Hi there, i am just wondering, do you know if shopkeeper needs to use the wp-json/wp/v2/customers aspect of the website. i am having a problem with bots trying to access this and am planning to block it on the .htaccess file.

Hi, we are not using that in Shopkeeper. Thank you!

Hello there, after one of the latest updates a “shopkeeper dashboard info popup” appeared inside Wordpress backend and is not going to disappear. How to fix this please?

Hi, at the bottom of the popup you should see a “Dismiss” button which once clicked, will close this popup forever. If you don’t see this “Dismiss” button, there is probably some incompatibility with a plugin or script hiding the button.

If you can’t figure it out, we’re waiting for you on support, one of our engineers will be happy to help you:

How do I put in accordions in the short description of the product?

Hi, it depends on what plugins and page editor you use.

In any case, you will need to make sure you use a plugin that has an accordion shortcode.

You can use this shortcode anywhere in the content, including in the short product description.

This is just an example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-accordion-free/

I am really disappointed as I have tried to reach out to the team multiple times but no response. I am already on the latest version of shopkeeper theme but wp bakery doesnt gets updated ever. WP balery is stuck at version 6.7 for ages. Please provide me a response as I was promised a lifetime support for WP bakery when it comes to it’s update.

Hi, indeed, we offer lifetime update for WP Bakery. To download the latest version, please download Shopkeeper 3.x.zip from Themeforest (All files and documentation), unzip this package and inside you will find a folder called “Plugins”. Open the plugins.html file and you will find a link where you can download the latest version of WP Bakery which you can install/update manually.

To contact us for support, you must have an active support subscription and your subscription has expired. You can renew it here:

Cheers!

When manually update theme according to your description, the install fails due to lack of style.css in the package “Shopkeeper 3.2.zip”

Hi, that’s because you’re trying to upload the wrong zip.

From Themeforest, download “Installable WordPress file only”. This is the zip that needs to be uploaded to WordPress.

Hi Guys,

Is is it safe to update WooCommerce to 8.1.0? Or better to wait for a theme update?

Thank you

Hi, Shopkeeper is fully compatible with WooCommerce 8.1.0, update without worries.

Cheers!

Thank You Thank you

Hi is it safe to update from 2.9.993 to 3.2 ? Website built with wp-bakery, thanks.

Hi, it’s safe and we recommend to update from 2.9.x to 3.2.

Using the Appearance – Customize – Social media tab, all my profiles work but I can’t add TikTok as the icon is not there on the list. Is this something to be added on later?

Is it possible to create a multi-vendor (B2B) store like Alibaba with this theme?

Hi, yes, but you will have to use one of the plugins that are available on the market and are built for this purpose.

Cheers!

I report the same bug that another user reported before: Since the installation of the version 3.0 I noticed an issue with the /cart page. When you empty the cart it used to display the message “Your cart is now empty” followed by a link to return to SHOP. Now it simply shows the page title and no message. IF you refresh the page the message displays as before. I have cleared the cache (local and server) but the issue remains. I have tried and in your demos this does not happen.

Hi,

this was fixed in the latest update, v3.2.

Cheers!

Is revolution slider not in the new theme update included?

Hi,

Yes , this plugin is included, please donwnload the main zip, inside you’ll find a folder called “Plugins” where you can find a link to download the plugin.

How can i change back to the WP Bakery Editor after updating the theme?

Hi,

you don’t have to change anything, if you’ve been using WP Bakery, you can keep using it.

In other words, you can choose which editor you use: WP Bakery or Elementor.

Cheers!

The Shopkeeper Dashboard Popup cannot be closed.

“Welcome to the Shopkeeper Dashboard! Here you will find templates, kits, plugins, useful links, documentation and help.

If you get lost, come back here.”

Can you please fix this? I have the latest version of the theme.

Hi,

please contact us on support, we will need temporary access to the backend to understand what’s going on and why your Dismiss button is not displayed.

I looked for the button in the HTML with the inspector and found out there was a css declaration of display none. I managed to remove it and click on the ignore button. It’s all good, but for other users it would be better if you solve it.

