Hello, Wp Bakery plugin version is 6.5 and it won t update to 7.1 via install Plugin > Update. It seems to be stuck in this version, Any idea why ? Thank you !
For those who get the same issue. I installed the Plugin directly with the Zip File included in the package (js_composer.zip) and it worked fine.

HI. My developer is telling me there is a technical issue with the theme as he is unable to download the content and it also contains an old version of WP bakery builder which will not activate. Please advise

WP bakery page builder and Slider Rev. plugins are bundled and you just need to install and enable it – ignore and dismiss any notification about this plugins.
You don’t need to buy additional licenses to activate them, but you are free to do so if you want to support the plugin authors.
In the main download folder you can locate the Definity Elements v3.0 plugin that you need to use the theme, you can manually upload this plugin or you can do the same via Appearance > Install Plugins > update the Definity Elements to v3.0 and the other plugins that have Definity name.
Thats it, the theme is updated to work with the latest PHP 8.2+ versions.

I am trying to update my page, but I can’t access the documentation or update the theme. The error we get when clicking the documentation is: “This site can’t be reacheddocs.ajdethemes.com took too long to respond Reason: http_request_failed – cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: cloud.ajdethemes.com.”

We purchased this theme, but have been having a problem while installing it.
First, we can’t access the documentation or install the demo content. The error we get for the demo content is: “An error occurred while fetching file from: https://cloud.ajdethemes.com/definity-v3-demo-import/01-demo-main-mp/definity-demo-main-mp.xml! Reason: http_request_failed – cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: cloud.ajdethemes.com.” It seems your website SSL certificate is down. Is this something that is being resolved at the moment? Do you have a timeline on how long this is going to take? If not, could you inform us in an alternative way to install the demo content?
Second, we cant activate WP-BAKERY because it requires us to update it to the latest version WP-BAKERY, however, won’t update past version 6.5 Is this related to your website being down? Or is this related to our server? We are using PHP 8.1 and wordpress 6.4

you need to update the Definity Elements and the other bundled plugins also. – Dashboard – Appearance – Install Plugins…
Also, be sure to check the documentation for specific settings locations.

Just update the theme and its bundled plugins (Definity Elements, Portfolio, etc.) to their latest version and there should not be any errors.
Dashboard – Appearance – Install Plugins…from there you can update them all.

I was able to get the updated theme installed successfully. However, I am unable to get one of the required plugins to update to the minimum required version…
I am able to start the update process and it looks like it succeeds, but then this message continues to show up.
Can you please help? I bought this theme over 3 weeks ago and can’t it get started on it.

the updated bundled plugins are in the theme and you can access them via: Dashboard > Appearance > Install Plugins > Update wpbakery to 7.1, etc.
To import a demo Dashboard > Appearance > Import Demo…
Make sure the Definity Elements plugin is updated to version 3.0.0 also.

I’ve just updated my site with the latest version of this theme but get loads of error. Currently using PHP version 7.3.33. If I upgrade my version of PHP the site goes down. When can we expect all of these issues to be sorted out. Shambolic!!!

Yes, this never really seems to work well. I have download this, installed it, updated plugins etc. All fine at this point. But as soon as I try and update my version of PHP from 7.3 to 8.3 I get errors and the site disappears.
To be honest I have just reverted back to PHP 7.3 and I’m still getting errors in the head of the page. Happy to send you a link privately.
There are three plugins that can’t be updated because of the out-dated version of PHP and WPBakery can’t be updated. Is this updated through the theme?

Also I can only help with my plugins and my theme, I can’t do anything about third party plugins.
When can we expect PHP 8 support? WPEngine just informed us that they are upgrading all sites to version 8 on Sept 20 with no exception.

Also still can login in it shows errors on white screen.

I just purchased the theme and the plugin Definity Elements does not install or activate, which renders the theme non-functional.
The only text that’s displayed is that there was a critical error.
My PHP version is 8.1, and wordpress is updated to 6.1.1.
This is a fresh WP install so there no other plugins active.
