The documentation states that after extracting the .zip there should be a carrino.zip. I didn’t find a zip file like that, instead there’s carrino-1.8.1.zip which I installed… but there was another one called carrino-child.zip – I couldn’t find carrino-child.zip in the documentation. Based on the graphics of the documentation it looks like the documentation is out of date. However, I installed the carrino-child.zip as a theme and it installed successfully – but now I have carrino and carrino-child. What’s the difference between these two ?
Carrino child is a child theme. If you intend to make custom theme modifications you would most likely want to install the child theme and add your changes to that theme. It’s for theme developers or experienced WP users who want to add their own functions and changes.
You can still install and use the child theme even if you don’t want to make any custom alterations.
If you have configured your site using the child theme, changing to the parent theme will man having to set your options again so probably best to leave it as is.
Thanks – Steve
ok thanks that makes sense. thanks
Hello, I use the carrino theme on several websites and I think it’s amazing. I would like to know how I can inhibit the featured image, so that it does not open in all posts, so that I don’t need to mark it post by post. Is there any way to disable the featured image from opening across the entire site? I am very grateful in advance for your help.
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
That’s not possible currently but I am working on an update which includes the option to toggle the featured image globally for single posts. (You can already disable featured image for archive and homepage).
I hope this helps
Thanks – Steve
Hello I ve one issue about images 1) veritical size of the images on the homepage is off. the do not resize. (see here: https://www.grappling-italia.com/ ) can you help me? – the latest two post are new so they should have the right size ratio… can you help me to solve this?
let me elaborate: that happens with the default post style. if I use cover it looks ok
Hi,
It looks like you are using a CDN for images, perhaps the issue is your CDN?
Carrino uses the default WP image functions, when you upload a new image the image sizes will be generated (assuming the original image is large enough to create the required sizes)
Cover style works with any image size.

Hello, I just want to work with Gutenberg. Which demo pages are created without Elementor and only with Gutenberg?
One more thing, I would like to switch from my current site as easily as possible. Which plugins are necessary to make it look like the demo without Elementor?
None of the pages use Elementor, Carrino does not support page builders only Gutenebrg. All the demo’s you see use either Gutenebrg or the included blocks plugin (my own post builder plugin). Thats all you need to create any of the demos.
I hope this helps?
Thanks – Steve
That doesn’t sound bad at all. I would just like to see your own post builder plugin first. Not that I buy the theme and am not satisfied afterwards. I don’t know what a credit note looks like if you don’t like it?
What does page speed look like on Google Page Speed? Are the Core Web Vitals achieved?
Basically, I’m interested in your theme and I like it
I checked out their other themes. Mura and Zosia is the same as Carrino except the design is a little different? Or what is the difference?
I run a travel blog with galleries in the article. It is not financed by advertising. Which of your 3 templates is best suited?
Hi,
You can check Google Page Speed and Core Web Vitals with any of the demos.
Threeforty Home Blocks plugin can be seen in these demos; http://www.3forty.media/carrino/?home=demo8 and http://www.3forty.media/carrino/?home=demo9 This plugin allow syou to create blocks of posts with various filters
The choice of theme is really up to what you like the look of. Mura has a lot more options and lots of dedicated advertising areas. Carrino and Ruki are simpler blog themes, very light and easy to use. Mura is suited to magazine sites and Zosia is a blog style theme that does not support my post blocks plugin
Thanks – Steve
Thanks Steve for the answer, If I understand correctly, then Mura is probably the most comprehensive? I would then want to buy it.
Is it possible for the cover photos, galleries and individual photos in the article and on the homepage to have a shadow? Actually everywhere on the homepage.
You could add shadow to elements with custom CSS
Thanks – Steve
I found your comment that says you were planning to implement AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) version. Is it already implemented?
Since Google retired the AMP ranking system this is no longer on the roadmap.
Thanks – Steve
HI, gallery mode does not work in my articles, there are two images side by side in draft mode but in the article they are in large format one above the other. Can you help me with this please? Best regards, Michaëla
Can you share a link?
Hi, Is there any way to include custom post types when we are using plugins like hero, home-blocks, and related posts? I can manually adjust the WP Query to allow for this in the plugins, but it’d be great if this was an option within the customizer to select multiple custom post types. We purchased last year, but are just now able to migrate a site that we have. We like almost everything about this theme, but we are having issues with the custom post types on our site since we can’t pull them into the rest of the posts. Thank you!
That’s definitely something I will be adding in the next plugin update. It’s already on the road map. Until then you would need to specify the post IDs.
Thanks – Steve
Great to hear, looking forward to the update.
Hello,
I hope you’re well. We purchased your theme on ThemeForest, but our marketing team found the configuration process quite complex. As a result, we’ve decided to switch to the “Salient” theme and kindly request a refund for the purchase. Thank you for your time.
Regards, Luciano
You can request a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
Hi i can’t upload this theme in wordpress i get this message :
The theme you tried to upload does not have a name specified in its metadata. Add a valid name to the metadata and try uploading again.
Can you help me with this.
Hi,
It sounds like you tried to install the full download zip file. You need to install just the theme file. Please see here: https://www.envato.com/blog/install-themeforest-wordpress-theme/
Thanks – Steve
Hello,
I’m trying to import the demo data using One Click Demo Important, but whenever I do, I receive “Import Failed. Error: error (524).”
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks, Brandon
The issue seems to have resolved on its own
Glad you resolved this. For your info this is a server timeout error.
Thanks – Steve
To remove.
Hi,
Some of the words are not translated such as By, Comments, Minute Read and many more how can I translate them using loco?
