Hi. Is there a way to have a portfolio item with several videos? Not just one? I did a project for a client with a series of Youtube videos, and would like to have them on the same Portfolio Item, instead of creating a new Item for each video. Is this possible?

Pre-sale question: In the Portfolio section I would like to be able to create and click on an image that links ONLY to a blog post or page or external url (without the magnifying-glass icon). Will I be have the option to have the reader click on the portfolio thumbnail itself instead of the tiny icons? Thanks!

A quick question from a newbie!
I love the theme and I’m working with the demo content to figure out how to make changes to the site.
However, I’m a bit confused about how to create a portfolio page. I’d like to have both photos and videos with the filter at the top. I’d like to keep adding to these on an ongoing basis.
Is there any chance you could give me a brief step by step guide to achieving this?

I can’t give you better tutorial than in help file.
Filters are categories. Just add new items and that’s it…

I created a category (Photos) and then created a portfolio by adding a new portfolio item. In the new portfolio item page I added my images by clicking on the ‘add media’ button and created a gallery. I then clicked to insert the gallery into the post. I then clicked on ‘photos’ in the portfolio categories section on the right.
I then created a page that I called ‘Media’. In that page I used the Brankic tool and selected portfolio. It was labelled at the top with ‘Recent Work’. I selected it and it gave me this shortcode:
[bra_portfolio title=’Recent Work’ cat_id=’’ no=’-1’ show_filters=’yes’ columns=’2’ shape=’’ height=’’ hover=’yes’]
When I published it, it only displayed this:

All
I’m just a bit confused as to why the shortcode generator doesn’t allow me to select the particular gallery I want inserting and also how I can combine galleries so that video and photos are on the same page and can be selected through the filter system.
Sorry I all this seems very basic but I’m new to WP and could do with a helping hand.

You did it wrong.
Each portfolio item (you can see in our live preview) is ONE post. Image you can see is Featured image.
So, create more posts, assign them to subcategories and choose parent category in portfolio shortcode…

Just change items dates. It’s arranged by it’s date in reverse order (newest first)

Two qeustions:
1. I have chosen the red theme but I am lacking the red color to highlight the current page I´m on (in the menu).
2. How do I get the description background to be same height as buttons?
If you only choose to add description for the sliders on first page and portfolio it looks nice and the dark background has the same hight as the buttons. But I tried to add a title and then removed it because I wanted it on the same height but I can´t come back. I also tried to reinstall a fresh theme and database but it didn´t work.

You must choose Primary menu in Appearance -> Menus.
Just use Caption and delete Description values.
I change the font from google web font but only menu text is changed still using helvetica for the rest of the site

why not? it’s easy to change font in most of the theme I bought and this is the only one with the problem, and I’m just looking for a solution here
It’s easy to change Google Web Font.
If you want to change all other fonts you have to add this to Extra CSS
body {
font-family: Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
}
and change font family.
ps: I though you want to change some other titles to some other font. Sorry for misunderstanding…

When it comes to working on the “server” I’m a rookie. When I’m on the server it only allows me to upload files and not whole folders. How exactly do you do it by the second option…
“Another way is to delete current version from the WP Dashboard and upload bigbangwp.zip file.”

As a continuation of the question by “artgerm” – if I want to include a background pattern in the content-wrapper of all pages except one, how would I write the CSS for that individual page (that I do not want a background pattern in the content-area) if I have the following CSS thus far:
.content-wrapper { background-image:url(‘ABSOLUTE PATH TO THE IMAGE’); }
.page-id-XY .content-wrapper { background-image:none; }
To get .page-id-XY check the source and look for the class of BODY tag…
