Also, on the blog page, the theme name appears on the banner, how do I get rid of this please?
Open blog page in WordPress Customizer (open Appearance / Customize then navigate to blog page) and change blog widgets via left panel (Edit Layout / Blog Page Widgets).
Text wrapping is not supported in pages created from presets without coding. But in the theme you can create pages in the standard WordPress editor, there are more features and you can use core blocks and blocks from the WordPress plugin repository.
I keep getting this error when installing theme “The parent theme is missing. Please install the “layerswp” parent theme.”... then when i click on “install parent theme” it give me a “Installation package not available.” message. Please advise.

I’ve been trying to update for several months and finally (with the same error), I decided today to do it finally 
or changing the theme there is no other option!!!
Here is the error I get

Most likely you have debug mode enabled on your server. Turn it off. This is set using WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY in the wordpress config file. https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

I have all of that and still the same error
The latest version of Skrollex is tested and works on the latest versions of WordPress and PHP.
This is not an error, but a warning. If debug messages are displayed in the browser and break the page layout, then you have enabled the display of these messages in the browser. This needs to be disabled as I wrote above. If you see these messages only in the log file, then you can ignore them.
I’m trying to change the color of an Font Awesome icon through the Layers ‘column icon class’ settings. I have this “code” but it doesn’t seem to change the icon color: fa fa-clapperboard style=”color: #849788;” . Is there a way of changing the icon colors? I have the latest version of the FA plugin etc.
It should work, but it may conflict with something. Try to set “color: #849788 !important;”

Your code is wrong. It should be in style attribute. Change your code to:

I just didn’t understand how you did it. It looks like your just added the code to the field for the class. This will not work.
You will not be able to do this via editor.

Hi, I’ve seen in the previous posts that changing to different video’s for transparant sections isn’t possible (without the use of third party plugins). I would like to use a different video for a section with [sx_animated_text effect=”B”] – which plugin would you recommend using for this theme?
The theme is not tested with third-party plugins. Plugins that work as shortcodes should work normally in pages created with Layers. Plugins that work as blocks should work normally in pages created using the standard WordPress editor. You can use both editors to create pages in the theme. Pages from presets are created using Layers.
If you need a page with several video backgrounds, you should think about creating a page using standard editor, as it seems to me that it will be easier to find a such plugin for it in free or paid plugins.

Hi, when trying to edit the colors of animated header for ‘mary’ lay out, colours section B Highlight B – I get an error when saving. I edit the color, press ‘save’ and takes me to a wordpress page stating I do not have permission to view this page.
The new color does appear however, but not for the public view.
You should be logged in as admin. Also check your permissions to edit theme files. If you have this permissions, you should have “Appearance/Theme Editor” in the admin panel. If you don’t see this item in the menu, it means it was disabled, most likely via of some plugin. And if this plugin is deactivated, then the rights will not necessarily be restored automatically.

Hi x40! Been using the theme for a couple of months now and I am quite happy with it. I have a question regarding shortcodes on the main page: I am trying to get a social feed plugin to work on the main page by inserting a shortcode. Now this works when I’m in the Customizer menu, but it does not display anything when I’m viewing the page as a regular user. Any ideas?
Actually, it does work but only once? After publishing the page (and clearing cache), I use an incognito window to view my page and it’s there. But when I view the page for a second time (e.g. refresh the page) the feed is gone again…
Solved, it seems the issue was related to Redis Object Cache.

The theme has not been tested with such plugins, I cannot recommend any, but I think it will not be very easy to make a third-party menu look good in the theme design. my wordpress stopped working and now you only see a black screen, does it have to do with an update?

I tested the theme on WordPress 6.3 and it works ok. If you have the latest or not so old version of Skrollex, then something else is the problem. If you have enabled debug mode in your WordPress config file, then it may cause problems when updating WordPress or PHP, try disabling it, if this mode is enabled, it is disabled by default. Check if other pages are showing. If a failure occurred while saving the page, then you can try to roll it back to the previous version using Revisions. Check the error messages in the error log on the server and in the browser console.

I am John, I am using the Skrollex theme. REGULAR LICENSE – SUPPORT until Feb 2024
I have installed and customized the theme, no issues there. I have a few questions/problems:
- I have set a background Youtube video (SX Background Video), which displays fine on regular PC screens, but NOT on smartphones. Vimeo and Video File don’t work there either. How can I resolve that?
- The theme has a CUSTOM COLORS tool by clicking the gears on the left side of the screen. But, when I change one of the colors in there (eg. Background A, or Highlight D,...) and then hit “Save”, I get an error message: “Saving is not allowed in Demo Mode”... How can I resolve that?
If for some reason the video cannot be played, an alternative image is displayed, which you specify in the widget settings. Mobile browsers restrict background videos from running for security reasons. It depends on the browser version and settings. Since it is difficult to guarantee video display on mobile devices, video playback on mobile devices was not supported in older versions of the theme. Later I made partial support for video files hosted on the site itself, but this does not always work correctly, so I recommend using YouTube to host videos and set an alternative image for mobile devices.
The message about the demo mode looks strange. It is displayed on my demo site, it should not be displayed on your site. Try clearing your browser cache and look at error messages in the browser console and in the error log on the server.
I would like to insert a shortcode [responsivevoice_button] from text-to-voice plugin from ResponsiveVoice into the media bock content, so the sample text can be heard.
It works in posts, and in Rich Text Editor, editor 13 but not in media bock content – Rich Text Editor, editor 14
Can it be added? Is there a workaround?

I haven’t used this plugin, but if you describe in detail what’s going on, give error messages in the browser, browser console or error log, and also let me know at what point the problem occurs, during code entry or during display in the front-end , then maybe I can tell you how to solve it.
I can use the 3rd party shortcode in a blog post. It works just fine. I can use the shortcode in the SX Section for Work Samples in the Project Description – that works fine also.
But when I try to use the shortcode in the SX Section for Work Samples - “Media Block Content (useful for video and text, turn on Source Mode via toolbar to insert YouTube or Vimeo embed code)”
When I place the shortcode in this box, it shows up as text on the page.
I can use javascript and an API from the 3rd party plugin, but it’s a bit time consuming for every work sample.
Could you support shortcode in this section?
This block is designed so that you can insert embed code instead of an image, for example, embed code for YouTube video. It is not intended for another. This block is generated dynamically with javascript, but the shortcodes must be processed on the server.

I installed the Scrollex Theme, everything works fine. Now I would like to offer my homepage with the OLGA layout in English and Spanish on my site. Would it be best if I had the Olga layout three times and overwritten it with the remaining two languages? So that the user can switch the page from German to English and Spanish if he wants.
