Hi, I bougth the theme Big Bang wordpress and I’m not happy… I just want a very simple website but nothing works properly :
1 I’can’t have my team list edition on 3 columns.
2 The video from Vimeo does’t work on the blog part (the theme doesn’t play them).
3 The footer comes in the middle of my page when I’don’t have a lot of information on it.
4 Icon boxes don’t align correctly as they doing in your demo.
5 the top lign touch the feature image, the widget or the text. (It wasn’t the case with your older version).
I’ tried with your last update but it doesn’t change anything. (I tried with a webmaster and he told me that I really have to write you to fix that).
I really hope you will help me to fix all that.

Hi! I am still having problem with the portfolio category. Thumbnails on my portfolio page does not appear at all. I added all my portfolio pictures with the portfolio shortcode. Culd you take a look at this. My client waits for this for a couple of days now.

Have you inserted portfolio shortcode and selected category with your items.
You have to insert only one shortcode. You have to organize portfolio categories like it’s described in the help file (one parent, and subcats with items)
So sorry to bother again but I inserted one shortcode named Categories and added subcats named Radio, Design, etc… Still not working…

few questions: How do I change the text “Tag Archive for…” > http://laakea.fi/tag/himmeli/ How do I change the text “Send Message” at the contact page? I’d prefer it’s in finnish, like all the other texts. Portfolio: I have different portfolios for different design areas: Products, Interiors.. and all these categories sum up in References. When I’m on, for example, page “Tuotteet” (products) and click some of the items and then click “next”, it doesn’t show next item on that page but next item of all items (References/parent page). Is it possible to change that? It’s a bit confusing for my clients like when they are looking through products and suddenly they are on interior page.
Hope you understand what I mean, this whole WP is new for me and my english, well…

this theme is translation ready. Google about that and how to create Finish .po file (there is default English .po file in folder bigbangwp/languages)
Are you talking about Next/Prev arrows on pop-up slider on portfolio page, or for Next/Prev arrows on the left hand side on portfolio single item?
On slider you can’t do what you want
On single portfolio item arrows go to next/prev item from the same category.
I hope that makes sense…
I’ve updated wordpress or v. 3.5 and updated the theme to v. 1.7.7 and I’m still having issues with the shortcodes dropdown, nothing happens when I click an item and it says “javascript:;void()” in the lower right hand portion of the screen.
I want to add my most recent blog posts onto my homepage using the portfolio shortcode but I can’t figure out how to find the correct category ID or to limit the number of posts that appear (to have 3 most recent instead of all)?

In Posts->Categories, mouse over the category name and check the status bar and find parameter with ID…

How do you setup the slider like you have on the main page of the demo? To be clear, I already have content and am not interested in duplicating your exact demo content. I simply want to know how to create a slider in like that in this theme.
I would also like to know how to change the default “Title” that appears in my blog. For the other pages I can name them as I wish and even change them in the options but the blog defaults to the overall Title of my site in the main settings. How can I change that to just say something else, like “Blog” for instance?

If you’re using Latest post as frotn page reading setting, you can’t have the slider there. You have to create page (where you can show posts from some category) and add Extra images. After that you have to change Reading settings and set it to Static page.
You have to use PAGE for showing posts if you want to change title.
I hope this makes sense…

I am having one slight problem that I cant figure out how to fix. The “back to portfolio” button does not return you to the portfolio when you click on it, it refreshes the current page of the portfolio item instead of taking you back to see all the portfolio items.

since the version 1.3 you can use both “normal” and portfolio categories.
It’s working just fine on your website, but you don’t have featured image set for “diagonismoi sthn ellada test post” so nothing is shown…

Is there a way to put a big play button when you hover over “each video” in the portfolio to get it to play, also, there’s some confusion on the bottom right with the “paper clip” which takes you to the specific porfolio item, and the “magnifind glass” which pops up an image that you have then click on to play video…trying to make showcasing videos as simple as possible. Any thoughts?

These 2 icons can be confusing for some users, but these users are not that dull and they’ll figure it out
I have found the gallery issue. For the other people that have an picture in the featured image and want to add an gallery. First choose your image for the featured image, you need to go to the tab media and insert the picture. Than you go to your post or page and set the featured image. After this you can add pictures for your gallery in the post or page.
Further I had some questions:
1. An black line above the menubar. I want an button over there: Magazine, Shop (not yet, but I want it to add one my own in the backend) and contact button. There need to be an roll over on the button. When you go with your mouse you will see an line.
2. a build in gallery for under the menu and above the posts. when you click on the menu, you see the name of the menu. I have Wordpress content slide. Where can I add this:

This is another mobile question from me. My slider (done via the themes feature image with 1 extra image) on my homepage rocks on both my Ipad and desktop. I love it. But, on the mobile it resizes it and makes it way to small.
My question: 1. Is there a way via the css to just make the picture bigger. I have tried a number of ways but i always get junk (chnages made to the flexslider ccs) 2. if this is not possible then for mobile (320px) can I just insert 1 picture and make it big. Either via the ccs or some other way I hope.

smallest screen size we’ve made it responsive is 320px If you’re using some older mobile you should turn it to horizontal orientation.
I’ve just checked it on my iPhone and slider looks just fine…

Man you a quick to respond. Awesome for me! Anyway, just a few points to add. 1. Yes. The slider is working as expected it looks fine but i want the slider to be more predominate so it is easier to see. The portfolio shortcode feature image(which are linked to blogs) are more predominate than the slider image which is a problem for me 2. Therefore, my question above should be stated clearer. Is there a way two make this slider image bigger for mobile devices. Either through the css or by inserting 1 image that is larger (therefore not using the slider). The second option is something I am will to do to get a higher impact for the homepage.

I want to add an wordpress content slide under the menu and above the posts. There are two lines and you get if you click on the menu the name of the menu or an website title and under title. Do I need to edit it in the header.php? And do you know where the coding of that starts?

Funny thing about the shortcode for buttons. The shortcode appears in the editor like this (with single quotation marks): [bra_button text=’Put the Text You Want Here’ . . .
but the button doesn’t show up correctly on the page until I put the text in double quotation marks like this: [bra_button text=”Put the Text You Want Here” . . .

You can use only ” or ’ (not italic ones)
ps:this editor transforms quotes to something similar (I guess because of HTML formatting…)

the a:active or current on the menu is not correctly creating a colored background for the link on the active page, is there a setting i missed somewhere?
I had this same problem and I was going INSANE. Make sure you menu you have selected is called “top menu” mine wouldn’t work till I used that exact name
