Another probplem i have noticed with forms and images, it cuts them off at the bottom so you cannot see the whole form. The themes css is conflicting with wp css, i cannot see any other reason it would do this. Really frustrating.
Hi there,
If you’re reporting a bug please email me via my contact form at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool with a screenshot of the issue.
You will need to contact me from an account that has purchased the theme (your current account has not).
what is the main difference when creating a page, like normal page or hub page? What is the exact difference? Thanks
Hi there,
Hub pages have a completely different layout designed for displaying review data and associated content such as articles, videos and images as seen in the theme demo.
Hi GP,
I’m still loving your theme and bought 3 licences lol
My support has expired but would just like to know how I can display the caption as well as title on the gallery within images in a hub? I have to display it for copyright purposes but couldn’t see an option to display this.
Your help is much appreciated as always
Hi there,
Every image in the media library has a Caption text field. Caption text added to an image will be seen in the lightbox when the image is clicked.
Hello, is it possible to have more widgets “Top Games” i.e. per console? For instance: Homepage will show 3 widgets: 1st Top Xbox Games / 2nd Top PS5 Games / 3rd Top PC Games. Thank you!
Hi there,
Yes this is possible.
My support has expired, but I just downloaded this and installed the demo content, but the Blog pages all look like the Large Blog layout (even the pages named: masonry-blog, etc.). I’ve turned off “Under Construction” plugin. writersware.com
Hi there,
All your blog pages appear to be working correctly except the masonry page which you have set to your posts page from Settings > Reading so the individual page template settings won’t work. This uses the global theme options post category settings.
Hello, The domain where my license is registered has been expired long time ago, please tell me how to unregister/deactivate the theme license from the old domain/website so that I can use my license to my new domain?
Hi there,
Licenses are not registered to a domain. You can just use the theme on the new site.
Is the review system customizable? Can I make it to be out of 5, or to be a specific thing, like 1/5 clapperboards for example? Or is it simply out of 10 stars?
How is the user reviews stored? Are they stored with the IP so the same person cannot store multiple reviews and spam the site?
Hi there,
You can have a maximum rating of up to 10, so you can rating 1/5.
For logged in users, the user reviews are stored in the user meta database table. For logged out users they are stored as cookies. IPs are not stored.
Sure, but can I change the actual rating system to be out of a custom image instead, like a clapperboard for example?
There are options to change the user rating images for three stats – rated, unrated and hover.
But I cannot customize it beyond that, like creating a review system of something of my choosing? Damn, unfortunate.
I would suggest another one of my themes which has far more freedom in terms of customisation of the rating system called Zine: https://themeforest.net/item/magzine-elementor-review-and-magazine-theme/33098719
Hello I don’t have support anymore. But just wanted to ask, why is the import demo not working? When I tried to do that, nothing happens. I do have the gauge plugin installed already. And since I cannot import the data, then there is no home page like what this item shows up. The “pages” and “posts” are all empty.
Nevermind, I found it. But how can I change the slider? Or the header? I am trying to create a sports>>athletes ranking/reviews but I can’t change the games at the top on the header.
https://iconsprofile.com/It still shows call of duty, dark souls…I tried to check on the sliders and it’s empty. I have been all over the website but can’t find where to edit this so that the new contents will be the ones to show up.
Hi there,
To edit the slider please see: https://ghostpool.com/help/gauge/help.html#32
If you need further support you will need to renew support and open a ticket at https://ghostpool.ticksy.com/
Hi,
I’m planning to create a multi-product review website where I can review a variety of items, such as cars, gadgets, and services. I’m considering using this theme but I’m unsure if it’s the right fit for my needs.
I noticed that the demo is primarily designed for gaming reviews. Would it be possible to customize the color scheme for each rating wheel by category (e.g., red for cars, blue for gadgets) and adapt the theme for reviewing various product types? Additionally, would this theme—or perhaps Hubs—be better suited for my requirements?
Is there any way to test the theme before purchasing?
Thank you!
Hi there,
The theme can be used to review any type of content. There is no options to change the colours based on category unfortunately. My Zine theme would be better for this purpose which you can check out here: https://themeforest.net/item/magzine-elementor-review-and-magazine-theme/33098719 It has a number of review demos you might want to check out
We do not provide the ability to test the theme before purchase, but if you’re not happy with the theme within 30 days of purchase you can receive a full refund.
Is it possible to list more than 1 review under a hub? Looks like every example has just 1 review.
Hi there,
No this is not possible, it’s one review per hub.
Dear Developer,
I appreciate your theme; it looks great! However, I have a small suggestion. Could you please add a “Download Now” button in the review section? This would make it easier for users who like the review to directly download the app. It could enhance user engagement and make the review section more actionable.
Thanks!
Hi there,
Thanks for your suggestions. The theme comes with the ability to add a Buy Now button with custom link in the hub/review header. If you want to add a download button with multiple download links you would need to customize the theme to do this, as there are currently no plans to add this feature.

is this polylang compatible?
Hi there,
The theme has not been tested with Polylang. It should work with WPML though.
Pre-Purchase Questions
1. is it possible to display the ratings in percent?
2. or with 2 decimal places?
3. can you specify individual rating criteria that then give the overall rating?
e.g. story 100 graphics 50 control 50
total: 66.67
4. can I change this completely to rate cars, for example? or magazines or whatever?
5. can I deactivate the user rating
Hi there,
1) No.