I’m glad you got that sorted out. There is no such problem for other users, thanks!

Quick view feature in product card don’t exist after the 3.0 update.

Hi,

that feature has been discontinued in version 2.9.989, see the changelog.

Cheers!

Hello Guys,

I have a question about the search function.

I really like how the search icon and search field work right now. However, I’ve read through comments that our current search functionality is limited to WooCommerce’s default system. I’m thinking about getting a more advanced search plugin to improve this as I’m getting complains from my customers that they can’t find what thy need easily so it became a priority change for me.

I’m wondering how adding a new plugin might affect the look of the search icon and search box. Can I still keep the current style while adding new features?

Most of the plugins I’ve seen use shortcodes to add their search fields, but our icon uses Ajax to show the search field smoothly. I’m not sure if these plugins will work with what we have.

I know you don’t handle customizations, but could you guide me on whether this is possible? If it is, a quick overview of the steps would be really helpful. I’ll take it from there and figure it out on my own. Right now, I’m a actually unsure about how to proceed and even its possible or not.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi,

anything is possible, it depends on what kind of features you are looking for.

The search in the header is the default WooCommerce search, because we are talking about a WooCommerce theme.

But once you determine your needs I’m sure you can find a plugin that extends the default WooCommerce functionality.

Cheers!

I believe my question wasn’t clear. Let’s rephrase it: If I were to purchase a new search plugin with enhanced functionality and subsequently renew my support, would it be feasible to seek assistance from you in integrating the additional features of the new search plugin into the existing search icon? In essence, I aim for my visitors to continue using the familiar icon and search field, while the search results are powered by the new search plugin.

Thank You

Not sure if its theme related [have the latest Shopkeeper theme, WP 6.3 and WC 8] but noticed an issue with the /cart page. When you empty the cart it used to display the message “Your cart is now empty” followed by a link to return to SHOP. Now it simply shows the page title and no message. IF you refresh the page the message displays as before. I have cleared the cache (local and server) but the issue remains.

I don’t see the same thing on your demos. I have just contacted you via support

Hi,

this was fixed in the latest update, v3.2.

Cheers!

Thanks. I can confirm v3.2 fixed the issue of empty cart message compatibility with WooCommerce 8.0.3

When you rollover the product on mobile the image shows underneath product image. Is there an update to resolve this issue? Also, on iPad the theme displays the same as mobile phone, can it look more like the desktop layout?

Hi,

navigate to Appearance > Customize > Shop > Product Card and uncheck “Second Product Image on Hover” then press “Publish”.

As for iPad, the theme has 3 main breakpoints: Desktop, Tablet and Smartphones.

If we displayed the same layout on tablet as on desktop, some elements would not work correctly, such as menus, due to the different way of interacting with these devices (finger vs mouse).

Cheers!

As you switched to Elementor as default page builder is it possible to import website styling options (fonts, sizes, colors) choosen in Appearance > Customize to global or default Elementor styling options. Elementor has it own default styles (WP Bakery used styles from theme customization) and it takes time to setup it again.

Of course!

Install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/ and exporting customizations will be a breeze!

With Elementor you can also use the same customizations from Wordpress, all you have to do is ignore the global customizations in Elementor.

Cheers!

But by default Elementor has its own styles (fonts, colors etc). How to force Elementor to use styling chosen in Appearance > Customize and Shopkeeper default styles?

Don’t set anything in Elementor global styles or if you have set anything, set them to default, that way the settings in Customizer will apply.

Dear Get Bowtied team, with the switch to Elementor as Shopkeeper’s main page builder, I am wondering if you are planning to discontinue compatibility with WPBakery in the medium term? As my site is built with WPBakery, I’m afraid I would not be able to simply make such a switch without having to re-build my entire site. I’d love to know more about your plans in this regard, thank you.

Hi,

don’t worry, we will not discontinue WP Bakery and we will provide updates of this plugin, for life.

Cheers!
