I just updated WP to 6.5.5 and updated theme to latest. Now I can’t connect to site, and when I try to login it gives me download window wanting me to download “wp-login.php” file.
I have tried switching between PHP 7.4 and 8.1, but no luck.

I purchased this theme in 2019 and site is live but now has a big red message on homepage saying ‘Please activate theme’. So I went to customizer and checked and the purchase code from Themeforest is there but I added it again and published but the red message is still there. I don’t think it’s fair to ask me to ‘renew support’ when this issue is minor and the activation isn’t working. Can you help?

The theme doesn’t come with a child theme, so you must create one because every time the theme is updated it overwrites. The problem with switching to the child is it wants you to register it with your purchase code or buy another license to be able to switch to the child theme.
If this is incorrect please let me know. But, it does throw the big red overlay telling me to register the child theme upon previewing it or buy a license. Again, correct me if I’m mistaken.

Whatever I change in styling in WPBakery it does not take effect. It looks like your css or other styling overrides wpbakery settings.

Does it support Elementor Builder app?

All blocks/sections in the theme are created and designed using the tools of the WPBakery composer. There are also two ways in the theme of importing demo content. One of this is to import layout as html. But in such case not all blocks can be edited easy. The same is for the Elementor. It has own functionality and own composing of html which differs from the WPBakery. So, to make blocks easy editing you will have compose of them manually. Or just use html and edit css/html tags.
May be we will add Elementor Builder app in the future uppates.

I have the theme installed at https://thedjservice.com/blog and while in chat with my hosting service (bluehost) they decided to move it to https://thedjservice.com without (I said I didn’t want it, but they did it anyway). Now the activation code doesn’t work and the site is covered in the big red error. I removed the code from the dashboard. Could you reset it?
