I have last two questions regarding J3.2 (RC101):
1. I am willing to implement Google reCAPTCHA v3 in Journal 3.2 which cannot be done in stock OpenCart 3.0.4.0 (only reCAPTCHA v2). I have analyzed your onepage checkout file located in /catalog/view/theme/journal3/template/journal3/checkout/checkout.twig and near the end of the file there is this piece of code: {{ md_google_recaptcha_v3 }}
It suggests that checkout will be compatible with following extension from OC marketplace: Google reCAPTCHA v3 OpenCart Integration (https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=36314) made by MagDevel
Could you please confirm that this extension should work with J3.2? Have you also tested it with login, register and other Journal forms (like contact form)?
2. I have a small problem with styling the search suggestion area in J3.2. Products with long name change the image sizes (see pic: https://prnt.sc/x1sfz-MEcnc0). It can be misleading for the customers and made them think that the result with bigger image is more important. I have checked inside Journal menus but I cannot find any option to force certain image dimensions for search suggestion area.
The other way will be truncate product title but I also cannot find such option. Could you please provide some fix for this problem?

2. We cannot see your image but if you are referring to the search auto suggest product listing you can apply image dimensions in Journal > Skins > Edit > Image Dimensions > Search Auto Suggest…

We are not sure why the image width is changed, that’s not happening on our end, tested in Demo 12 by making a product name long in the inspect panel https://cln.sh/lDdt2SRw
The image container will extend in height to match the table row height, but the image width will stay the same.
We would need to take a look at your setup in order to determine what’s going on, please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers.

When I search for the word in the title, like “Comfortable” and “Comfor table” (with and without space), the product is found immediately. Similarly, a search for a word in the description finds the product without spaces but fails when there is a space in the keyword.
Hi, this may not be a theme related issue, we use the default Opencart search mechanism, please make sure everything works the way you expect when using the default Opencart theme first.

I have a modification that puts a javascript in all forms in OC, so it affects Journal’s forms. Problem is I have to adjust the coding to work with Journal vs other themes. Is there an IF condition I can put in the twig that will basically be “if journal do this, else do this” and it not cause a problem in any other theme?
Hi, you can check if current theme is Journal in twig with the following conditions: if j3 is not defined (for Journal 3.1) and if journal3 is not defined (for Journal 3.2).

After update from 3.1.8 to 3.1.13.1 – The theme in the admin panel has broken. When I try to open something in Journal in the left menu it give me only a Loading message and nothing else…

It was properly performed as explained in the documentation. Just uploaded the files in the root folder and refreshed the modifications after that… So everything was complished correctly. My support is expired but there is no sense if everytime when someone tried to follow your instructions to upload the new fiels, to break everything and to have a need to buy another support period. There is no sense.
Like we said already, a “Loading” message could mean a million different things, we cannot guess what that might be and most certainly is related to your individual setup or server since it’s not happening to anyone else.
Unless you provide explicit error messages we cannot possibly guess what’s going on, that’s why we need temporary access to investigate on your end and check.

I bought 2 licences, I was testing the design in 2 folders of 2 domains of my domanins, but I deleted those examples , and now I changed it to its final destination: https://labodeguitacomercializadora.com/ I have 2 licences but only need to use 1 for now, please help the theme is blocked because of the domains I was testing it on but those stores were deleted already, they were just for testing until I got the actual domain (the testin g was in https://academyofpython.com/juan-food and thge other in https://hipno-terapia.com/supertienda/ but I deleted them)

Hi, how can I change a product’s state as ‘NEW’ again? I tried to change the Date_Added and Date_Modified but didn’t help. I want to show my latest products with the ‘NEW’ label. Please advise. Thank you!
Hi, New label is added to the latest x products ordered by date_added. If you have changed date_added in the database just make sure you have cleared Journal cache and issue should be solved after.

I have 20 latest products now by updating all the added dates. And cleared the Journal cache (a few times) as suggested. Now, I have the NEW label only 10 of them. What am I doing wrong?

Also, if you are displaying Products on home page, if you want to see 20 products you must edit the corresponding Products module and set limit to 20.

I think it is Latest Label in my version and there is no New limits option box.
Hi, in Journal 2, product labels can be edited from Journal > Settings > Global > Product Labels. Products on home page are added using Journal > Custom Sections module.

My opencart installation, agter installing journal, does not have the import/export option!!! I urgentñly need to do the import!!!
Hi, if you are referring to the demo export process, that is done from our demo admins, that’s where you would find the export options.
So access your desired demo admin by adding /admin in the demo url, log in with user/pass: demo/demo and proceed to Journal > System > Import/Export to do a demo export.
You then import the downloaded file into your admin in the same place, see our docs https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/demos/demo/

Hi, there is no such option in Journal, it depends on how the extension you are using for displaying instalments work. Contact its developers for more information about how to integrate extension in Opencart.

Hi DA, I updated the opencart first with version 3.0.4.0 successfully and downloaded the theme from https://www.journal-theme.com/beta-v32/ and updated the journal files for OpenCart_3.x from folder by replacing the files from downloaded once. After that i am getting http 500 server error. After restoring backup it works fine to old version. I could see there is Journal_Assets_3.2.0-rc.101_f43b4a9f.zip link also, do i need to use that also. Do i missed any step or any dependency for using 3.0.4.0, I am using php 7.4. Please advise. Hi, you don’t need to use assets, those are various images used in our demos, you will eventually replace them with your own. Your issue seems related to a PHP error, contact your hosting provider and enable PHP error_display so you can see what error is generated.

Hi, there is no such issue with the demo import/export in our 3.2 demos, we can’t replicate it and haven’t received other such reports.
There could be something local on your end that prevents that but doesn’t seem theme related, we would have to investigate so we need to take a look at your setup.

Hi DA, I tested again at my end after downloading the JOURNAL_3.2.0-rc.102 & uploaded the OpenCart_3.x files but still the sql file after uploading not giving success. please let me know other way of uploading the downloaded sql file. Can i upload directly into my database.
Hi, you must increase server upload limits if .sql file cannot be uploaded. Alternatively, Journal 3.2 allows zip file uploads so archive .sql file as .zip file and import the .zip file (again, server upload limits must be greater than the .zip file size).
