Hi, I bought Jnews and imported the demo and style but no matter the demo I chose, me website header and footer will never change to those of the Jnews demo. I have watched several videos, experimented between visual composer and Elementor and followed every steps but to no avail. What could be wrong?

Please ignore this query, it’s been sorted. In case someone else has this issue, I was able to sort mine by deactivating some plugins on my WordPress and it worked.

1. Please try to update the plugin via Dashboard > Plugins find the JNews – Essentials plugin there and try to update it

2. please disable the caching plugin and security plugin if you are using one while importing the demo, Also, if you are using the Hostinger plugin, we recommend disabling it temporarily before importing the demo.

3. please try to resave the permalinks, in the WordPress Dashboard, please go to settings > permalinks, click the save changes button at the bottom of the permalinks page without changing any settings

4. please make sure the WordPress file permissions and ownership are correct on your server, you can use this documentation below as a reference for WordPress file permission and ownership

5. please set at least the PHP memory limit on your server to at least 64MB (recommended: 128M) and max upload file to at least 64 MB, please check the documentation below

After automatically updating the theme, I saw that a few plugins were updated. All the plugins I updated were deleted from my WordPress panel and I started getting ridiculous errors in the error_log file. WHY?

Hello, whats happen since few days ? Elementor not working anymore. The side panel is blank, impossible to click on button to select elements.

I tried everything (deactivated external plugins, reinstalled Elementor…) nothing to do. When we activate Elementor’s debug mode, we can see that the problem is caused by the theme itself. A solution ?

Hello – I left a comment the other day about how since the update to version 11.5.1, the Elementor widget display has gone blank; it seems that the @jegtheme support team has deleted my comment for some reason. I also see that @xstudio is having the same Elementor issue. Anyone else?

Since the May 2 update, the Elementor editing slot is no longer displayed. You need to click on the small Settings wheel at bottom left for this to appear. But you can’t add Elementor or Jenws elements to a page or article. Here’s how. I saw another comment on this subject but it has since disappeared from Themeforest.

Hello, I’m considering building a news website as requirement below:

1. Users can log in using Google, Facebook, or Apple accounts. 2. Access to articles is restricted to subscribers only, requiring payment. 3. Subscribers can select specific categories of news to subscribe to. 4. The website should integrate with the WooCommerce payment gateway. 5. Users should have the ability to become authors and share articles or news they’ve written. 6. Articles can have multiple authors contributing to them. 7. May we know which builder are using in this theme

The Editor role users media upload size is stack on 2MB even if I changed using all existing methods like, htacess, php.ini, user.ini, functions.php, wp config file. On admin user media upload size is 128MB and editors 2MB but on other old theme it is 128MB on user roles. what can I do to fix this issue with Jnews theme thanks in advance.

First, my support has expired long ago, but pls I need your assistance. Its with the gallery. It never displays as the JNews Gallery depicted in your Photography Demo. Mine displays as normal Wordpress gallery. Pls help

I want to filter the posts in a model like Model 21, or Model 28 to show most read articles (by view count) but only those published in the last 24 hours, or in the last 7 days. The goal is to show most read articles but exclude older posts.

An old story may have huge view counts every day, but its not really a News Top Story.

Third: I want to add one or 2 more section below the article (at the end of the single post, after the comment block) to display more posts with say Model 21.

I’ve created a new sidebar widget that I want to use for the shop page however, even when forcing the new widget on the shop page, the one showing on the frant-end remains the Default sidebar.

Is that normal or it should give me the newly created sidebar?

so if you want to modify the sidebar of the Woocommerce single product page you can modify it from Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Default Sidebar

I have a lot of client websites using this theme, but after a recent update you have now created a big security risk. You now require the admin user who is going to perform the update for the plugins related to the theme to be logged into the same user who purchased the theme. This means that only the person who setup the website is able to update the theme and plugins. Why is that? This creates a real potential security issue since the websites are no longer able to keep themselves updated unless the person who setup the website is the one actually updating the plugins.

And why are you still not allowing a multi-site license? I have ONE license for the theme, but not for the client websites I am talking about, they were setup by someone else who is no longer involved with the project, but is still in charge of renewing the license.

This is done to mitigate the risk of unauthorized users updating themes or plugins and potentially embedding malicious code, which could compromise the security of the website. Therefore, while we understand this may inconvenience some users, it is ultimately in place to safeguard the integrity of your website. so as long as the Theme license is activated, users that have admin permission will be allowed to update the theme or plugin, they don’t need to be the same users account as purchased the Theme

Regarding your concerns about multi-site licenses, I want to assure you that our theme does support WordPress multisite environments. With a single license, you can use our theme on a WordPress multisite network as long as all sites within the network are subdomains or subdirectories of the same domain. This means that you can manage multiple client websites under one license, provided they are part of the same multisite network.

Which is where I get the issue mentioned in my first post, nada: Tips: You must be logged into the same Themeforest account that purchased JNews. If you already logged in, look in the top menu bar to ensure it is the right account. So, no, I am not able to update the plugins if I am using the wrong admin account. This has recently happened.

I would like to help clarify a few points regarding our discussion:

1. You need to activate the theme license to update the included plugins.

2. Only users with the administrator role can manage plugins. This is a default setting in WordPress.

3. You can create more than one administrator role, and to update the plugin, the admin user is not required to have the theme license if the theme license has been activated.

4. You can use 1 regular license for 1 domain and its subdomains.

I have a question before buying.

I intend to have several information sections on my website: besides news, there should be articles, columns, reports, etc. The materials will also have taxonomy by topics (e.g, politics, economy, culture etc) and regions (Europe, USA etc). The materials in each section should have different templates. Some sections, such as reports, are available only to premium users.

The question is: can I use the JNews theme for content structure with several custom taxonomies (for example, one thematic, another for specifying the type of content, a third regional, etc.), after which a specific material template will be selected for each type of content?

Or is it more correct in my case to implement such a structure by adding separate CPT for articles, reports, etc.? But, as far as I understand, your topic does not provide the opportunity to assign ready-made templates for CPT, and they will have to be implemented separately (for example, using JetEngine and Elementor Pro Theme Builder)?

Thanks for reaching us, base on your use case, we recommend to use different post category or post tag to group the article you want to made, if you are using post category or post tag you can use JNews Feature to set different template for every post category or post tag, if you are using custom post type, unfortunately our template didn’t support custom post template yet

for the premium post with our JNews paywall, we have feature to set only specific post set as premium, but sorry unfortunately we didn’t have feature to set only specific category as premium post, so it only can set premium per post or set all the post as premium
