​This will probably be the third time. I’m trying to update my site (the current theme is updated; Elementor Free Verion is updated; Elementor Pro can’t be updated) and its causing a critical error. My hosting says its the ZigZag Core plugin. Can someone help? It seems this is happening every quarter. My support has run out and I do not want to pay additional for a license that doesn’t work. Please assist.

Ok. It was fully updated (wordpress and the zigzag theme) but once I tried to update Elementor, the site crashed with critical error.

Hello. I am having the same issues as it appears a lot of people are having. I’ve had this theme for nearly 2 years and it continues to run into the same issue with each Elementor update. I can’t make any changes unless Elementor is updated but if you update using this theme, it breaks the site. Can someone help me with this? I know my support is over but I really think this is universal problem that needs a foundational adjustment. Can someone please help?

Hello, You need to update the theme and bundled plugins too.

The site isn’t showing that it needs to be updated. It is showing as if it is up to date.

I have purchased this theme twice. I have two sites running on two different hosting accounts with two different hosting providers.

A critical error occurs on both sites if you update Elementor and the theme cannot be updated at all. Each site has to be recovered from backups after each attempt.

All other plugins have been updated regularly and in most cases each and every month, without any issues whatsoever. This has been occurring for over a year.

I have been unable to get help regarding this issue and I look forward to your support in a resolution.

All plugins and WP are current versions except Elementor and Slider Revolution. I have screenshots of the plugins dashboard and system requirements screen as well, if needed.

The ZikZag Core plugin slows down my site significantly on both frontend and backend – I suspect it’s because of the Redux framework.

When I deactivate the ZikZag Core plugin​, the site is fast (pages size is reduced by half​), but I lose all the style customization and this creates display bugs.

Is it possible to remedy this or do without the ZikZag Core plugin​ and if so how? I specify that I have the latest versions for the ZikZag Theme (1.4.2) and the ZikZag Core ​plugin (1.4.1). All plugins are up to date and I’m using WP Fastest Cache​ + Images compress in Webp.

When you deactivate ZigZag Core it means you deactivate all features and leave only text there. Of course, the site without any features will be much faster. First of all, make sure to update the theme to the latest version and all bundled plugins. Afterwards, you should carry out some basic optimization such as installing a cash plugin, among other things.

Besides, ensure that the server resources are sufficient for WordPress themes and data processing. Usually, it is enough for some basic plan of shared hosting from a good provider.

I do not have an active update, however, I have a license for the theme. I have a serious problem when updating the theme, it is that the logos in the carousel get larger, other images disappear. I have checked the documentation but it is not solved and I have verified all this by cloning my site.

What should I do? Is it necessary to pay again for the update so that you can do it for me?

Please provide more details about the issue. We will fix it for the next update if the issue is related to the theme.

The problem is that when updating the design it breaks, not only in the carousel, but in several sections. The problem is so big that I am considering deleting the template and building a site only using a visual builder

​Hi Author, thank you for such an amazing theme. I have encountered two issues that I have listed below.

I have some custom archive pages that have been created by using the BetterDocs plugin. These archive pages have the page heading printed as ‘Archive’ instead of the actual term name. I can see that this is coded in section-page_title.php (line 169) but I can’t seem to get the page title to echo the actual archive name. It appears correctly in the breadcrumbs but not in the main page title area.

I am using Elementor Pro and specifically the animated headings widget. When logged out these animated headings appear correctly but when logged into Wordpress, the headings appear all messed up. When in edit mode in Elementor they appear correctly again. By deactivating plugins one by one, I have worked out that it’s the ZikZag core that is doing this but I can’t seem to work out where this is occurring within zikzag core.

Any help on both these points would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am having issues with updating the theme and Elementor. I updated the theme first, then updated Elementor, and received a critical error on the site.

I went to Elementor to try to fix it, and followed their instructions, which was to uninstall Elementor and Elementor Pro and reinstall it, reactivate it.

When I reactivated Elementor (free version), it crashed the site again. I then received an email from WP saying this: “In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Zikzag Core”.

My support has expired, so is there any way to receive free help for this, as it is not something that I have control over; the theme conflicting with Elementor.

Why can’t we change the menu with Elementor ? We also can’t center the logo or move it to the right or left… it’s frustrating.
