded via Ajax so that the page does not reload. The theme doesn’t have any options to make this happen. There may be some other plugins that give you this functionality, if you search for “ajax page loader” there are a few plugins to try. It’s unlikely that content that requires JavaScript such as portfolio/gallery/tabs/accordions will work if they are loaded in via Ajax, but if you have a simple site with text only it should be fine.

Quick question, similar to the person who posted above…
I would like to change the main navigation bar, the footer bar, and the body content area from black/dark to something lighter.
Is there an easy way to just change a couple color codes which will make the changes global across all my pages?
In the Theme Options>Global>Colors… There is the option to edit 4 different color codes, but no option to update the black nav bars to something else.
Please let me know how or where to do this.

Each page adds a body class such as “page-id-839” where 839 is the unique page ID. Each menu item has a unique id attribute such as “menu-item-919”. So you can use both of these in a CSS selector to change the color for the specific page. For example
.page-id-839 #menu-item-919 a {
color: red;
}This would set the menu item 919 red, only on page 839. You can find the body classes and menu item IDs using the browser inspect tool when on the page. You can add this CSS to the theme options panel at Advanced -> Custom CSS .

Are you sure this is Wordpress? 
- Could you please tell me whether the galleria gallery layout is using the default galleria theme? or is it using a layout you have applied?
- Can the Galleria photo gallery layout support sub-albums? or perhaps sub-sub-albums?
- Possible new idea: Checkout SFPG and then allow us to simply upload files to folders to be automatically processed – thumbnails automatically created, etc, etc, etc. This would mean the hierarchy of folders and directories would form the Gallery and Sub-Galleries and Sub-Sub-Galleries… You get the point
Please let me know if this is at all feasible – in order to save hours and hours manually uploading and creating albums in Wordpress.

1. The galleria gallery is the default galleria theme.
2. I’m not sure about this, I haven’t seen this before. You’ll be able to do whatever is possible with the Galleria script.
3. Actually the images used for the Galleria do not need to be part of the WordPress media library and they can be hosted anywhere. See if you look at the galleria page in the demo and click “Get code”, you’ll see that you just need a list of image URLs. Galleria creates the thumbnails itself. So you could use SFPG to upload images to use here.

You can set the texture globally in Appearance – Theme Options – Backgrounds – Style – Background overlay – Select none.
FYI : You can can also do this for each page in Edit Page – Storm Options – Background settings – Background overlay.

Thanks TC, i dont want to hide background. i want to hide content so people can see video. i am just after the same function that you use on background images to show hide front content with a close button on top. I only want that to be shown next to video controls so people can click and hide my content and watch full video and then click on close to bring back the content on page.
There isn’t an option for this, but I can make it possible in the next update.

There isn’t any way built in to the theme to show or hide the background video. If you can give me more information on exactly what you want to happen I can see if there is an easy way to do it.
To add a footer popup box, go to Appearance -> Widgets in the WordPress admin, and add a widget to the “Footer Popup Boxes” area.

How easy is it to add the template to a word press installation, is it just uploading it to the site as a zip file, or does it need a lot of modification to work? i mean other than background images, how easily install-able is it?

Hi, the template is not responsive and has not designed to be. You could make it responsive but it will be a lot of work and unfortunately it wouldn’t be something we could do. However we will be launching a responsive theme at some point.

As per my comment on the html version ->I’d like to reposition the search drop down within my menu bar. I can only see the calls for the hooks but can’t find where the search dropdown is implemented. Could you shed some light on where I can find it. I purchased this template yesterday. Thanks
If you open the file storm/includes/theme.php and search for tcr_primary_menu() you will end up at the PHP function that generates the menu and search. The search is in the lower half of the code.
