Hi there – We built our site years ago with your original page builder, WPBakery. We never loved it, and always had Elementor build out other non-product pages. We love the shift to Elementor, but still have WPBakery on the site. How can we rid the site of WPBakery and have those pages built using it converted to Elementor?
Hey,
Product pages, categories, cart, checkout are not built with WP Bakery, they are native to the theme. So there’s nothing that requires any conversion.
If you have pages built with Elementor, you can uninstall WP Bakery.
However, do this on a staging site, so that it doesn’t break anything in case you still have something built with WP Bakery.
Cheers!
Thanks, that’s good to know—Looks like your previous Front Page (Slider) was built on WPBakery. Here’s the site: https://thesurfaceshop.com/. Do you have any Front Pages built in Elementor that still fit this look? We love that slider but open to others. Thanks for your help!
Also—do you know if Portfolio items were built by WPBakery?
Bumping this up, would love to get your thoughts on a suitable replacement, so we can eliminate WPBakery. Thanks!
I don’t want to import the new demo kits. I would like to install the original demo content. Is this possible?
The default demo is for viewing only, we don’t distribute it for one simple reason: it’s too large in terms of number of items, products, pages, and some servers fail to import. We are working on a lighter version, you will find it available for import soon.
In the meantime the importable templates will give you a foundation you can build on and will help you launch your next project faster.
Cheers!
Thanks for your feedback. Any idea how long this will take as the new templates don’t suit my style. The original demo was spot on.
Hi. Since the last theme update (version 3.0) there’s been a long delay between the moment I click on the “add to cart” button and the moment the product really goes into the shopping basket. There was no such delay before… And the cart and paiement page are much more slower…
Hi,
this seems to be a cache issue.
Please delete your server cache and your browser cache.
Cheers!
Hey, I’ve deleted the cache but I have the same issue again. NB : I haven’t change anything between the 2.9 and 3.0 version.
Hi There,
is it familiar that it is not possible to upload images with Elementor in the templates you provide?
I started to build a new website but uploading images is not possible because the button doesn’t work in the template I selected.
Best regards.
div class=”elementor-control-media__tool elementor-control-media__replace” data-media-type=”image”>Afbeelding kiezen
is it a template specific error or do you not experience this in your wordpress environment?
I don’t have any support left but I think this is beyond support if it is a template bug.
Hi,
There is no connection between a template and not being able to upload images. Please check your server settings or contact your hosting company.
seconded on the comment below, I want to add widgets to my product/category pages
I am considering the renewal of my purchased license. But my main issue in the past was, that the product pages are fixed and cannot be modified in the theme settings. I wanted to know since Elementor is now the official page builder, if this has changed? Is it now possible somehow to modify the product page? I mainly need to insert some additional product information like lead time, warranty info or bullet points and things like safe checkout, etc. Please let me know. Thank you.
Hey, please read this article: https://elementor.com/blog/customize-woocommerce-product-page/ Cheers!
Why does update basket stay white in colour even though all other website text is black? this failure to auto update cart is still a failure on shopkeeper 3. Please fix
Hi,
we need to see it live to understand, please share a link.
Cheers!
3.0 seems fine on my local instal even if it’s a major update. Kudos for the Team!
We’re glad to hear that! Cheers!
Hello Guys,
Based on the new update, the only option I need is the Manual or Auto Update, I don’t need other options for importing demo, new dashboard, new demo etc. Is there anyway I can choose what I want to add to my website?
Hey there!
Feel free to skip the templates section, but the dashboard is now a permanent part of our setup. No need to stress – I’m totally convinced you’ll love it because it’s like a handy shortcut to all the awesome stuff Shopkeeper has to offer! And this is just a new beginning…
Cheers!

Hello Guys,
I have two questions: 1- WordPress and WooCommerce have new release today, is it safe to update them to their new release or wait for a theme update? 2- You mentioned that Shopkeeper would be updated automatically, can I remove the Envato Market plugin now?
Thank You Very Much
Hey,
Shopkeeper is compatible and tested with WordPress 6.3 and WooCommerce 8.0.
If and only if you have Shopkeeper version 2.9.995 installed, you can remove Envato Market.
Cheers!
Thank you very much
Hi there,
Same problem here> WP Bakery can’t be updated “Please visit the subscriptions page and renew to continue receiving updates.’’
Can you share with us the WP Bakery Plugin file?
Thanks

Hi,
Login details in your inbox.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I’ve updated the plugin for you. If it happens again in the future, in the zip you download from Themeforest, Shopkeeper x.x.xxx.zip, you will find a Plugins folder containing the links where you can download the included plugins.
Cheers!
Thank you
Hi, I updated to 2.9.995 and WP Bakery can’t be updated “Please visit the subscriptions page and renew to continue receiving updates.’’. I have checked through the comments and see that several people have the same problem. I have updated Shopkeeper 2 times but nothing happens. Can I please have the js composer update? Or any information on what could be the problem?
Many thanks for a really good theme!
Hi,
Just go here and update the plugin: https://YOURWEBSITE.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=tgmpa-install-plugins (replace YOURWEBSITE.com with yours).
Cheers!
Thanks for quick reply! I’ve done that unfortunately but am getting the error there too “Go to the subscription page and renew to continue receiving updates.”
Hi,
If for some reason the update doesn’t work, in the zip you download from Themeforest, Shopkeeper x.x.xxx.zip, you will find a Plugins folder that contains the links where you can download the included plugins.