2) No
3) Yes, example: https://gauge.ghostpool.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/review/
4) Yes it be used to rate any content.
5) Yes.
I would suggest looking at my plugin Ultimate Reviewer which can be used with the theme and allows all of these or using my Zine theme which also has this rating system built in.
For some reason the category pages in woocommerce don’t show products, only the shop page home in php 7.4 , that’s a bit frustrating
Hi there,
Are you sure this issue is occurring because of the theme? I cannot replicate this issue on my installation.
Use the Health & Troubleshooting plugin to safely deactivate the theme and associated plugins to see if the issue still occurs. If it does, then it’s not related to the theme. If the issue is fixed when the theme is disabled, please email me at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact with your WordPress URL and admin login details and I’ll take a closer look.
Sorry to bring it up this way, I appreciate your help. I am on a legacy version but I did swap themes and this page worked. Thank you for looking in.
Hi! How to solve the problem: “Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /home/platne/serwer73790/public_html/wp-content/themes/gauge/lib/sections/hub-header.php on line 64 >RPG games
Hi there,
If you’re reporting a theme issue or bug and don’t have an active support license please email me at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact with your WordPress URL and admin login details and I’ll take a closer look.
OK, I’ll do that. Thanks
Hello,
Can the ratio (height x width) of the thumbnail images be modified?
Is it possible to allow only registered users to use the rating scale?
Also, can you make the colored line that reflects the rating go around the user rating circle as well as the reviewer rating circle? In the banner and the thumbnail if possible.
I was looking at your other themes and I didn’t realize that you retired this theme as well as Huber. You also said in a comment that you don’t recommend this theme for new customers.
Does that mean that for new customers who do purchase this theme, you won’t provide support for it?
Hi there,
Yes you can change the aspect ratio of the thumbnail images.
Yes the user rating can use the same circle as the site rating.
Neither Gauge or Huber are retired. They are still actively supported and updated with bug fixes and important features. I previously didn’t recommend customers purchase these themes as I did plan to phase them out, but due to popularity I decided to continue to update them.
That’s great. Now I just have to decide which one I should purchase. A few questions to help me decide:
Just so I understand how hub pages work – in Gauge, each hub page has its own child page for each tab. But in Huber, everything under all the tabs is a part of one big hub page?
So then, if I wanted to put videos in lightbox fashion under the Videos tab and not have to go to another page to view the embedded video (basically, I want videos to be exactly like how the images are under the Images tab) – is that possible on both themes, or one of them, or not possible at all?
And also regarding the Buddypress stuff, can those be put under a separate tab or are the tabs predefined and not modifiable in that manner?
Not exactly. Huber uses endpoints, meaning it still loads a new page to load the new tab content but this is based on the URL extensions (e.g. /review or /news) so there’s no physical child page you need to create.
It is not possible to add videos in the same as images with either theme, this would require custom work to integrate into the theme which I could certainly do for you.
Are you are referring to the hub tabs, if so you can add your own hub tabs and rename/remove the existing ones.
I’m not sure what you mean by BuddyPress stuff and how this relates to hubs?
Regarding the BuddyPress stuff – I meant something similar to how you have a Forum tab in the hub page and it shows the forum topic created specifically for the game. In the same fashion, I thought having a tab for BuddyPress groups or activities related to the genre of the game or the game itself, or something along those lines, might be a good idea.
I didn’t know you did customizations. I’ll send you a DM to get a quote for the custom work regarding the videos.
In Huber there is an option to associate a forum or topic with a hub post.
In Gauge a new Forum child page has been added with a shortcode to show a forum based on the forum id.
There are no options in either theme to associated other BuddyPress features such as groups or activities – this would require custom work.
Just a final question, and I realize this is somewhat of silly one and impossible to answer, but I’m still going to ask it.
I like the look and feel of Gauge a lot better, but ultimately performance is more important, so considering that Huber is a newer and more optimized version of Gauge – would you say, long-term, that Huber is the one that’s more suitable and more built to handle very large sites – 100K+ posts/pages and millions of images, or would you say that Gauge is just as capable of handling the same size sites without a significant difference in performance, if you take all other factors out of the equation (server size, provider speed, etc.)?
If WordPress is capable of handling that amount of content then both themes should be. Huber is probably better for you, in that you don’t need child pages for each hub post so it’s going to greatly reduce the number of pages in the backend. It also uses WordPress’s native image resize system so it’s compatible with CDNs and image optimisers whereas Gauge isn’t.
I also have another theme called Zine which has all the hub features of Gauge and Huber and is much newer. It is definitely more complex to use because everything is built with Elementor but it may be worth checking out: https://themeforest.net/item/magzine-elementor-review-and-magazine-theme/33098719 (see the Light Gaming and Dark Gaming Review demos in particular).
Hello I am using child theme..I am trying to make the affiliate link button to be opened on new tab. Is there a settings for this?
Hi there,
I have answered your question on the support site.
Yes got it, thank you!
Hello. Pre-purchase question. Is translation into French easy? And how? Thank you very much.
Hi there,
You can translate all the theme/plugin text easily with the Loco Translate plugin or PoEdit.
Hello, pre-purchase question. On the ratings section, can I have it just be my ratings and remove the user ratings? I’m assuming it is just an option in the theme but want to be sure before I purchase.
thanks
Hi there,
Yes this is just an option. So you can disable user ratings from appearing.
Thank you.
