I’m surprised how many options The Fox theme actually offers, it’s amazing! Anyway,there are few things I´ve been struggling with and haven´t found the solution neither in the documentation nor in this forum – hopefully you can help:
1) Customizer>(HOMEPAGE)Builder>Section>Query>PostFormat Can you please please add the “Standard” Post Format to the list? For some of my Sections, I really need a filter to display only Standard posts and no other posts.
2) How to embed a Youtube #shorts video so it is displayed in the original 9:16 aspect ratio? I tried these: # to insert the link directly to the post, # to change “16-9” in the Advanced block within the post to “9-16”, and # Ultimate Blocks plugin https://ultimateblocks.com/how-to-embed-youtube-shorts-in-wordpress/ but none of it worked – the video is always displayed in 16:9.
3) Is it possible to display The Fox social sharing icons on Tag archive and Category archive pages?

In Customizer, I activated HTML in excerpts (because I need clickable links in it) but the setting works only on Tag archive pages, Category archive pages, and in the subtitles in Single posts. It doesn´t work on homepage in Sections. How to make it work also on homepage? Thank you

1/ Ok, I have noted for future developments.
2/ I’ve noted this to fix. Right now, I confirm I face this problem too. You seems understand very well.
3/ Hmm, It’s currently not possible because honestly, it wouldn’t make much sense (Why would you want to share an archive page?). It’s not a common request so if you want to implement it, you’ll need to hack into the code.
4/ I confirm It’s currently in state of what you said. HTML excerpt will be avail in homepage in the upcoming version. If you open a ticket here, we can help you to make it work now with a simple line of code.

1+2: Sounds good. Could you please be more concrete about the time – will these updates happen within the weeks / months / or “not yet specified”? I am building the site and it will take me the time to finish it so I don´t need this immediately, but these are very important aspects for my site so I would like to know the situation and prepare myself, if needed, for finding another solution.
3: “Why would you want to share an archive page?” Well, because it´s a page that stores posts of a concrete topic at one place and one may want to be able to share it. But if you write it is not a common thing, visitors maybe wouldn´t even use the feature..
4: Amazing, when will be this update available? As I already wrote, I am still building the site so maybe I can just wait for the update and save you the time with my ticket

a) Is it possible to create an anchor (“jump link”) to the Section on homepage? If yes, how exactly?

3/ Yes, I mean maybe some customer needs it for some special sites. I just don’t see it elsewhere. For instance, nytimes doesn’t have it. In fact I didn’t know any site has archive share. I surely know some sites have it, just very uncommon.
5/ For the Jump link, you can set the ID for your section in your homepage builder > section > Section tab: https://prnt.sc/TErKNBXpo1hr

And a new question, if i can ask: RECENT POSTS WIDGET I use Recent Posts widget in one of my section´s sidebars and I wonder whether it is possible to edit its code to create a filter that ignores a certain amount of the latest posts so the widget loads the latest posts not from the 1st post but, let´s say, from the 9th post? 1/ Unfortunately we can’t add image post format because The Fox theme doesn’t support it, I mean, no interface, no difference from image & standard hence we do not add such an option.
2/ For the Recent Posts widget, It’s the WordPress thing, not The Fox thing so we can’t interfere it. However we have a widget FOX Latest Posts, we’ll consider to add the option you requested. It’s call “offset”.

1) When one creates also one-picture content and would benefit from filtering it from other post types, then technically there is a difference between Image and Standard 
BUT if this feature will not be part of the theme, I of course respect that

Good day to withemes! Sorry for my late reaction, I was off.
I updated the theme, and I have both positive feedback and some issues, so here it is -
1) I don´t know if this is important, but you may want to be informed. I tried to UPDATE the theme with Envato plugin following your tutorial but after clicking on orange “Update available” bar it gave me a message that the theme is already updated even though it was not truth. So I checked the Update Core page in my WP dashboard, the update was available from there, I clicked it, the update started but got stuck so after a while I refreshed the page in a new tab to check for any changes and finally the theme was updated. This was no problem for me to update this way but maybe you want to check if there´s something wrong with the plugin or so.
2) What a feeling to be able to easily EMBED 9:16 VIDEOS Thank you!!!
Unfortunately, since the update, I face issues both with 16:9 videos and 9:16 videos. Happens only with videos embed from Youtube, so I guess the issues are probably linked to the changes made for the embedding of 9:16 vids. Can you please help? It´s quite a complication.

1/ Regarding the update problem, if you need me to check then please open a ticket here with your login info.
Please note that Envato update is common for all themes, not just for The Fox theme. You can reach Envato as well in case you need.
2/ Regarding the video issue, could you please open a ticket here? There I have more space to resolve it, or at least look at it more serious. It seems a non-obvious issue I can’t reply/answer immediately now.
4/ In the latest version, It allows you to load italic fonts. However, you’ll need to do it manually. Please go to Customize > DESIGN > Choose Fonts and check to load italic of that font to load it.

It depends a lot on your site plugins, hosting & content (Ads, Images..). For the theme part, I can guarantee you The Fox does the best for its portion.

Can you add post update function for live post with liveposting schema? i love this theme and other theme foxiz has it but not pro look on that theme, i switched to this but we need live posting schema if possible. you can check foxiz for this, they have block to update post with more additional items with schema update.

