With a little custom CSS. Insert the below CSS in the CSS field in theme options. Use the color of your choice, the default below is the light gray.

Yes there is a new version, you can see the changelog at the bottom of the item page to see what is the latest version. Its v2.0.5.
Redownload it from themeforest on your downloads tab. It will be the new version which is v2.0.5
Then, please read the READ ME FIRST file that comes with the download of the update, since oyu are on v2.0.3, then the plugin #5 is the only item you need to note.
When updating, it’s best to do it via FTP: Go to “wp-content > themes” and backup your “Avada” theme folder by saving it to your computer.
Replace the current “Avada” theme folder in your “wp-content > themes” folder with the new version you get from the download.
Also, all plugins are new and are now fully integrated into the theme. Do not attempt to activate or use the old ones, you should remove them via FTP if you can. The new ones will be auto installed when you update
And be sure to check out our new documentation, it has been totally rewritten and now has more screenshots, details and videos. And sign up at our support forum for additional support, all info you need is in our documentation file.

I am very happy with the theme and it works great! I have just an issue to solve, I hope you can help me. In my blog, I cannot see older posts because when clicking in number 2 to pass to the next page it takes to page 1 over an over. Did I do something wrong?

It sounds like you do not have the correct blog page selected in the settings.
Go to “settings > reading” and ake sure the correct blog page is set under “posts page” field.

I have some issues. I can’t figure out your comments, “If its showing the full text, then you need to set the “excerpt” length. Go to the “blog” tab in theme options and at the bottom you can set to show the “excerpt” or “full content”. Make sure its set to “excerpt” then set a number below that, try 50, which will only show 50 words.”
I don’t have “blog” tab inside theme options. To be clear, I am looking inside following folder—
Appearance > Theme Option > ...
But there is no “Blog” tab. Please clarify.

I’m sorry, if you dont have the blog tab then you must be on an older version of Avada. We use a new theme options in v2.0 and higher, so you must be on v1.1.2 or lower.
So you can update to the new version for free, just download it from your downloads tab again, it will be our new v2.0.5 version.
Or you can use the “read more” tag. Insert the below tag in your post content wherever you want the excerpt to stop. You can insert this tag in all your blog post and it will show an excerpt on the listing page wherever you put it.

I made a new blog post which had a small 150×150 image in the post. The theme automatically duplicated that image and scaled it really large (which made it pixelated) and put it at the top above the blog post. Is there a setting that turns this off? Not sure what the purpose of duplicating images.

It sounds like you are on an older version of the theme. We changed how post iamges/featured iamges work in our new version.
We suggest updating the theme, and please read the READ ME FIRST file you get at root level of your download for important info about updating.
You could also turn off “post image slideshows” and the iamges you put in post content will not show up top as the featured image. But doing that will turn off other slideshows you have as featured images. Which is why we recommend updating to the new version, its much more streamlined and feature rich.

Hi. I am fairly new to wordpress. I have your “Avada” theme installed (ver 2.0 I think). Wordpress is asking me to update to version 3.5 yet I am nervous that it might mess things up. Do I need to update the theme before updating wordpress and if so…how does one do that? Just re-download and copy over existing theme? Will I lose all my content?

We just released an update to Avada v2.0.5 that is WP 3.5 compatible. So the best thing to do is download the new version of Avada from your downloads tab, do a fresh install then you can update to WP 3.5.

Yes that was a bug in a previous version, please download the latest version of Avada v2.0.5 and update the theme.

How can I update the theme ? I download the latest version but when I try to upload it on WP, it fail. I dont want to lose all my work on the previous version of the theme, but still want the tracking code work. How can I do ?
If you udpate via Wordpress it wont work unless you remove the previous Avada theme, you cant have 2 themes with the same name.
Its best to do it via FTP.

Thanks for your help…but I still don’t understand how to do this update. I am a new WP user and this is the first time that I have to update a theme. I worked very hard on my WP website so far with Avada Theme earlier version and I dont want to lose everything by doing something wrong in the FTP files…
The tracking code is very important for me if I want to manage my website. Is there a video or screenshots to help me with this update?

You will not lose your sites data content. All you need to do is replace the current Avada folder with the new Avada folder via FTP.
Then go back to your admin panel and hit refresh once or twice so the integrated plugins take over.
You can watch our install video that is included in the documentation (How To Install Section), it shows you how to install the theme originally via Wordpress then at the end of the video it shows you how to do it via FTP. That is what you want. Just replace the Avada theme folder with the new one.

I tried to replace the files in the FTP, but still not working…and now me website doe’nt work anymore… ERROR: The themes directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. Please check your installation.

Have you entered custom CSS or modified the CSS of the theme? Our search results do not look like that.
Also, what version of Avada are you using? We did change some things about the search function in a version or two past. New version is v2.0.5, if you udpate please read the READ ME FIRST file in full.
We do not know of any known issues with WP ECommerce plugin, but we have never tested it either. Most of our users use WooCommerce plugin with no issue.
You should post this up on our forum so all our users can see, maybe somewhere there uses that plugin and can discuss it with you.

Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in the original post, I removed all my custom css and it still looks the same. I am using version 1.1.2 of the theme, It was recently purchased and installed. Since then you are up to 2.0.5 ?
Is there any code I can add to fix the issue?
I am afraid to update as chances are my site will explode. I am on the final part for the client and do not want issues at this stage.

1.1.2 was a while ago, you must of bought it right when we updated to v2.0.
You should not have issues updating unless you amde changes to the coded files, if so then those will be overwritten.
If you update, please read the READ ME FIRST file, v2.0 and higher are much more feature rich with new Theme Options, etc.
You get the new download the same way, go to your downloads tab and find the Avada theme, then download the new version. All updates are free.
I asked about the custom CSS because our demo does not look that way, even on the older version. I know you removed the custom CSS, but did you make any edits to the all.css file or others? Or did you put all custom CSS in the CSS field?
But I would update if I were you, just make a copy of your current theme folder so you can revert if needed.
And you should also post this on our forum, we can provide more detailed help there. See the new documentation you get with v2.0.5 for info on signing up.

I tried updating, Worst Idea ever! its all busted and I cannot even go back to my old version as all the sliders are now gone because it erased all the data when it auto deactivated the plugins.
This will cost me time and money rebuilding it all
I now have to rebuld all the slides from memory and it will take no less than 4 hours of my time to do so. I am beyond pissed off. NO WHERE in your read me did it mention you will lose all your slides.
I had to revert to the old theme but with no slides. In other words I am worse off than when I started.
I’m sorry you are pissed but standard procedure for update does not erase the slides. It did not erase it for us or any of our other 7000+ users, so of course we do not mention that it will erase it, because its not suppose to do it. If it erased your slides then something went wrong. Seriously, no other users have reported that the data has been erased. THe creator of the Layer Slider, Kreatura, also states that the slide data will not be erased. Something must of went wrong with your update. That is out of our control, and its up to you to export your slides for a backup.
Its always a good idea to export your slide data for a backup. The layer slider makes it very easy for you to simply export the slider data. Just copy the exported data then import it back in.
And why would you revert back to the old theme, especially if you said you lost your slides anyway? That doesn’t make sense, the newer version is more feature rich and includes the new versions of the layer slider, which is what you use. You should stick with v2.0.5
When it deactivated the plugin it set the slider to default. Literally everything was broken in the new theme. I followed instructions as per the PDF file. Anyway I am not doing it again so if I can figure out why the search results are formatted so badly and what CSS I need to fix it in the old theme, that would be perfect.
I compared the style.css in my site to the default and they are the same, I also removed all the custom css and the problem is still there.
It looks like margins are not working in the results page. at least when I firebug the page I see H2 bottom margin but its not pushing anything down, for example.
If everything was broken in the new theme then it did not install properly.
The new styles would be in all.css file.
You can post this on our support forum but I’m not sure our developer will know what exactly changed, there were hundreds of things that changed with it.
Its best to update and we can update your theme for you without issue, so let us know if you would like us to do that.

Is there any chance things will break if I have you guys update the theme? because I cannot continue to repair this site as I am not getting paid anymore for it.
If you have changed the theme files, like the PHP or CSS files then those will be overwritten. But the update should not break your theme, all other suers have been able to update it without issues like that.
But the best course of action at this point would be to post this on our forum with the URL and good description and our support staff can help you figure out what is wrong.

hi guys just purchased the theme and very excited to get it up and running. But! I am having a little difficulty installing the demo content. i have followed the steps but still no joy! am i missing something guys? Also i have tried to sign up to the support forum but it says No valid purchase codes where found. any help would be much appreciated.

For the support forum, you need to make sure you are using the exact same Themeforest username that purchased the Avada, so use “wmrodden” with your purchase code you get. That will work, they are tied together and have to be used together.
For the XML, please check the list of instructions in our new documentation. We added a new list of troubleshooting tips for the XML import. The issue is usually server related. Download the latest version of the theme and check out the new v2.0.5 docs. I’ve listed them below as well.
You can also choose not to check the “download and import attachments”. That will allow all the pages, post and copy to come over, just not the demo images which users use their own anyway. The issue with the import usually centers around the size and speed of getting the attachments. See the new tips below.
If The Demo Content Will Not Load For You, Please Check The Following Items
- Make sure the wp-content > uploads folder is writeable
- Make sure you have the uploads folder on your server, if you do not then please make one at wp-content > uploads.
- Its possible that your server upload limit is too low, if so, contact yourr hosting company to temporarily increase it to about 200MB
- Some users may need to set their folder permissions for the wp- content/uploads folder to 777 before being able to upload anything
- And please have patience, it can take several minutes or longer depending on the speed of your server and connection.

Yes you sure can, go to the “extra” tabs in theme options, and look for “testimonial speed” and isnert a higher number. Default is usually 4000, which is 4 seconds.

i bought this theme few days ago und its really nice, but the revolution slider doesn’t work. I think its a problem between the CHMOD and the user-rights of linux-server. (Hoster: all-inkl.com)
The following things don’t work: - Preview without the Image - Slider in Conten doesn’t display - Some Options (Slider-Type) don’t work fine - The Layer drag option doesn’t work
Please help me. It’s so strange, because the rest work so good.