After reading the comments I fixed this problem but there are 2 more issues:
1. Where is located the language file of Read More button?
2. Where is located the language file of “by” when using demo 4 post block 1,2 etc?
You need to translate Ruki: Homepage Post Blocks plugin
Edit: 340 Media: Homepage Post Blocks
Hi, I have translated it but still in english : https://prnt.sc/PvHkA8ahd2GA
Ah, I see the issue. There’s a language text domain bug. I’ll release a plugin update tomorrow.
Thanks – Steve
Thank you as well.
Image Brightness Hero Slider
Hi Steve,
I recently switched from Hero Grid to Hero Slider on the start page.
With the hero grid I set the brightness of the images to 100% by adjusting the following code.
.cover .post-thumbnail img { display:flex; object-fit: cover; transition: every 0.5s ease; filter: brightness(100%); }
Unfortunately, this doesn’t work with the hero slider and I can’t figure out how to set the images in the slider to 100% brightness as well.
Maybe you can help me again. I thank you in advance.
Edit: I found one more thing, you may can help me too.
When I look at my start page with my mobile phone (malteskitchen.de), the hero slider picture doesn’t fit exactly into the screen. It protrudes a little at the right edge. As soon as I scroll, the slider image fits perfectly into the screen again.
do you have an idea why that could be? Everything was perfect in the hero grid.
Thank yo!
beste regards, Malte
Hi Malte,
Add this to your custom CSS;
.hero.carousel.cover .flex-box::after {
background: rgba(0,0,0,0);
}
As to the scroll issue, it looks like you have some scripts (perhaps ads) or lazy load which is conflicting with the slider JS slowing it down so that it is unable to render the slider immediately. Only when all the external content has loaded is the slider finally able to load.
I hope this helps?
Thanks – Steve
Thank you Steve It helped a lot again!
I’ll see where the conflict comes from. It will probably be the ad code, but I’ll find out.
Thank you very much!
Hi!
I have two question you may can help me.
1.) I use the hero slider (cover) on the home page. When I move the mouse pointer over the images, arrows appear to move the slider left and right.
Is there a possibility that the arrows are already displayed before I navigate to the images with the mouse?
And is there a way to display the arrows in the mobile view as well?
2.) In the desktop view, a page navigation with numbers (1 2 3 next) is displayed in the categories. Mobile only shows “next”.
Is it possible to have the numbers displayed in the mobile view as well?
Thanks for your Support!
beste regards, malte
Hi Malte,
1. Add this to your custom CSS;
.slick-arrow { opacity: 1 }
2. Add this to your custom CSS;
@media (max-width: 680px) {
.nav-links .pages, .navigation.pagination a.page-numbers:not(.prev):not(.next), .navigation.pagination span.page-numbers:not(.prev):not(.next) {
display: flex;
}
}
I hope this helps?
Thanks – Steve
Hi Steve,
it works perfect. Thank you so much.
Your support is simply unbeatable. I really have to say that. It just doesn’t get any better.
best regards, Malte
a friend of mine bought this and she wants for me to install it on top of an existing theme, if i used the demo install method will it delete all the previous posts and images in the library?
No, all your current posts and images will remain and the demo posts and images will be added. However you can install just the settings/widgets without demo data if you choose to https://3forty.media/docs/carrino/#demosetup
Oh that’s great. Theme looks great and that functionality makes it even better. Thanks for the swift response
I would like to install a comments plugin(wp discuz) but when I install it nothing appears. I tried most of the troubleshooting I could find, like adding in functions.php
function comment_support_for_my_custom_post_type() { add_post_type_support( ‘my_post_type’, ‘comments’ ); } add_action( ‘init’, ‘comment_support_for_my_custom_post_type’ );
but nothing. Any help appreciated.
Hi,
Can you share a link so I can see the issue?
Thanks – Steve
Appearance > Customize > Ruki: Theme Settings > General Settings: Uncheck: Click Button to Open Comments
Thanks – Steve
Hey Steve, there is no such option in Carrino Theme settings -> General settings
I believe is fixed with the following css
body:not(.comment-page) #comments.comments-area { display: block; }
if there is a better option I’m all ears. Thanks for your time.
Sorry, you’re correct, there isn’t an option for that in Carrino theme. (that’s Ruki theme).
That’s the correct CSS.
Thanks – Steve
The 340 Media: Social Media Settings plugin, when I enable to share with whatsup and telegram, they don’t show up. Others like facebook and twitter show up normally. Am I missing something?
Hi,
Telegram and Whats-app only show on mobile as they are mobile social apps.
Thanks – Steve
Hi! I bought your theme last week and its veryyy nice! I installed using Demo1 import and at now did just small layout adjustments.
I notice that the left menu is different as its in the demo, as I remember I didn’t changed anything related with it.
Can you help me how to manage it?
https://blog.dpen.com.brRegards, Luciano
Hi,
Thanks for your comment.
Do you mean the slide out sidebar?
Appearance > Widgets > Toggle Sidebar
WP adds several widgets by default when you first install WP. Remove the widgets you do not need.
I hope this helps?
Thanks – Steve
Edit: I solved it by enabling the custom post blocks. I thought they were enabled by default.
Hey! I purchased the theme today and it is really cool!
However I have trouble setting up multiple ‘Featured’ sections on my homepage. For example I want:
Editor Picks
Recent in Photography
Recent in Cooking
etc.
However I can only manage to get one of them working through: Customizing > 340 Media: Featured Posts >Home Featured Posts like it is displayed in the docs.
On the live demos of the theme there are multiple category blocks – how is this done ?
Thanks in advance & best regards, Alex
Glad you solved it
HI I have created a page for one long blog post. Its hosting title can you let me know how to remove that on https://bestlaptopforstudents.com/
Thanks
Hi,
Add this to your custom CSS;
.home.page h1.entry-title { display:none }
Thanks – Steve
