You can disable it for each item (default WP option), or you can do it hard way – edit single-portfolio_item.php and delete
comments_template();
Hello there Great theme but im having trouble with the shortcodes
90% of the shortcodes doesnt work. i make a new post i press the shortcode button and your shortcodes appear. when i press a shortcode i want it doesnt do anything. nothing at all. only couple shortcodes when i press them they apear in the text input area.
after couple tests i used the Chrome inspect element then went to console and everytime i press a shortcode to appear i get this error Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token
what is happening?

I am having a problem with the slider. If I include icon font boxes (via your shortcodes), then the slider does not appear. Without the icon fonts, it does appear. Can you fix this please?
Also, the background image seems “stuck” – as in, I removed it from the Brankik Panel, but it is still on every page of my site. Help?

If bg image isn’t in Brankic Panel then it can’t be on pages. Clear the cache and it should be OK…
May I know if it is possible to the included background patterns in a boxed layout while using my own background image outside the box?

I’m new to wordpress, and while I think the themes looks really great, I’m not happy about the fact that the single portfolio pages are in such a fixed format (1 column of text + slider). What I would love is if I could link the portfolio thumbnails/buttons to any page I want and then can layout freely. Is it possible?
If it is not possible, I will make my own “buttons” that lead to freely layouted portfolio pages. I would like to place them in columns with the short code, but I was wondering if it’s possible to change the margins between the columns somehow?

you don’t have to use portfolio custom post type. You can use portfolio shortcode with “normal” categories too.
First of all… love this theme!! My question: The menubar does not show on what page you are. I mean the color block when you are on a page. For example: When I’m on the homepage, the word ‘Home’ in the menu should have a color block. Like the demo. How can I fix this?

Great theme but I’m having issues getting the slider to work. I’ve read through these comments and have tried every suggestion but still no luck. Here is the page I’m trying to get it to work on http://www.thecloudcomponent.com/test-page/. I have a featured image and an extra image uploaded on this page so it should be working. I’ve checked my Screen Options, Number of Extra images (used for slides), Settings -> Reading -> Static page, etc.
How do I make this work? I’d also like to have text on the images as shown in your demo.

For slider, you must have at least 2 Extra images set…

You have to use portfolio shortcode. Before that you have to organize items into categories. These categories are filters. any reason why any email that comes through the contact form get translated from like myemail@domain.com to myemail@n24.c03.server-system.net ?
is that my server doing something or the theme? i have never had this issue before and other elements on my server dont have an issue

Thanks so much for this awesome theme! I’m having some trouble with the portfolio page. Is there a specific way you have to re-size the images to make them fit within the hexagons? My images seem to protrude from the hexagon shapes and form a frame around the hexagon. Also, the slashes dividing up the categories on this page sit below the category names instead of between them. Is there a way to disable links in a portfolio feature, for one portfolio only? I want to show 8 items as “Featured Work” on my homepage, without letting users click-through a portfolio item details. I would like to still have the zoom-in option.
(I do not want to disable portfolio item links sitewide).

Hi! I have purchased the theme. However I am facing a lot of issues. It would be great if you can answer the questions below. My site url is nishitamuhnot.com.
1) You said I could add a plugin to have text below the images, before the comment box on the detailed portfolio item page. Can you please guide me on how to do that?
2) I don’t want all the images to be in a slideshow on my detailed portfolio item page. I want the next image to appear only when I click the next button. How do I do that?
3) On my portfolio page, I want the hover option but without the 2 buttons for lightbox and detailed page. Instead I want it to just go to the detailed portfolio item page on clicking the solid color hexagon that appears on hovering. I inserted the code to disable it from your FAQ page: jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $(”.clients a”).removeAttr(“rel”) }); However it did not work. Please help.
4) You said I could make the portfolio button on the detailed portfolio item page link back to a sub category rather than the portfolio page itself (which displays “all” by default”). When I try to do that I get options only for pages, not for subcategories. I thought of making different portfolio pages for all subcategories but that way links to all the subcategories wont be displayed on top of the items.
5) I want to add a new item in the main navigation menu on top (next to “about”, “blog”, etc). However this item should link to a different page not created within wordpress. How do I do that?
6) The size specifications for swf files do not work. Here is an example of a URL I am using: http://www.nishitamuhnot.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/logoanimation.swf?width=450&height=3007) The page name does not get highlighted in the main navigation menu on top when I am on that page.
8 ) The hyperlinked words do not show as hyperlinked on the main blog page with all the blog posts. However, it is fine when I go to the detailed page for that blog post.
9) The images associated with a blog post show up as too big (get stretched). I have tried all blog layouts but they don’t seem to affect the main blog page. Also, the detailed category, archives etc sidebar does not show up on the main blog page.
10) How do I remove the social network sharing options below my image on the detailed portfolio item page?
11) Can I have 6 columns on my portfolio page? The hexagons are too big in size. I tried setting their height sing portfolio options but it did not work.
12) Can I have my contact form appear in the footer section?
