This has to just be a setting or something, double check the reading settings, and also check the blog tab in theme options and select your type of layout and other items.

And before you put blog to home page in reading settings, were your blog posts showing up?

For Revolution Slider, select “no shadow” in the appearance box and it will show the avada shadow.

1. So do you want your home page to be your blog, but also have the Rev. Slider show up top?

2. Or do you want your home page to be a regular home page with slider, but also show some blog post below it?

For #1, you need to go to “settings > reading” and select your blog to be your home page. Then in the page options of your blog page, select the Revolution Slider to show up and the name of the slider you made for it.

For #2, you would need to use the “recent news” shortcode, that will allow you to show your blog posts underneath the slider.

It means you can have an unlimited number of photos and an unlimited number of portfolios.

You can create as many portfolio pages as you want, and have as many images/vidoes/slideshows in each one, and you can also select specific categories to show up on each portfolio page.

SO if you have Portfolio 1 and Portfolio 2, and then you have 5 different categories, you can choose to show all 5 categories in each Portfolio page, or you can choose to show 2 in Portfolio 1 and 3 in Portfolio 2.

The fancy portfolio layout would take code customization or plugin integration if that is what controls it. You could do that on your own if you are familiar with that type of editing.

We are also adding numerous other portfolio layout options in a future release so you will have more to choose from, but that wont be released until v3.0 sometime in the future.

Sounds awesome … how often are new versions released? Or does it vary? Is the “fancy” portfolio layout one of the numerous types of layouts to be offered in v3.0? Or is that to be determined?

The updates vary and we have not determined if Fancy will be included but I will certainly add it to our list as a possibility. Its hard to say when v3.0 will be released, but that will be our next big feature update when it does come.

There actually is no “main.css” file. Where are you seeing that, Firebug?

Also, any customizations you do to the CSS should be put in the CSS field in theme options, at least that is what we recommend. Inserting it in the CSS field will override any of the CSS, and will allow you to update the theme without losing your changes.

The height of the footer is auto adjusted based off of content. So when you add more content to the footer, it will become taller. You can also insert more than one widget in each of the 4 footer columns.

And you can also adjust the padding of the footer by adding editing .footer-area, for example, add this to the CSS field in theme options to give more padding. Those are the default values, change them to add more or less padding

.footer-area { padding:43px 10px 40px;}

All plugins are now integrated, do not install the standalone plugins.

The outside background area of boxed layout can be black via theme options. If you want the inside content area to be black, then that will take a little CSS modification. But is very simple, many other users have done this.

We are also going to add multiple design skins in our next big update, Avada v3.0 and the dark skin will be included. But for now you would need to add some CSS to achieve the dark skin.

And our style selector is now back on our demo.

In the new v2.0.5, all of our plugins are now integrated so you should be installing the standalone plugins. Please check out the READ ME FIRSTR file you get, specifically #5 that talks about the new integrated plugins.

Both of those errors should be due to that. Read #5 in the file, and I would remove the old standalone plugins via FTP (wp-content > plugins).

Basically, all you need to do is replace the Avada folder via FTP with the new one. That is the fastest and easiest method. If you do it via Wordpress, then you have to deactivate the current avada theme, then delete it. Then upload the new one. You cant upload the new one with the old one still there, WP wont do it since there is already a theme with the same name. But doing it via FTP allows you to replace the folder.

It looks like you are on an older version of Avada. In our new v2.0.5, the children only open when you hover on the parent, and only those children will open, not all of the children. There was a little bug in the older version that caused all children to open when hovered. The new version will fit your needs.

Download the new version and install the theme. I suggest replacing the “Avada” theme folder via FTP with the new one you get in your download. Also be sure to read the READ ME FIRST pdf file, specifically #5 about the plugins, they are now integrated into the theme so the old ones will be deactivated, but your slide content will still be there, the plugins are just integrated now so there is no need for the standalone plugins files.

Once installed your side nav pages will be much easier to use/navigate. If you still want it to happen on-click after you upgrade, then I will check with our developer to see if we can modify that for you. It just depends on how involved it is.

Yes, you should watch our video tutorial and check out our docs for the REv. Slider. I made a video tutorial for each slider, and the Rev Slider one is at full width. The video is included in the documentation that came with your purchase.

Each slider is different, and I suggest watching the video tutorial for Rev Slider if you want full width, but if you want a full width slider for layer slider, then you can’t insert 940px, if you do then that will give you a 940px slider. You can insert 100% for width for a full width slider, or select the “full width” slider option.

If you already have content on your site then dont install the XML file unless yo want all our extra pages and posts, etc. It will not override all your current content, it will just add in the new stuff.

I’m sorry you are having a loading issue, but unfortunately that is not a theme issue. You should contact your hosting company and tell them of the issue, they will be able to let you know what is wrong. Let us know once you talk to them. But the Avada theme would not cause your site to not load.

Also, it loaded for me in 3-5 seconds in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Which os very good, so I do not see the loading issue on my end.

1. Yes we can possibly add that in a future release. For now, dont use the shortcode and just insert the regular embed code from Youtube or Vimeo. that will work.

2. Yes I like this idea as well and have added it to our list for a possibly addition in our next update. I cna see this being a big time saver.

Yes the child theme comes with the full theme, you only use the child theme if you use it regularly. Most users use the parent theme. And that error is due to the old Rev Slider plugin, it needs to be removed from the plugin folder.

Ok I have checked in old plugin folder and there is no RevSlider folder there but it does exist in under new framework folder.

and If I take out the following code from function.php then it seems no error