The theme (I mean all wp themes) normally has nothing to do with adsense in this situation. If you’re using an Ad plugin, please contact the Ad plugin for help on this problem. Normally, all customers of The Fox theme could display the ad without any problem.

Any example of demo or screenshot or URL would help. Plus, what did you mean exactly by landing page? Did you have any idea how to build it? (by Elementor, any page builder or just WordPress gutenberg?). The answer varies depending on additional information you provide.

Sorry for the ambigous question. Currently i use the one of your demo which is the times writer theme. Here is what i want to put the video instead of featured image. For my purpose i have installed the Featured Video Plus Plugin so that when i edit the post what is located middle of landing page, it is not the video it is still image.

ThemeForest theme update is not like wordpress.org theme update that you will see an update nag. You can check our update guide. After installing & configuring Envato Market plugin, you’ll see update notice as wordpress.org.

Despite configuring Adsense settings to exclude ads from the header of my website (www.indietips.com), ads continue to appear in this area. This issue disrupts the layout by shifting elements left and right and persists as the user scrolls down. To mitigate the impact, I’ve temporarily disabled these ads until a solution is found.
Could you please provide guidance on any specific code modifications or settings adjustments that could prevent ads from appearing in the header? Your expertise on how to effectively designate the header as off-limits for Adsense would be greatly appreciated.

Header is a vague term, like TOC of a book. It can be in page 1, 2, 3 or at the end of books and with different formats. There’s no common header thing for entire WordPress so that can be the reason for unexpected stuffs.
Regarding The Fox theme, we design header by few HTML div with 3 sections, some CSS & JS involved. I’m not sure how “settings to exclude ads from the header” works with your Ad plugin and what did they refer “header” to?
I feel like this is 90% about ads mechanism and 10% theme-related. Hence if possible, you can ask for your Ad plugin support. If It’s a wordpress.org, they’ll have a support forum for each plugin.
You can comeback here later if you have a more technical info on this problem.

1/ If it’s a category item, It’ll mean to show 3 most-recent articles instead of sub-items. If you want 3 articles, please remove its sub-items. If you want sub-items, please replace it by a “Custom link” item instead of a “Category” item.

Thanks for the answers, I will buy this theme alone, but I also want you to tell me what this “CreativeWork” is, found through demos and almost all the sites that use this theme. I think that from the SEO point of view it is not exactly ok. And, the WebPage is also not filled in properly, we are referring here to Structured Data, of course.

CreativeWork is schema type of an article. Article = CreativeWork. If you try to validate nytimes, you’ll see a lot of this type as well. It’s just technical point if you ask hence It’s not in the documentation. It’s like how iPhone is made, the chip technology behind it with technical points. If you’re curious, we answer but they’re not part of documentation.

But I want to be sure that I can disable the “CreativeWork” option very easily from the theme settings, or at least find something in the documentation that can help me do this step by step because I would like to have only the article and review scheme/ product, being a tech news site.
Before buying this theme, I want to make sure that in the future you will help me in this case and that you will keep the theme alive by updating layouts and templates that are in trend and SEO.
That’s why I ask you to remove CreativeWork, from my tests, it affects the positioning in Google News and Google Search.
Can you also give me an example of an extremely popular news site that uses the creativework scheme and The Fox theme.

Unfortunately you can’t disable “CreativeWork” from any theme settings beccasue we do not have such a setting. We’re also not able to help you to do so. You need to open theme files in some code editor to search and remove them yourself. So please take your consideration twice before buying.

I don’t really understand the logic of putting creativework on a newspapper wordpress theme, no large international website has this structure and it can harm the positioning in google as well as in google news or discover. I hope that in the future you will think about this setting in the theme, when it appears we will buy it too, we really appreciate your work, but to say that you cannot help a buyer with something as important as structured data is a bit difficult.

I am seriously thinking of buying. Here are my questions because I need to be sure about it:
1) Question about #5 from your FAQs: Are there any major limits or is it really “any feature into any demo”? Eg.: “Paper” category layout into “Hawaii” demo, or “Mazed” fullwidth post layout into “Fox Bern” demo.
2) On one website, is it possible to use different layouts for Categories and/or Tags (category #1 = category layout style “x” and category #2 = layout style “xx”, and so on)?
3) On one website, is it possible to use different layouts for Single posts (one post = post layout style “x” and another post = layout style “xx”, including different sidebar layouts)?

Anyway, still need some details about #1 – if you could just confirm that Category/Tag styles shown in the demos are all available as Category/Tag layouts and can be used across the demos too (I haven´t found the Category/Tag layout list).

1/ Yes, there’s no limit. All demos are different only by fonts, colors, spacing, images.. All layout options are from same theme settings set. So mostly, Paper demo refers to fonts, colors.. being used in that demo. There’s nothing like “Paper category layout”. It’s just our random choice of layout from list of available Fox layouts for that demo.

1/ Yes, The Fox will be updated in the future to add more & more features. At least for this year, we’re planning to improve usability, layouts and try to integrate paywall system.
2/ There’s no options for source or via yet. We may add upon to customer requests or we consider It’s a feature to develop in the future.

Boxed layout, is often dark outside + light inside. So when It turns to dark mode, It’s dark outside + dark inside, so It’s no longer boxed layout.
That’s why we don’t dedicate for dark mode + boxed layout to work.