Hi there, I updated to 2.9.994 and WP Bakery can’t update and I keep getting this error message ’’An error occurred while updating WPBakery Page Builder: Please visit the subscriptions page and renew to continue receiving updates.’’ Am I supposed to delete the plugin and reinstall? I’m confused as to why this is happening. Thank you in advance and thanks for the awesome theme!
Hi, something is not working correctly on your instance, you should have been notified in the backend to upgrade to WP Bakery 7.0.
If you think you need help from a developer, please make sure you have your support subscription active and contact us on support, we will help you to overcome this problem.
https://www.getbowtied.com/support/Cheers!
In addition, If I click the link to the subs page it shows the following message for WP Bakery ’’ Version 7.0 is available. To enable this update you need to purchase a new subscription.’‘
Hi, I understand, one of my colleagues is waiting for you on support, he will need access to the backend of your site.
Cheers!
My support has been expired long ago but I have a purchase code. Right now I’m surprised as to why the plugin won’t update on the backend. It keeps on outputting the same message ’’Updating Plugin: WPBakery Page Builder Please visit the subscriptions page and renew to continue receiving updates.’’ like it wants me to purchase a code for WPB.
Moreover, is it possible to get the file from somewhere and update it just how we used to in the past?
Here’s a download link, it will expire in 25 minutes from now.
https://www.temporary-url.com/B39I recommend you to renew your support and contact us to solve this problem for the future.
Cheers!
Worked like a charm!! Thanks Adrian and team!! Please please please include a zip file of WPB in the plugin zip as this way really smoothed out the upgrade without a hassle. Have a lovely weekend!
Thank you, next time just go here
https://eufraim****.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=tgmpa-install-pluginsFrom here you will be able to update plugins, including WP Bakery.
Cheers!
I cannot update WpBakery. I have read that the zip file for js composer is inside the shopkeeper zip, however I re-downloaded the theme, opened up the zip file to see that there is NOT a folder for js composer. I don’t feel I should have to renew support to receive this file which is supposed to come packaged with the theme. Can I please have the js composer update? Or do I need to renew support to receive it? Any reason why it’s not in the downloaded files?
Update: my main reason for commenting is that wordpress wants me to update to WPBakery 7, the current version installed via the theme is 6.13.0 Now I uninstalled and re-installed the Shopkeeper theme to see that the only way to install WPBakery was through the initial setup. I still don’t see a JS Composer zip anywhere in the Shopkeeper zip, but I did re-install WPBakery (JS Composer) to see that the latest version included in the theme is 6.13.0. While I am still not sure how to update WPBakery I can only assume that you have not released 7.0 for the theme.
Hi, please update the theme to the latest version 2.9.994. Once updated, you will receive a notification in the backend to update WPBakery.
Here is the changelog: https://www.getbowtied.com/documentation/shopkeeper/changelog/
Cheers!
nope still cannot update WPBakery as others have mentioned. Please provide some guidance.
I found a workaround: 1. switch to your development or staging environment. 2. delete this theme. 3. re-install the theme and walk through the initial set-ups all over again, particularly installing the recommended/necessary plugins. 4. skip the demo install 5. make sure you have a file manager or sftp client handy. 6. zip up js composer from the dev/staging environment (it will be the latest version of WP Bakery) 7. download the zip 8. go back to your production/live environment 9. install plugins> select the newly downloaded js_composer.zip>vuala updated
Hi,
If for some reason the update doesn’t work, in the zip you download from Themeforest, Shopkeeper x.x.xxx.zip, you will find a Plugins folder that contains the links where you can download the included plugins.
Cheers!
There is an issue with the Pending Payment link. If a customer does not complete the order, but then later decides to pay for the order from his Dashboard, and there are two payment options, for example PayPal and Stripe, when he tries to pay with PayPal, instead of proceeding the page gives a warning that credit card details were nkt filled, even though the PayPal payment option is selected. This is a serious issue. How to resolve this?
Hi, we will need to determine if this issue is related to Shopkeeper. First, test with a default theme and see if this problem persists.
If you want to talk to one of our developers, please make sure you have a valid support subscription to contact us on support.

In reality it was a report for you, I was in a meeting with a client and we looked at the template, he liked it and then he wanted to see it from mobile, iphone se, iphone 12 and iphone 14. We noticed the error, on your demo, when open the site from mobile no desktop, the image is wrong and there is no text, if you change the page and come back you see it correctly, I am attaching a video so you can see it better https://we.tl/t-yRbjny6roD e.
Thank you, I have sent this report to our developers.
